Everyone’s lives sit in a precarious balance, except Clara Artesia’s. Being a pawn in everyone else’s game forced her to make a choice between two men, and a final decision that would destroy her. Clara will continue her journey of self-discovery while learning of the true world in which she belongs.
The world of Darthium and its secrets have been frozen in time, but now it has been liberated from the curse that once bound it. Clara must join forces with a man whom she doesn’t trust in order to find the truth. After reconnecting with friends, Clara knows she must trust herself, but her tender heart makes it difficult when the truth about her mate surfaces.
In this captivating, action-packed sequel to A Clash of Stars, Britt Stark connects the past with the present, unleashing the unexpected on everyone and everything that exists in Darthium.
Ever since Britt was a child, she loved reading and telling stories. For a very long time, she kept an idea journal full of ideas never thinking she would actually write them into a story. She knew she wanted to be a teacher her whole life, but there was a passion calling her, the one to write.
Britt is a native of Louisiana and currently resides there with her husband and daughter. She hopes that others will fall in love with her fantasy world as much as she has.
YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PUT THIS BABY DOWN I adored A Clash of Stars but let me tell you... I'M OBSESSED with A Clash of Embers. Clara's inner monolog is *chefs kiss*. Girl had me howling laughing! This story flings you right back into Clara's story and the ride DOES NOT STOP. I'm pretty good at guessing twists but I didn't see ANY of these coming. The development of the characters and the way Britt made me love one of them that I insisted I would never care for was phenomenal. As someone who takes a minute to get immersed in a fantasy world, I appreciate the way that Britt weaves the lore into a fast paced story. I flew through this book and will probably do a reread once my physical copy arrives! Oh, and the spice is 🌶🥵
A Clash of Stars was great, but this was even better! Brit kept me hooked throughout the book, and I never knew what was going to happen next. The character development and explanations were perfectly written, and helped to better understand them from the first book. I appreciated the addition of some spice in here too🔥🔥🔥.The ending was perfect for the 2nd book, and has me waiting for another already!!!!! Also- always team Evander xoxoxo
Once again, Britt Stark has written a book that both satisfies the reader, but also leaves you immediately wanting to know what happens next! I appreciated that certain characters were further developed and suspected plot twists were confirmed from Book #1. I love that the author allows you to sympathize with both of Clara’s love interests, and who she should ultimately give her heart to, and I was pleased with her final choice (for now). While there are many, many characters and places to keep track of while reading, which can make the story line more challenging to follow, I still look forward to reading the next book in this series to see the fates of characters who have me rooting for them all the way!
This was such a good follow up to A Clash of Stars. Even with all the twists and turns and reveals it was so easy to follow the story. I knew things were going to end up in a cliff hanger again but I still wasn’t prepared.
I’m not looking forward to having to wait almost a whole year for the next one 😫 I just want my babes happy and together and left alone 😭
Better than book one, a lot better! More flow to the story but still a hard read I couldn’t really follow a lot of the characters due to name changes and new characters being added and SO many side characters stories going on tangents. Was disappointed with the end fight scene or lack of but the potential for this book to be amazing is so big! This is just my personal opinion! The story is amazing and part of the writing exquisite just the book on a whole just didn’t pull me in
I was selected to be apart of the ARC team and I am so happy I was!!! This is book two of the clash series and OMG! Britt does it again! This book makes you feel like you are right there beside Clara and you experience all of the emotions along with her.
Every time you think you have it figured out Britt gives you more information adding so many brilliant layers to this absolutely amazing story! She is a genius with how she has written all these details and characters to intertwine the worlds from book 1 to book 2.
I can’t express enough how much I enjoyed these books! I love how you get thrown into the world and I was immediately hooked! If you have not read book one I highly recommend that you read Clash of Stars and then continue this epic adventure with Clara in Clash of Embers.
I have fallen in love all over again with all of these characters and can’t wait to see what happens next in Clara’s battle to defeat evil!
A Clash of Embers by Britt Stark is the second book of the new adult fantasy romance series titled Clash. Book two picks up after the fallout from the end of book one as Clara tries to make sense of what happened. Tropes include fated mates, second chance romance, love triangle, and hidden identity. Please see content warnings.
The Lovely: The premise and the plot was engaging. It was full of twists and turns that kept the story moving and even the reader didn’t know who to trust. I also grew to love Clara and the MMCs much more in this book compared to the first. Between the love triangle and the changing relationships, I felt more connected to the characters and what they were experiencing. This does end with a cliffhanger.
The Mundane: At times the story felt like it was being told from a 20,000 foot high view. Aside from Clara and the MMC, we didn’t get to spend a lot of time with the characters and their relationships with each other. It felt like sometimes important events and interactions were sort of glossed over or covered more in summary.
The Dreadful: While this was described as a new adult fantasy romance, and definitely contains topics not suitable for the under 18 crowd, the writing felt distinctly like YA. The language used by the author both in dialogue and descriptions felt simplistic (i.e. “the super fun crowd behind me” and the FMC’s frequent giggling at her mate) and there was a lot of telling instead of showing. It just didn’t feel realistic to me for characters in their early 20s (and older).
Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 spicy flames
Recommendation: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I had high hopes for this book and while the story was engaging and I loved the relationships, the telling of the story detracted from the reading experience for me. However, I did become invested in the story itself (& relationships) and will definitely read the sequel to learn what happens. If you like very new adult fantasy with steam and a stellar plot, I think you would like this book.
This is such a great second book to this series! The story is beautiful and flows like a majestic river. There's the perfect amount of story, sexual tension, AND SPICE! I didn't think she could make this book an enemies to lovers also because the first book was, but she did! And she did it well! You literally fall in love with all these characters again like it's the first time meeting them. Britt seriously has a wonderful way of telling stories that makes you have all these feelings and then gives them to you all over again like it's the first time reading anything in this series.
I know I made this book sound super sweet and cuddly but I must warn you! You WILL get whiplash, you WILL get angry, and you WILL have all the feels! Britt may write a beautiful book but she doesn't let you only be happy and lovely, she'll make you cry and yell also. I CANNOT wait for the next book! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️ (Most would give 3 but I read really raunchy stuff)
I absolutely loved A Clash of Embers. This was just as good as book 1. The tension between characters, an ever expanding world, and delicious spice were mixed perfectly.
We jump right in where A Clash of Stars ends. The history of Darthium becomes more intricate as we learn things that were hidden in book 1.
I love how this book was able to change my opinion on some of the characters. There are some new faces added, and maybe some roles have changed from book 1 as well. 😉
If you like romance, fantasy, or romantic fantasy, do yourself a favor and pick up this series. I am so excited to find out what happens in book 3!
Thank you so much to the author for the ARC of this book!
Let me preface this by saying that I didn’t even like the first book of this series, but for some reason I still had the urge to pick up book 2 to see how that cliffhanger played out. Boy do I have regrets. This book was so bad. It was cringy and ridiculous and infuriating. You’re really going to try to convince me that she ended the last book madly in love, married, and mated… all for her to say BOY BYE within the FIRST 30 PAGES of the next book?! Nah girl. You didn’t even try to go find your man. You missed him for maybe 2 seconds and then decided that you’d rather just bone his (spoiler alert) brother. I have never loathed a FMC more than I do this chick.
Clara even says to Leo/Madok at one point: “It would have been you. It was always you.” GIRL WHAT? You just told Evander that you loved HIM in Chapter 2, now barely 60 pages later you’re basically telling this other dude that you were what… just kidding??? But don’t worry y’all, she’s back to choosing Evander in another 50 pages or so. I swear I got whiplash from this girl and her hormonal decisions.
I got to the ending and decided that all of the characters could die at this point and I wouldn’t care either way. I will not be continuing to read this series, or probably anything by this author. I’m annoyed.
Arc review : Honestly at this point if Brit Stark writes it I will read it!!! I loved this book from start to finish I couldn’t put it down. So many new elements at play and new information that we didn’t have before. This was a perfect addition to Clash of Stars and that epilogue ending!!! I honestly can’t wait to read more of this story in the future.
First I want to begin by saying, I am so freaking proud of Britt. She is going the damn thing and she is doing it so amazingly. To know her, is to love her and I am so honored and thankful that I know her.
She poured her heart into this book and it freaking showed.
I picked this book up, immediately, after I finished Book 1- A Clash of Stars. AND I couldn't put it down.
Her writing growth is absolutely incredible. I mean like damn. This makes me so proud to be a reader for her. To see this growth. This development.
Now, to the book, holy hell. That was a fucking whirlwind. The twists and turns. The plot development. The little sneaky foreshadowing. All of it was done so incredibly.
Clara's growth as a character, how she handle all the bombs that were constantly dropped on her. She handled like a queen 👑 I would have lost my mind.
Evander's growth as a character was all so good. He accepted who he was, but also wasn't scared of accepting that little bit of goodness that he had all along.
Leo still has some growing up to do. He had alot of shit happen, alot of uncovering truths and I can't wait to see him become the person he needs to be, for himself.
Now, there was a MAJOR plot twist that absolutely blew my fucking mind. I am still trying to sort through it.
Overall, this book was so well written. The time and dedication that she put into it is very apparent. It still had that fun, quirky tone, but it had a more serious tone, that was much needed for the contents of this book.
Great Job, Britt Stark. You are incredible. I am so proud of you and I can't wait to see everything that you accomplish.
A Clash of Embers was such a great story. Britt did a wonderful job world building. The character developments and dialogue were written so well. I thought A Clash of Stars was good, but this one was better. I can't wait for book 3!
I was lucky enough to receive this book as an arc, and oh boy… where do I begin? Clara’s story continues and we get to see some great character development. In typical Britt fashion, you will get twist and turns and of course some whiplash. This book was hard to put down. Definitely a must read series!
Also, be ready because the cliff hanger will leave you pretty angry 😅
I received A Clash of Embers has an ARC and her is my unbiased honest review. I’m rating the book 3.5 ⭐️2 🌶️ I’m going to start off by saying I enjoyed the story and it did grab my attention from the beginning. I think my biggest complaint about the book is sometimes I felt the writing was a little immature with the choice of words that were used in the dialogue between the characters. I also would have liked to have seen a little more character growth with some of the side characters they just seemed to stay stationary within the story. I had some whiplash while reading where the plot was heading in on direction or a character started off one way then all of a sudden it switched coarse and went another direction then switched back the other way again. If this was done on purpose it kept me on my toes guessing on which way the story was going to go. The ending was good, can’t wait to see what is going to happen between the two brothers and how Ev and Clara’s relationship will work out.
O.M.G! DUDE. I don’t know how to put my emotions and feelings into words 🤣 this was another 5 star read from the author! I devoured this in one night! Such good & easy world building THE TENSION… THE SPICE… pheww!! The plot twist was twistingggg !! & the training scenes was 👩🏼🍳💋. If you’re looking for found family, training scenes, spice, morally grey MMC, kick ass FMC, found family, secret reveals etc… you have to pick up this series!! HIGHLY recommend!!
This book is exactly what I needed after reading book 1! It transports you into a world that had been frozen in time. Clara unravels secrets & finds confidence in her new abilities. She has battles in love, on the battlefield & within herself! LOVE this series & can’t wait to see what’s to come in book 3! 🔥
Where to begin? I LOVED the first book (A Clash of Stars) and was instantly sucked into the story and always had to read another chapter to see what happened. It is no different with A Clash of Embers! I patiently waited for book #2 and after reading I now have to wait for the rest of the series. I loved that we got a better look into Clara’s character and that she started to accept who she is. I will always be a team Evander girl through and through. I can’t wait to see where the rest of the story goes from here!
Thank you to the author for allowing me to be a part of the ARC team!
The curse is broken; Carondelet has been returned to Darthium. But the cost was high, and Clara doesn’t know what to do next. As she struggles to wrap her head and her heart around everything’s that’s changed, she’ll also have to contend with a forces greater than she ever imagined.
The difference time and experience can make when developing a story is incredible. My biggest issue with book 1 was that the writing was honestly kind of clunky; it was hard to follow, and I spent most of my time trying to decipher the story instead of just sitting back and enjoying it. This book, for the most part, does not have this issue. There were still a few parts here and there where it seemed like the same information was duplicated, the occasional lost plot point, and a few minor structure or continuity issues. For the most part, however, I was able to just sit back and actually read a pretty good story.
Since I was able to focus on the actual information this go around, I can discuss things like the setting, plot, and characters! We’ll start with the plot. On the whole, it was entertaining. There were twists and turns, and there were things I didn’t see coming. I did have a slightly difficult time really getting drawn into it, but I think that has more to do with the characters than the actual story. The language is basic and easy to follow, and there were more summaries of the revealed information than there were in book 1. This helped keep everything in check for the reader, which I appreciated, but it did also kill the flow a bit. The FMC’s internal monologues were a bit long for my taste (they seemed to be the primary means of exposition), but I think that’s more a style preference than anything else.
While we’re on the subject: the characters. There was a lot less interaction between the FMC and our side characters this time, which was a little disappointing as I really enjoyed a lot of them in the first book. In exchange, though, the author gifted us with significantly more FMC/MMC interactions (and a lot more spice). I do have 2 major critiques about each of those characters. Our MMC is kind of like a pit bull—all hyped up to be this horrible, evil monster set on slaughtering people for no reason, but in reality? Big giant baby who just wants cuddles. I love pitties, but for our MMC it just kind of felt like the character development got lost somewhere. I think it’s supposed to be one of those ‘oh no, he’s just misunderstood’ types of things, but it felt like the execution just wasn’t there. He went from ‘reputedly evil bastard’ to ‘sweet and caring partner’ in about 2 chapters with no real development or explanation in between. Our FMC is really sweet, but her personality is constantly all over the place. She’s fierce and strong, and then she’s terrified and basically just a magical cannon for someone else to point in the right direction. She’s stubborn and pushy, and then a doormat. She shows little to no leadership abilities, and then [spoiler, but you get the idea]. Every time the girl opens her mouth, I kind of want to shake her. Reasonable and expected, given her situation? Probably. But that didn’t make me like her any more. This is almost definitely a personal preference, but it was significant enough that I noticed.
Finally, the setting. This part of the book was done well. The scenes are detailed and vivid. The locations are different enough from each other that you know the characters have moved around. While there isn’t an inordinate amount of specific details, there’s enough to visualize where the characters are and what’s going on without getting bogged down with 75 different descriptions of flatware. It works for the story, and it was enjoyable to read. I’d have liked more information about the magic system and the different regions, but it really wasn’t necessary, and you don’t lose out of anything vital by not knowing.
Overall, book 2 was significantly stronger in terms of writing and plot structure than book 1. It spun an entertaining story that I was able to follow, and it did so while painting a good picture of the world our characters live in. If you like moderately spicy romantasy with curses and wars and all the major magical being types you can think of, this might be a good fit for you. This is book 2 in the series, and it cannot be read as a standalone. You’ll need to start with book 1, “A Clash of Stars.”
𝙰 𝙲𝚕𝚊𝚜𝚑 𝚘𝚏 𝙴𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚜 𝚋𝚢 @authorbrittstark • Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Spice: 3/5 🌶️ • I have had the amazing privilege to preview this book as an ARC read. 🤍 • A Clash of Embers continues our story with Clara. She is trying to sort through the aftermath of loss and devastation from the first book, and trying to form new perspectives in the New World we come to know as Darthium. No one is who they seem. Clara is trying to form new relationships and friendships with new people. However, also making old connections with familiar figures. This book gives more clarification on what has happened with the curse since it has been broken. And what happened with her friends and family. I truly enjoyed this book. It was a book that I definitely devoured within the span of 48 hours. There are a lot of highs and lows in this book. Shocking moments and wtf moments. Secrets and betrayal. Spicy scenes that will forever replay in my head 🫠😘🔥 Britt was more than gracious enough to let me give my thoughts to her as I was reading this book 😆🫶🏻 I still consider this series, one of the best series that I’ve read ever. You will fall in love with the characters all over again and then some. I can’t wait to get my hands on the physical book! • 🔥𝕋𝕣𝕠𝕡𝕖𝕤🔥 Fated mates Strong FMC Enemies-to-lovers Forbidden love Gods and Goddesses Love triangles Secret/hidden identity Lovers on opposite sides of a war Reluctant companions on a quest Bloodborne Magic Redemption Second Chance Romance Different Worlds • 🚫𝕋𝕣𝕚𝕘𝕘𝕖𝕣 𝕎𝕒𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤🚫 Kidnapping Blood Death of a spouse Death of a parent (mentioned from book 1) Death of a friend (depicted on page) Sexually explicit content Blood Play Parental Death & Attempted murder (not FMC, not depicted on page) Death of family (mentioned by side character) Depictions of war Fight scenes (swords & gore) Nightmares Threats of injury and murder
Let me start by saying….that cliffhanger unacceptable ma’am. As always check your TWs, this one has a nice shopping list.
We got to step back into the fantastical world of Britt Stark and Clara Artesia. When we left off on A Clash of Stars, Clara had finally broken the curse that was cast upon the land by some very vindictive gods. Now she must navigate these unknown waters to discover more of the truth that has continuously been held from her. But being one of the more powerful beings in the universe holds some leverage and Clara is completely sure in herself, in what she has to do and how to get it done.
I was expecting more of Britt’s complex and mind boggling plots, but the way she had me still second guessing myself even past the 60% mark, I was still not sure who I could trust or how this would all play out. And of course, Britt did not disappoint with the plot twists, that’s right TWISTS, as in multiple. 🤯 Because it wouldn’t be a Britt Stark book if she wasn’t taking you for a wild ride in that beautiful head of hers.
Was I a taken aback that Clara stepped right into a love triangle …only momentarily. Because I knew she’d come to her senses about who Daddy really is, ALSO HE made sure to remind her who SHE BELONGS TO. 😈 But also Britt…missed opportunity, I would not have been upset for an Ev, Luke & Madok sammich 🤣 (#whychoose4lyf)
You almost had me there with Griffin at the end, I totally thought I was gonna have to come find you 🔪💀.
10/10 recommend you add both books of the Clash series to your TBR, if you haven’t read them yet.
Where do I even start? 😮💨 It is no secret that I have been obsessed with this series since A Clash of Stars, and I’m here to say A Clash of Embers has only deepened my obsession..
I don’t think anything I say will be adequate enough to justify how earth shattering this series has me.. I am unapologetically on my knees for this series!
Clara 🐻: to see her grow into herself and find her own footing along this journey has been so inspiring. Her compassion and love truly shines through and I know only more is to come from book 3, and I am so ready!
Ev: I will be the first to say I’ll forever be and Evander girly and will wear my Team Evander merch accordingly.. sorry not sorry. This book gave me the answers that I so needed about Ev. His character growth is off the charts. Can’t wait to see what his upcoming trials and tribulations will hold for us all. But bet I’ll be there for it 💯
Mads: Such a love/hate relationship that has been built in regards to my thoughts of him. But to be able to have a little more insight and role throughout this story made him more approachable and dare I say like-able? He gives me golden retriever vibes. I’m curious to see where Maddok goes moving forward in this story.
Britt, you beautiful lyrical genius, you deserve all the love and stars in the night sky!
For love of all things good: 1: go read “A clash of Stars” (book 1), if you haven’t already. 2: check the content/trigger warnings ⚠️ 3: add to you TBR and show @authorbrittstark some love. 4. enjoy this divine jewel of a read, releasing to the world on 1/9/2024
Clara broke the curse over Carandolet and has found herself in Darthium. Everything here is both familiar and different. The fight between Athiana and Theo is far from over and the lines between sides are more blurred than ever.
I really enjoyed book 1 of this series, but this one was even better! In this book we find the same cast of characters but thrown into a whole new world where a centuries old war is reaching its peak. We get several of our lingering questions from book one answered, but there is still plenty about this world that remains a mystery. Britt Stark continues to do a great job of creating tension between Clara and the many powerful men that surround her. (This is not a ‘why choose’ book but it definitely flirts with that trope a little)
I liked the progress that we saw with Clara and her true mate in this book. They definitely grow to understand each other better and are both stronger for it.
I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!
Read this book if you like: 🔥 spicy fantasy books 🔥 complex world building 🔥enemies to lovers 🔥fated mates
Thank you so much to Britt Stark for selecting me to be an ARC reader for this book! My review is voluntary and my honest opinion!
Thank you to Britt for a ARC of "A Clash Of Embers"! There are some TW for this book, please check them out before reading. Release date 9th Jan 2024
(Slight spoilers possibly?)
Book 2 takes place straight after the events of book 1 "A Clash Of Stars" Clara is continuing on her journey to unravel more of the history behind the curse from book 1, and the true forms of those around her as they had changed from the curse.
"Beasts, witches, wolves, vamprye, and humans. Together. We were united in our fight against this evil. To whatever end." This book contained more world building and character development as the story takes place after the curse.
"I am no longer going to live for anyone else but myself. I will live for me." Clara made it very clear that this vow she made to herself was not to be broken.
Britt almost had me in the beginning with the slight love triangle, but Clara came to her senses and once again found her mate "Eros. He was Eros. He was my true mate. He was the Fallen Angel."
"you are it for me. You are the only thing I truly care about in this godforsaken world and I'll be damned to the abyss if I let anyone hurt you.” He laughed softly. “I don't want to control you, Clara. I only want to love you.”
If you love fantasy romance, you do not want to miss this series.
A Clash of Embers is book two in a series and picks up right where book one ends. I loved book one so much and book two was even better 🖤
The world-building and characters in this book were amazing. There are so many new people and places after the events at the end of book one. Clara's inner monologue is probably the most I have ever related to a character in a book; sassy, and hilariously sarcastic. The character development was wonderful too. I loved to see Clara process her grief and gain her bearings in the new world as well as the very different sides of a lot of characters after the curse.
I think the love triangle in this series is probably one of my favourite parts. Britt writes tension and banter so well. Book two had me quite torn for a bit. And the spice was 🥵🥵🥵
The story was fast-paced and filled with action, battles, and twists and turns that I did not see coming.
Book two leaves readers with another cliffhanger and a lot of unanswered questions. I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
Thank you, Britt, for the ARC copy of A Clash of Embers. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Clara must feel like she’s swimming through molasses trying to figure out who is who and which way is up now that the curse has been broken. The two men that held her heart are not who they were under the curse. But maybe they are?! How?
Clara is spinning out and internally distraught as she tries to piece together what is real and who she can trust. With no one able to disclose information to her about the prophecy or her part in it, she is really having to find the internal fortitude to unravel her destiny. More answers lead to more questions!
Through everything she is bound and determined that she will no longer be a pawn, and will be making her own decisions about her life. Watching her grow through her confusion and devastation into the woman in the final pages of this book was a joy. The intrigue unfolds and the clues are breadcrumbed throughout the vivid descriptions of her surroundings, environments woven into the narration. Along with the aspects of fates mates, love triangle, hidden identities, slow burn spice and second chance romance, this action packed second book in the series leaves you literally desperate for book three. Can’t wait! 5⭐️2🌶️

This was such a great read. I fell in love with A Clash of Stars, and I knew I would love Clash of Embers too.
Clash of Embers takes place straight after the events of book 1 "A Clash of Stars". Clara is continuing her journey and learning more history and secrets behind the curse in book one. I had so many emotions while reading this book. I loved witnessing Clara’s character growth; she really became a stronger FMC. Evander's character growth was also good. I enjoyed seeing his side of things and witnessing his love for Clara. There was many twists and turns that I never expected. I am still not over the cliffy ending; I was not expecting that. I can't wait to see what is in store for Clara, Evander, and the rest of the characters in the next book. I need to know what happens next.
Thanks so much for the ARC opportunity. I enjoyed this so much.
“I bit my lip and he leaned down into my neck, pressing soft kisses in the curve of it. I felt the sharpness of his fangs trace over my skin and I moaned slightly at the thought of him pressing them harder. He hummed slightly, “is that what you want me to do? You want me to taste you?” “
A Clash of Embers. I was so happy to have been selected for an ARC - where do I even begin? I LOVE this story with the back & forth, twists & turns. It also seems like a game of secret chess is happening and I’m not quite sure who all the players are.
We follow Clara after the ending of A Clash of Stars and her breaking a curse. She learns more about the realm in which she is actually in as well as the truth about the important people in her life. She still has so much to learn and uncover.
I have been rooting for Evander since the 1st book and I was so happy to get more of him in this book.
If you like any of these I recommend you read this 🖤 Fated mates 🖤 Vampires 🖤 Morally grey love interests 🖤 Gods & goddesses 🖤 Found family
I LOVE this series so much! You won't be able to put this book down I can tell you that now. We start this book right where book 1 ended. This was a fast-paced story. We are also given some plot twists that you would have never seen coming! I am happy with the character development we were given. As well as some yummy spice added in!
The plot kept you engaged the whole time. I felt more connected to everyone in book 2 as well. This is a cliffhanger (she loves giving us these). You will fall in love with these characters all over again. I am excited for the next book!
Clara has done a lot of development throughout this series and especially this book. I loved that we got more backstory and everything on Ev and seeing his development. Leo has a lot going on, so I feel that by the next book, he will have a big development like everyone else. Overall, I loved this book and totally recommend the series to anyone into fated mates, enemies to lovers, and mythical beings!
I was given this book for free as an ARC, and this is my honest review!
No Spoiler Review!! This is book 2 in The Clash Series. We continue to follow Clara's journey as she uncovers the truth about the past. Relationships will be tested, and alliances will be formed. Will Clara's stars align, or will she fight her way through the ashes.
𝕱𝖗𝖔𝖒 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖗𝖘 𝖜𝖊 𝖋𝖊𝖑𝖑, 𝖋𝖗𝖔𝖒 𝖆𝖘𝖍𝖊𝖘 𝖜𝖊 𝖗𝖎𝖘𝖊.
AGAIN I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK. You will go through all of the emotions while reading. I love that you will never begin to guess what happens next. If you haven't read book 1 yet I encourage you to read it and follow up with this beauty. This was a great fantasy read that has all the things, vampire, werewolves, dragons, gods, and goddesses. We find out what happens with Clara's relationship from book 1 along with some plot twists.
18+ recommended for steamy scenes. Romantasy. Check TW.
