In this beauty and the beast retelling, Eleanor, known affectionately as Nellie, a true romantic at heart, has found herself enamored with a prince. When her dear friend Penelope invites her to a ball the prince will be attending, Nellie believes it is fate. What she and no else accounts for is Penelope’s heartless brother Griffin getting himself and the rest of the attendees cursed due to Griffin’s actions. With the curse slowly destroying her best friend, Nellie decides to help Griffin on his journey to find the Fae cursed him to reverse it. Because the alternative to break it would be for Griffin to fall in true love, a feat that would be entirely impossible.
I thought it was overall good and okay. It was good in the way that I liked the premise of the story. It was only okay because things moved at too much of a fast paced and there wasn't enough time to build a relationship between the two. Like I didn't have a connection with the two and I couldn't tell when they started to fall in love. So overall a good and okay read.
