It was supposed to be one night. We didn‘t even exchange names. He called me Texas and I called him in California. We drank to a night we would never remember; with someone he would never forget. Morning came and I sashayed my way out of his hotel room with an extra sway on my hips and a smile on my face. That was supposed to be where our story ended, but now he’s here in Liberty Falls, my tiny hometown. Not only is he a fire chaser, but he’s here to replace my dad as Chief of the LFFD. I don’t date firefighters. I know from firsthand experience what it’s like to be at home waiting for that dreaded phone call. This can’t be a thing. My head says no, the problem is my stupid body and heart don’t seem to agree. The man lights my fire. Jude Sutton will let the entire town go up in flames for me, but I’ll burn straight in hell before I hurt the only parent I have left. He’s a city slicker. I’m a small-town girl. We shouldn’t work, but we go together like peanut butter and jelly or macaroni and cheese.

I never thought that I would write a novel, although my English teacher my freshman year in college told me that he would hunt me down if I wasn’t published by the time I was thirty. Thirty came and went. I was busy being a wife and working mother of two and nobody came looking for me.

I doubt my sister thought she was about to change my life forever when she got me a book of “Mommy porn” for my birthday in 2012, but that’s exactly what she did. After reading the first book in the trilogy, I rushed out and got the other two books. I became obsessed and read the series several times before learning about Fanficiton. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who couldn’t get enough. The idea fascinated me and I thought, “I can do that.” I was a nervous wreck when I posted my first story, a one shot about my new favorite couple. One story lead to another and then another. My readers encouraged me to write something original, so that‘s what I did. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me. I couldn’t have done it without you.

I love reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Thank you for going on this journey with me.

Some books just affect me more than others. In the month of January, it is June. The book doesn't have to be a bestseller. The book doesn't have to be a great American novel. I have to believe that it could happen for someone. The story has to hit me emotionally and keep me thinking about it for some reason.

Jude and Bailey's story touched me. I can understand Jude fleeing California for a job in Texas. I can understand stop for just one night of fun before starting over. One and done is simple until it isn't. One night with Bailey is definitely not enough.

Jude is constantly reminded of Bailey. She is also out of his reach. Jude is the new fire chief. Bailey's dad the chief being forced into retirement. Let you imagination run wild then triplet it.

Lane Martin tosses tension around like I toss salt over my shoulder. She has created the best challenges, the funniest interruptions. She is a chemist creating hot attraction. My heart was all a twitter. The feels rolled off the pages. I couldn't wait to see how they would deal. Boy, did the deal!!!

The story won't take you long to read. The resulting emotions will brighten your days.

What a hot way to start the month of June! One night, no names, and in fact neither lived in the town where they met. What are the odds that Bailey's mystery man is Jude Sutton, the man that is coming to take her father's job? There aren't many lines that Jude is willing to cross, and Bailey should be one that he doesn't even touch, but he can't help the pull she has. Will the man from Cali fall for the small town Texas girl? Or will Cali call Jude back? This was a really good story, giving us the right amount of drama, and loads of spice! The month of June was indeed a hot one! I give this 4.5 stars.

June is part of the Fire Chasers collection. This one is a secret romance between Jude and Bailey. They thought it was a one night stand and they would go their separate ways. But to their surprise, Jude is the new guy at the fire station, preparing to take over as Chief. Bailey is conflicted between being loyal to her father, the current chief, and her attraction to Jude. I thought this was a great and steamy story. The attraction between the couple was really intense. I had fun watching them fall for each other and give into the connection that they had. The camaraderie between the firefighters was fun and had some laugh out loud moments. I definitely recommend this one.

This is a well written story with great characters. This is the first book I have read by this author, but I will be on the lookout for more of her books. This one is worth your time. For me this was a quick easy read for me that doesn't mean it wasn't good. I think you will enjoy this one I know I did. Go get this one and enjoy.

Hmmm let me start with Jude Sutton what a man. Definitely a type proud man with a gorgeous heart and not letting you in. Then little Bit crossed his path no names just where they came from one night that becomes complications as he is the man to replace her dad as Chief. I tore at my heart. Short and straightforward enjoyed it well written with some spice 👌 🌶🌶🌶
