Henry Agard Wallace was the 33rd Vice President of the United States (1941–45), the Secretary of Agriculture (1933–40), and the Secretary of Commerce (1945–46).
The title fits the content exactly and I wish I could get a copy myself for future reference and research (this was a library find). Hearing from an almost contrarian viewpoint from within the end of FDR's administration and beginning of Truman's shows a rarely portrayed side of the American stance on peace and prosperity during and immediately after WWII.
Henry Wallace was decades ahead of his time with his progressive policies. His push for “the common man” still hasn’t been reached today, but this book gave me hope for a better future.
