From Rivals to B& Bed and Boyfriend – A Steamy Tale of Enemies Turned Lovers in the Most Intimate of Settings!

At 31, I'm adrift after being axed from my family's hotel empire.

The future seems hazy, but a glimmer of hope emerges when I apply for a gig at Seaside Haven B&B in Santa Monica.

There, I met her.

Sylvie Ramirez.

A dynamo who reluctantly hires me despite my initial lackadaisical attitude.

As we toil side by side, I'm captivated by Sylvie's unwavering determination and independence.

Our connection deepens, and sparks of something more ignite between us, like an electric current in the air.

The late nights working together are filled with stolen glances and charged moments that leave my heart pounding.

However, my father views the B&B as a menace to our family's business, launching a campaign of false rumors and threats against Sylvie.

As the tension between us simmers beneath the surface, the stakes rise.

Caught between loyalty to my family and my love for Sylvie, I grapple with gut-wrenching choices that will shape my future.

Can I shield our family legacy, preserve the budding romance, and navigate the electrifying connection with the woman I adore?

In the midst of family feuds, rumors, and forbidden desires, Austin and Sylvie will face a choice that could either shatter their worlds or seal their love forever. Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of emotions in 'B& Bed and Boyfriend,' where passion burns hotter than the Santa Monica sun, and the pages turn faster than a heartbeat.

Jobless and homeless, all thanks to his father, Austin finds himself taking a job at Seaside Haven - a far cry from his father’s hotel empire. This job was meant to help him get his life back on track and figure out what he wanted to do. He just never expected that to come in the form of the determined and beautiful bed and breakfast owner, Sylvie.

This was decent, quick read. It had all of the elements of a good romance - enemies to lovers, conflict, and life altering decisions to be made.

I liked Sylvie’s determination to build up business at the B&B. Despite the challenges that existed, she had a fresh and optimistic view. And although she struggled to accept Austin in the beginning, her enthusiasm to succeed seemed to fuel up once she teamed up with him.

However, since the book was on the shorter side, I did feel that the story was a bit rushed. I would have liked if there was a slower burn between Sylvie and Austin. It also seemed that any conflicts that came up were resolved a little too quickly, which left me with little anticipation wondering if things were going to work out for the better.

Overall, I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a quick romance read.

Thank you to the author and BookSirens for this ARC, and the chance to share my honest review.

I received an advance copy of this book and I am leaving a voluntary review thank you to @booksirens.

I really enjoyed this book although it was a very short story and I can understand that because of that there is a little bit of a character development missing but it was an enjoyable read it's my first time reading back Medina and it was it was a nice it was a nice experience I will definitely check more of her catalog.

"I must say that I do have a little bit of a bone to pick with the author and this is regarding the first page and first sentences of the book, is actually the description of Austin that he's giving us of himself, for me it felt that he was cocky or not humble.
See for yourselves, I felt that the description of Austin would've been better delivered by the female character rather than himself, just saying 😜:

"The sun glints off the dark strands of my hair as it ripples in the coastal breeze, framing a chiseled jaw that’s spent its fair share of time at the gym. I stand tall, muscles straining against my shirt as I take in the teeming energy of Santa Monica, California."

This is a nice short romance, for a cozy fast read.

It's an enemies to lovers, with resolution by the end, and a beautiful and comforting B&B as the setting.

It was a little fast paced for me at some points, with some of the plot seeming to need a little more work, and some of the conflicts getting resolved a little too fast and easy for my liking, but the characters still have their appeal and some development, so it balances it out.

I received an ebook copy of this book for free through BookSirens, and this is my honest review.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book.

I really enjoyed the concept of Austin and Sylvie’s story. I did feel it was a little rushed and that the timelines were a little unclear. It was like one thing to the other with no sense of how things were panning out.
I enjoyed the characters and their development tremendously. Even Austin’s dad made strides.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

As much as I loved reading this book, it felt more like a Wattpad read.. it was too rushed no proper character development, one moment Austin's father was dadzilla and another moment a changed and accepting man. Something was really missing in this otherwise nice plot which had a nice potential.

A quick fun romantic read. Enemies to lovers, a wonderful bed and breakfast, and a couple who can overcome anything or can't they? A quick read to sit under a blanket during this holiday season.

I truly struggled to finish this book.

There were instances of complete sentences being repeated just pages apart, and overall just holes in the plot that I could barely construe to make sense. I feel like I read half a book's content, with random sections redacted and leaving me wondering what happening.

I hate leaving less than 3 stars, and sat with this for a bit contemplating my review. After revisiting some of the other books I have given 3 stars, I just couldn't feel like I was being honest if I gave this book the same rating.
