Rate this book
How did a geologist’s boat trip inspire the concept of deep time? What is the connection between Vincent Van Gogh and the advent of particle physics? What mysteries lurk within the murky depths of the Great Lakes?

You are invited to enter this volume and lose yourself in myth, the cosmos, and the paradox that is the human mind.

Really enjoyed these legitimately thought-provoking essays. Simple and unpretentious enough to be accessible while also tickling the reader into wanting to know much much more. Sent me down an online research rabbit hole.
