The book was an easy and actually enjoyable read, but not scientific or proven in-book as based on science.
It mentions in many parts that Western Science hasn't looked into these procedures, but if he has enough time, as an expert in the field, to say that they don't look at the field in a book about the subject then he also has enough time to create double blind studies that compare the results of the Ayurvedic medicine against that of Western Science. The book read to me good only as a form of health-fiction. There were analogies and comparisons and personal anecdotes, but no proof or sources for the claims.
2/3 stars. It was a fun read, but not as a science based book without sources for proofs. It did make learning about the subject fun nonetheless though, and was accessible.
This is a wonderful clear and very informative book about Ayurveda. I've already read it a few times and each time deepen my knowledge and understanding of Ayurveda. Highly recommend it.
