liking the series, but the proofreading…ugh

While I love this author and am enjoying the series, it didn’t appear the first book in the series was proofread at all. This one supposedly had 4 proofreaders, but there are still many blatant, basic errors that are hard to miss.

Oh…and being gay isn’t a “lifestyle”…it’s how someone is born. It’s part of their identity…not a fashion or behavior choice.

'She's stolen something from me I don't ever want back'

Brody has been oblivious for years, but one look, one kiss, and he now finally sees what is in front of him, has always been there waiting for him. He never saw Ro like that but now he can only see her like that and I love seeing the big, bad SEAL rattled and stuttering as he struggles to form a coherent sentence. She is everything he didn't know he wanted in his future, but it is so much sweeter because they have so much history together. Innocent childhood memories, heartbreaking memories of loss, of laughter, of tragedy and of love...his soul mate was there for all of it....he just didn't see it. This one hits very close to home for the team, but it only strengthens their team dynamic and the larger family dynamic too. No-one targets one of theirs without paying the price. I look forward to the rest of the team finding their match and falling hard and fast!

All grown up

Brody and Aurora/Ro. Known each other since kids and she is his little sister’s best friend. But now he is noticing she isn’t just a kid and his love is not that of a sibling. Ro is in a dangerous situation and Brody is determined that he and his team will solve the matter. The story has a great red herring because I was sure that I knew who the bad guy was and I was oh so wrong! The chemistry and emotions are fun and sweet in this story, especially since they cover friendships, family, and romance. The story does deal with date rape drugs, stalking and some other dark topics. The bad guy was a surprise to me and I like how it surprised the team too! This is a good series and I can’t wait for more books for the other team members.

Book 2 in the R.I.S.C. Delta Team 2 spin-off series.

I loved Brody and Aurora! Lots of sparks between these two--but he was so good to her, and so protective, obviously. He didn't think he should fall in love with his little sister's best friend, but how could you not love her brave, brash personality. She finally learned it was ok to be exactly who she was with Brody there to love and protect her.

My favorite hero and heroine thus far in the series.

This one is lucky to get 3 stars from me. Why do authors feel the need to make the FMC TDTL ? Its annoying. Ro was such a likeable character and I was hoping for their HEA but come on girl use that so called smart brain for something. Blah I lost a little of my like for her in the face of her dumb decisions regarding her safety and ffs the whole thing with her house was Annoying!!

Please, the Grammer and just use of wrong words is annoying as well. I really thought I would give this one away but thankfully it’s only a quick read.

Well what can I say about Brody? First, I love the RISC series and I know that in every series there will be some hits and some misses. Brody tends to lean towards the miss side of things. Brody King is one of the Chicago RISC operatives. He's a former SEAL and the older brother of Megan (from Christian). Megan's lifelong friend Aurora Tennison has had a crush on Brody ever since she was old enough to understand what a crush was. Brody loves Ro like he loves his sister. She's a close family friend and he would do anything for her. He never really saw her as a woman until one night when Ro has had too much to drink and he takes her home. Ro plants a kiss on Brody that leaves him questioning everything about their relationship as friends. The action begins when someone has broken into Ro's home and taken some of her personal items. Brody and his team step in to investigate what is going on and why. When an attempt on Ro's life happens, Brody knows that things have taken a serious turn. He needs to keep the woman safe who has surprisingly captured his heart. On paper this seems like a really good story, the problem is there are quite a few inaccuracies as well as a storyline that seems to be jumping around. It wasn't a bad story but in my opinion, it wasn't a great one either. Brody was told from dual POV and is a slow burn romantic suspense. I stands alone in the series.

Nail-biting climax after a suspenseful build up, I felt the tension slowly grow from the first even with some lighter moments and calmer scenes. Great chemistry between Ro and Brody, she was strong and I liked that she stepped up and said what she wanted. I liked Brody very much, he seemed like a decent friend and team mate as well as brother to Megan, loyal and steadfast, willing to take a bullet to protect, it was in his veins. Fabulous supporting characters and I loved the banter and teasing in amongst the more serious stuff. Well written with a mainly steady pace that built at certain points right along with my breathing. I love this author and the interesting stories she rights, the twists always come so I never take anything for granted. That for me is always a big bonus as I often figure things out early with many authors, it's nice to be kept surprised. Excellent

Second book in the Delta series. Anna gives us a story thar keeps us on the edge of our seat. Brody has known Aurora "Ro" most of her life. Best friends with his younger sister. They grew up together. Ro has always had a crush on her best friends brother. Bur as an adult, she realizes it more than a crush. She believes he only sees her as his sister's best friend. That is until one night when all things changed. But as they explore their new relationship, danger lurks. Brody finally realized what was right in front of him. Then, a danger from his past comes to take everything away.
Brody and his Delta teammates must put a stop to the danger and save Ro. But will they make it in time?
Anna Blakely puts so much emotion into this story. You feel as though you're right there with the team.

Aurora is a marketing graphics designer specialist. She is a smart, sexy, confident woman.

Brody and Aurora (Ro) h ve known each other for along time ( her brother Christian is Body’s best friend).
They have danced around the smoldering chemistry, that burned within the heart,
not wanting too injure their friendship, but with a slow steady build up.
Everything comes to ahead , when a stalker targets Ro and Brody’s protective instincts come out.

Can Brody and his teammates keep her safe so they can have a chance to explore their chemistry and feelings.

This book portrays a kaleidoscope of action, edge of your seat suspense, danger, twists and turns.

intense!

Wow!
From start to finish this story had it all.. Anna created an incredible story that had you on the edge of your seat! It was woven with intrigue and made you second guess what was happening at each turn of the page!
I loved Brody and Ro, each of them strong, intense and courageous. They protected each other and had each others back… I love how their love story panned out , Ro loved him since she was younger but for Brody it hit him suddenly and then he held on and didn’t let go!!
Getting to know this team is just awesome and each of them has a depth of character that you want to get to know more!
Anna thank you for your craft… I can’t wait until the next one!!

Aurora has loved him forever, Brody sees her as almost family, his little sister’s best friend but after an epic kiss everything changes and Brody is all too aware that what he feels for Ro has got nothing to do with family and he is viewing her in an entirely way. Suddenly Ro is everything Brody didn’t know he wanted or needed but just as he has finally found her is he about to lose her to an unknown enemy? Ro is being targeted and life is threatened, Brody and the rest of RISC Delta Team face the race of their life to save Ro and hunt her attacker down.
There is plenty of suspense and surprises in store, I’m not sure Brody and Ro are my favourite couple but it’s an enjoyable read that will keep you guessing.

I am obsessed with the friends-to-lovers trope, and this author does it best with her military romances! Action, suspense, laughs and tears, but most of all, unbridles heat and passion, Brody has it all! When the two main characters, ex-SEAL Brody and his sister's best friend Ro are pushed together under dangerous circumstances, the feelings that have been hiding just under the surface ignite and boy does it burn bright! Brady is all alpha male, and when he realizes his feelings, Ro becomes his muse, so you know with her life on the line he is going to risk everything for her. I cannot wait to continue learning more about each of the Delta team members, and I hope we get to hear more about Brody and Ro in future books.

As with other books in this R.I.S.C series, the words intense and suspenseful came to mind as I read Brody. Two people consider themselves friends and nothing more but are only kidding themselves. Their attraction is apparent to those around them. Brody King may try to strictly friend zone Aurora 'Ro' Tennison but his response to threat to her safety is over the top protective. Finally giving into to their feeling leads to white hot, explosive passion. Phew! Be sure to have a fan handy. Things take a dangerous turn and the R.I.S.C team springs into action to rescue one of their own. You'll be surprised when the kidnapper is revealed and they explain their motives. Again intense describes it all....passion, suspense and danger!

Such a fantastic book, fast paced, emotional and suspenseful.
This was about Ro aka Aurora who was being stalked and her best friends brother, Brody and his security team step up to protect her.
I loved gruff, protective, alpha Brody and how he was with her. Very much a slow build, with a lot of push pull, intrepid slow going initially till they declare their feelings. That was a relief moment.
Very well written, such wonderful realistic character an a suspenseful plot that has you spell bound for much of the book.

Fast paced story

- except for the soul searching part that always accompanied lead characters. This is Aurora (Ro's) and Brody's story. She's loved him forever, he's not seen her in that way. Then he does. He sees her being manhandled one night by a local billionaire and doesn't like it. Other things are thrown into the mix and it becomes a really enjoyable read.
It's well written and the characters, as always with Anna Blakely stories are interesting, I always want to read more.

Brody

The Delta Team is another close knit "family" of men the take care of and defend their own.
Brody has always thought of 'Ro as only the best friend of his little sister. 'Ro however has always had a crush on Brody and thinks it's about time he realizes she is all grown up.
When her client gets out offline and Brody steps up to fix that. Shortly after strange things start happening in 'Ro's life and again Brody steps up to appoint himself as her body guard. He promised to always keep her safe from harm, but can he actually make good on that promise?

I love starting a new series by one of my favorite authors. This one was full of mystery, suspense, and romance. I thought it was a little slow to start but a really awesome story. Aurora has had a crush on her best friend’s brother since middle school. Brody an ex-navy SEAL now working for Delta team has never really seen her until she was drugged, vandalized, and kidnapped. He has sworn to protect her because that is his job and comes to realize she is his everything. This worth the read and can’t wait for this series to continue.

Love her RISC series and any additional team or characters introduced are bound to be awesome.

I loved Brody and Ro, and especially how they came together.

Despite the reasons for her finally admitting her feelings for him, I loved how Brody was totally on board with this so quickly once he saw Ro for who she really was to him.

Suspense and drama intertwined brilliantly in the romance of the story making this a fab read

This is the second book in the series and now I'm wondering how I missed the first one! I had no trouble following and loving this book without reading the first one. So many of my favourite tropes in this book: best friend's older brother, chosen family, Protector, suspense and romance. Brody and Aurora are amazing characters, as are the rest. Ms. Blakely is a bit of a sorcerer. She is able to draw the reader in and make them feel like they are in the story. I LOVED this book.

This story grabbed me from the first page and did not let go. Sister's best friend and an operator. A threat that is well displayed, but not who you think it is, a definite 180 twist. Loved Ro's banter inside her head, totally true, all the things she thinks, it goes on inside a woman's mind for sure! Fast paced and sweet at the same time. I've been a fan since the first R.I.S.C. book and continue to consume the books of this author.

Love how Anna continues with Brody’s Story in RISC Delta. This Team is amazing. I love their bickering and banter, with the loyalty of friends/family. Anna gas done an amazing job with this book. Love Brody’s and Anna’s characters and their friendship that develops to more. Additional a lot of believes and guesses as a reader who the culprit is, and it won’t be revealed until the very last end. Well done.

Wow! Another FANTASTIC story by Anna! This story is about Aurora and Brody. To has been in love with Brody like forever but Brody wanted only friendship until things started going wrong with Ro. The villain in this story was a bit of a surprise! So happy these finally got together and also a second chance. FANTASTIC job Anna! I would highly recommend this book! Can't wait for the next book!

For most people when you think of a childhood crush you think of something you outgrow. For Ro that isn’t the case, her childhood crush has been the same well into adulthood. Brody cares for Ro as his sister’s best friend. At least that is all she ever has been until one nights kiss that she doesn’t remember. Aurora has crushed on Brody since Middle school. Brody has always seen her as Ro, his sisters best friend, but when she starts getting harassed and things come up missing he goes into protector mode and begins to see her in a different light. Anna gives us a slow burn suspenseful thriller with twists you never saw coming. An excellent addition to the RISC series.

Good Story!!

Absolutely loved Brody and Ro! Friends who fall in love. Refreshing to not have a hero who fights his feelings for Ro. He is protective, hot and loving. Great brotherhood among these team men and how much they care for their women. Looking forward to the next story.
