This is such a beautiful devotional book that accompanies the reader over approximately three months. It can be read at any time of the Church year.
The author has written a devotional that provides empathy, encouragement, truth and hope and all of this is held together by love. The author has managed to take her personal experiences and struggles and share them with everyone, to remind people about the hope that the Lord brings.
Obviously this is a Christian devotional but can be read by anyone. It provides life. When I first started reading this I wasn’t too sure and I was convinced it would be full of platitudes and easy phrases but it wasn’t. Each day the stories and reflections spoke quite deeply to me and actually gave me grace and courage as I experienced the most difficult time I have ever had at work. The difficulties are not over yet but this book gave me both guidance and comfort.
I had a review copy via Netgalley but before I finished reading I went and bought my own copy which I shall read again and again.
