Mr. M.S. Shetty is a retired General Manager of a nationalised bank. He joined Oriental Bank of Commerce (later merged with Punjab National Bank in 2020) as an officer at Fort Mumbai branch. He became General Manager in the bank in the year 2006 and retired in the year 2010.

He hails from Udupi (Karnataka) and did his B.Sc. from MGM college, Udupi, affiliated to Mysore University. He became a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) in 1974.

He is also an author of books on Indian banking. The first book was published in the year 2013. He has already written three books on banking which have been published by Atlantic Publishers & Distributors (P) Ltd., New Delhi.
