I’ve worked in an adult club since I was eighteen, hired to do all manner of filthy and depraved acts. Degraded, humiliated, hurt…

So when my next client is a beautiful, timid woman who is afraid of men and has an aversion to touch, my heart immediately reaches out to her.

Determined to help her heal, I enlist the help of my co-worker, Bailey, and together we hatch a plan to draw Willa out of her shell, to guide her through our world of sex and self-discovery.

As a trio, we explore our bodies and heal the frayed edges of our minds. Can Bailey and I cure Willa of her fear? When our feelings begin to shift, deepen, will we survive it?

This is my second smutty novella by S.B. Hazel and she really brings the heat.

A timid and traumatized woman books herself a rendezvous in a sex club in hopes to get over her hesitations. She ends up connecting with a man and woman who use their own sexual expertise to help her and the three learn that they're kind of perfect for each other.

There's an emotional thread through the novella alongside self-sucking, pegging, MFF, FF, MF, lots of tongue fucking and cum cleaning; this was an exploration indeed.

If you want erotica that goes there, you should definitely pick up S.B. Hazel's works!

OH. MY. FEELS.

Y’all. I went into this thinking “Haha another spicy kink club novella let’s goooo” and ended up SOBBING while also fanning myself. SB Hazel really said “You want smut? You get smut—but also crippling emotional healing. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Let’s talk about WILLA.
Queen of I’ve-been-through-some-shit energy.
0 self confidence

ENTER NOAH.
Sweet cinnamon roll.
Baby sub with a giant heart.
So soft I want to wrap him in bubble wrap.
I would 100% put him in my pocket and feed him snacks.

BUT THEN.
In swoops Bailey.
Confident AF.
Zero tolerance for bullshit.
Scans Willa ONCE and immediately diagnoses: “Ah yes. Poor sweet lamb has lost her power and can’t trust men. Not on my fucking watch.”

And let me tell you Bailey does not play. They basically go full BDSM therapist on her and say:

‘We are going to build you back up. We’re going to give you your power back. You will trust again.”

This isn’t just spice for spice’s sake—this is purposeful kink that’s about rebuilding trust and rediscovering yourself after trauma.

And THE BEST PART?
WE GET A POLY COUPLE.
Yes. I said it.
Willa + Noah + Bailey = my new throuple goals.

Also can we talk about how this entire series is dropping crumbs about kink club drama? Because I’m just over here like a starving pigeon collecting hints: What is going ON behind the scenes??? GIVE ME MORE.

Short novella? Hell yeah. I read it in a couple of hours.
Emotional impact? Enough to make me wanna journal.
Helped me heal a little? NO LIE. This one hit home.

Honestly? S.B. Hazel, you glorious monster—you’ve done it again. Give me all the damaged but healing characters. Give me all the consensual filth. Give me all the love.

This is an arc review but all opinions are my own.

This was different from the typical books SB has written, it was much more emotional and we got to see more character depth than usual.
The change was refreshing however this isn’t my favourite from SB. I just didn’t really mesh well with the MC’s so didn’t really care about them and some of the dialogue did make me cringe. However as usual it was written really well and the spice was great (I expected nothing less). So I don’t have anything negative to say and my criticism is all personal preference.
I’m so glad it was FFM as it’s a crime that there’s barley any out there so I loved to read that.

ARC REVIEW!!!

3.7.5⭐️

Another smutty novella from SB Hazel and honestly they write some of the best smut! I loved that we got a FFM romance because they are just not as common and I loved it! Even though this was packed with all the spice, we did get the story line of Willa who had used the app to help her overcome emotional trauma she has from her past. Noah was the absolute cutest and just wanted to do anything he could to help Willa and I felt for him when he felt powerless to comfort her! Bailey is such a strong confident woman and I loved seeing this portrayed, especially being so sex positive in herself and others.

I was a little sad we didn’t get more of the story line that wasn’t focused around the sexual activities and would have loved to see more interactions between the 3 of them outside the bedroom.

I did unfortunately cringe at one or two moments but that is a me thing! I would recommend this thought to anyone that wants a quick spicy read along with the rest of SB Hazel’s work!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

An emotional but spicy story of healing and happiness, with the best smut around.

Noah, Bailey and Willa are my new book boyfriend and girlfriends. The smut was smutting in this entire book. But there wasn’t just smut, there was an excellent story that followed Willa as she learned to trust and be loved again- which admittedly made me cry several times.

The overall story is so real and relatable and done in such a respectful manner for the topic at hand! Much praise to S.B. for writing such a powerful and equally spicy story! I was so happy for FFM representation in a smutty story. Such a rarity!

Once I finished reading, I immediately wanted to scroll back to the cover and start again. Before this Golden was my fav of the backlist, but I’m sorry Frayed is at the tippy top by leaps and bounds. I want more of their story, pretty please!

As always be mindful of the authors TWs and have tissues on hand!

S.B. Hazel writes the best erotica. It’s emotional, raw, informative and delicious. I appreciate the time she takes researching each kink and the emotion and thought behind them. I didn’t get the whole “one hand read” quote until now. She makes consent sexy and always therapeutic. This was nothing short of delicious and vulnerable. Willa is trying to reclaim her sexual confidence after a bad experience. Noah and Bailey come to her rescue with patience, empowerment and many many therapeutic orgasms. This was beautifully written. How can one be horny and a sobbing mess while reading this?! (But like also… how couldn’t you?) while this is a novella, it will totally envelope you and feel so much deeper and longer than the 117 pages. But rest assured… you will leave satisfied. Very, very satisfied.

I had the immense pleasure to ARC read and review this book. All views are my own. Thank you for the opportunity S.B.!

Frayed is a little different than the author's other works. While it was still full of spice and there were plenty of kinks, including bondage, pegging, and some super bendy pretzel skills, it was softer in its approach and it needed to be. Willa is the main female lead; she's a survivor of SA, and with that comes a fear of men. She's been struggling for years and has finally decided she wants to tackle her fear, so she enters into an agreement with Noah in order to cure her phobia. Noah is a beautiful man who has his own amount of trauma and recognises the warring emotions within Willa. It breaks his heart to see her struggling, so they invite Bailey to join them to help and assist, and as Bailey takes on a Mama Bear role, the relationship between all three of them develops, and it's beautiful to read.

The author describes some wonderfully tactile moments between all three characters, with some MF, FF, and FFM scenes throughout as they gradually introduce Willa to intimacy. It's all done with a gentleness that doesn't take away from the sensuality of it all, definitely providing a hot and steamy read. I loved the way it tackled Willa's worries about men by doing simple things like tying Noah up so he couldn't touch, leaving Willa and Bailey in control. It was all told from multiple POVs, and it really helped to empathise with the characters as we got to experience their thoughts and feelings.

One thing that I love about SB Hazel's writing is the way she creates characters who are sex workers and showcases them as real people with emotions, fears, wants, needs, desires, and ambitions. She takes the negative stereotype associated with people in that industry and squashes the negativity, and I, for one, appreciate that. She doesn't glamourise sex work, nor does she demonise it; she portrays it for what it is: people who enjoy sex and do it for that, people who enjoy the money and do it for that, and then people who feel trapped in their situation and see their work as their only option. Noah and Bailey fall into a mixture of all three categories in this book, and as you read through, you will see their transition from feeling trapped in their circumstances to changing those circumstances and enjoying what they do because they enjoy it, not because they have to.

My first super smutty SB Hazel story and I really enjoyed the quick read. It has great emotional detail as Willa overcomes her past trauma with the help of Noah and Bailey, 2 sex workers on a sex positive mission.

Full of kinks and FF, FM, and FFM scenes throughout, SB Hazel tackled difficult subject matter and portrayed a (mostly) believable story about healing, moving forward, and finding love.

A few key notes:
- great body positivity
- honest / multifaceted portrayal of sex work
- emotional connection between main characters
- explored a wide range of kinks

The one negative I have/only reason for less than 5 stars is that the story was too short. There was a lot of opportunity to deepen and strengthen this story by taking the character and relationship development beyond spice. I would love to see this story reworked / retold as a full length novel with more focus on how Willa, Bailey, and Noah’s relationship evolves beyond the bedroom.

There’s also a lot of opportunity for additional hard hitting emotional topics to be covered by the throuple - what happens to Willa’s dad? What about the evolution of their online sex work? Does Noah’s trauma get discussed and worked through? And so much more!

I have said it before and I will say it again, S.B Hazel gets stronger with every novella she writes. When I picked this up I expected a nice dirty read to enjoy by the pool on holiday, what I didn't expect was to be hiding tears behind my sunglasses and reflecting on my own insecurities. S.B really dove in to the emotional depth of each of our three main characters. Willa, our plus size FMC using the boneyard app to help her overcome her intimacy trauma. Noah our sweet worker who has been abused by the customers of the Boneyard who use his size and youthful appearance to satisfy their darkest fantasies. Finally we have Bailey our confident woman who can see the issues both Noah and Willa have and helps them overcome while facing her own emotions. Whilst the spice was excellent and, at times, heartfelt, I found myself drawn more to the characters as people desperately wishing for their HEA. I could not put this one down and felt myself reflecting for days after.

I am intrigued by the background story of the Boneyard itself and need to see it brought to a conclusion ASAP!

*I was given this book as an ARC but every opinion is my own and is not swayed*
4.5⭐️/5⭐️

I actually really loved this book. This is a novella so themes of trauma etc. are obviously more sped up. But I really enjoyed seeing Willa come out of her shell.

There were a few grammatical errors which is why I rated it a 4.5, grammar errors just take me out of a book a little.

This is definitely my favourite of S.B.Hazels. It’s a smutty novella, with a smidge of plot so if that is what you are looking for then you have come to the right place! You will not get an emotional plot based book with different themes and world building but you’ll have a damn good time all the same if smut is what you came for.

Again, Miss Hazel, with every book I read of yours I crave a full novel, please end my suffering soon.

OVERALL OPINION? If you read the blurb and you feel it is up your alley and you need a smutty novella to get to your GoodReads goal? Join the S.B.Hazel fan train, all aboard!

Willa has had a traumatic experience and thinks the best way to get over this is to just do it. So she finds Noah in an adult club and thinks he can help her. But her aversion to men and to Noah doesn't help at all so Noah gets the help of Bailey his female co worker to help Willa find her strength.
It's so beautiful to read how Noah truly wants to help Willa, how patient he is with her, the way they all interact with eachother and give what the other need. Noah has some trauma to deal with himself and along with Willa and Bailey he gets that. He gets closure, He can move on. Bailey is just freaking amazing! how she can feel what Noah and Willa need and want, how she can let them be themselves while also helping them. Awesome. Loved this story!

I found S.B. Hazel through a friend and quickly devoured their entire back catalog. Frayed is the most recent release that starts at and somewhat takes place at The Bone Yard - a sm*x club where the lines between patrons and staff can, and do, cross.

Willa, Bailey and Noah are so good together and I love how they found a way to come together and find a lasting solace in each other. Frayed is a hot read that will suck you in from page one and hold you close all the way to the end. There are some very tender moments that'll catch your feels, and the FF, FM and FFM scenes will make you purr.
Frayed is FFM and is a healing journey through trauma to find oneself and love on the other side.
I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for more from this author!

Got an arc in exchange for an honest review. This is my second book from S.B. that I've read and I need more! The smut was smutting! I love the characters, I really related to Willa. One or two times while reading this I audibly gasped because how can someone do certain "positions" that Noah did?! I wish I had alittle bit more of a backstory of the characters but overall this was such a fun read! It was emotional at times and very raw, other times I was giggling with the characters with how they all interacted with eachother. This was more vulnerable than other books I've read from S.B. but I ate this book up (literally read it in two hours).

So beautiful and spicy!

S.B. does it again! This was a beautiful and delicious story! Willa’s story was heartbreaking but seeing her push through with the help of Noah and Bailey was so beautiful. I love the no-judgement sex positive nature in this book! I loved that Noah got to find his safe space as well.

The spicy parts were top notch and the kinks in this book were chefs kiss 💋 I learned so much in this book! I loved every minute of this! It’s incredible the amount of story in such a short story that was also packed full of spice! I am not a stranger to S.B.’s books but this is up there as one of my faves for sure!

Just to put this out there.. I am more and more impressed by each S.B. story I read. Frayed was phenomenal. This story had so much love, self acceptance, healing, respect and growth.
The characters of Bailey, Willa and Noah were absolutely beautiful. The chemistry was off the charts.
Believe me, the smut was smutting. This has to be one of the hottest books I've ever read 🥵. I can read smut in public no problem, but Frayed had me blushing and covering my kindle. With the smut was also the feels. The characters love for themselves and one another was so beautiful to read. I highly recommend this book. Definitely check the content/trigger warning.

Frayed is probably the wildest of all SB Hazel’s stories, and I’ve read all of them. There is so much going on. Yes, it’s smutty. Yes, it’s a novella, but somehow S.B. Hazel manages to integrate some pretty sensitive topics in there and makes it feel like a heartier story. Don’t get me wrong, it’s smut-heavy. But there is a lot of focus on the client with fears and aversions, and the other characters help her through it. The scenes and the underlying emotional tenderness SB Hazel incorporates are on fire.

I received a copy of this book for free and am leaving this review voluntarily

Okay wow .... this was a bit different from SB's previous books and really shows her range as an author. Definitely still steamy, but emotional too. There are 3 main characters (a throuple) - Noah, Willa and Bailey. Two (Noah and Bailey) are sex workers (co-workers at a sex club) with a bit of tough lives / past. And Willa is a victim of a sexual abuse and is truly suffering - fearful of all men. This is truly a book about healing.

S.b.hazel has come onto the scene and quickly took up residence as one of my favorite authors and this new release is just adding to why they're there. Just know you're always going to read something new with S.B and this book is no different. You know back in like middle school when someone brought up someone being able to ... bend and pleasure themselves? Well this book has it and I'm not going to lie I went in blind and this was my reactions
🙂🤨😳😦🤭😏
I couldn't believe that no one has put this in a book that I have read before! Of course with all S.B books, the spice was off the charts but the story with the spice of one of the FMCs, Willa, learning to move forward with her life both in a sexual manner as well as mentally was truly beautiful to read.

I was NOT expecting to get emotional while reading this! I was in for a 154 fvck fest and i WAS HERE FOR IT! But my girl Willa tries so hard to get over her trauma.... i ended up shedding a tear along with her!

This is a perfect example of opposites attract and how different personalities can come together to complete each other.

AND IT IS HOT. Im not normally into FF but i could not put the book down 🫠

SB hits the mark on kinks every time! Though this one has a bit more of a plot to it than usual, it’s just as spicy and dirty. If you like pegging, FF, FF-M, light use of ropes, and a man who can use his mouth on himself, this is for you. A good, quick read with one of the FMC’s discovering self-healing with the help of our second FMC & MMC. Enjoyed this one!

I started this book knowing full well when I get going I wouldn’t put it down and I was right 😂

I will say I didn’t love it as much as her other books but I still enjoyed it loads and was hooked on the story. It was more that I didn’t gel as well with 1 of the characters as much as the other 2 characters who I absolutely loved. But at the same time you couldn’t have this story without all 3 of them 🖤

The book is full of trauma for 1 of the FMC and seeing her journey with the other 2 was beautiful. I want Noah as my BFF 🖤 and Bailey was just fabulous.

The story was written really well and I love that you see other characters from other books with it being apart of a world of standalones 😍

Very spicy with some kinks I have not read before and well my eyes were very much opened 😂😂

I just love this author so much and I’m so glad I found her as I love for these spicy books 🖤

Wow, wow, WOW! This book was all about healing through the power of all things sexual. I definitely read some firsts for me and loved it all. It was spicy and heart warming. Just shows when you find your people, they too can heal you. Please check trigger and tropes before reading, as this does include trauma.

Everything Hazel puts out, just drags me under and makes me feel all the things. I loved this. Willa, Noah, and Bailey are electric together and their story is just beautiful. I always try to read slow to make it last, they are never long enough and that's the only complaint. I love every single release. 5 stars!

Yes

This book from the beginning is spicy. Spice all the way through, and I mean you can tell from the cover lol.
However, so much more came from it than just the spice and experimenting to make Willa more comfortable after what happened to her in the past.
This is a quick read, but it keeps you intrigued as to what they will try or do next.

My first foray in to FFM. Two ladies and a very flexible twink. It was a quick read dare I say novella. Spice was good but the story itself was kind of boring was doing some skimming towards the end. Overall it was good. Hence the 3 rating.
