Joel Barker is a small town vet and licensed pet groomer, and he used to own his own pet supply store. He's a bit of a renaissance man like that. He's always been good with cats and dogs and things like that, but imagine his reaction when a pale little girl with a pair of suspiciously sharp fangs visits his shop with her big brother, the Grim Reaper. The pet they ask him to help? A three-headed fire-breathing dog from the line of Cerberus.
At times like these, Joel isn't sure why he ever moved to Wapa Lake, but things start to get interesting when he's left alone with the pooch. As it turns out, this beast is smarter than it looks...well, two out of three heads anyway. The second surprise came shortly after that, and this one's a the monstrous hellhound shapeshifts into three beautiful, identical women who seem oddly infatuated with him. Being a vet, he never thought he'd have a romantic relationship with a patient...
He'd better hope her bark is worse than her bite.
Three Heads Are Better is a fun romcom about a normal guy getting in over his head with a unique monster cutie who falls head over heels in love with him. If your romantic partner is as clingy as Honey (middle), as rough as Sadie (left), or even as silly as Cookie (right), run for the hills.
I really enjoyed reading this next book in the series and I would recommend giving it a read. The characters from the first two books are still here and up to their usual shenanigans while trying to help Tria fall in love. I liked how Virgil used the typical movie and romance book tropes in the storyline, but in a funny way. Gabby is crazy lol and pasta is sexy!
Weird change of direction. Fair warning. Not a monogamous relationship anymore
I'm familiar with this author and his work in the harem genre, but i was under the impression that this particular series would be based on monogamous romance, which is why i read and enjoyed the series. Im a bit confused by the existence of nurse Gabby and the change in behavior of previous characters' predilections towards how relationships should work. It's also hard to get into the romance of the story because every aspect of the characters and their reactions are forced and artificial. The author gave up on erotic romance and switched to erotic harem fantasy. Idk I'll give it 3 stars. The eroticism is very well written, but the story and these characters have no depth, and their affection for one another has no explanation and seems forced. Im 43% in, and im gonna stop reading here and maybe come back to it one day. I expected more effort that pulls at emotion and instead got masturbation material for weird kinks.
DNF 51%. This was weird. Not good weird like the first two books. Those were weird as well, but also funny and a bit cute. This was weird weird. First was the whole thing about Tria being a pet, which treaded a dangerous line to zoophilia. Then there wasn’t any chemistry between the protagonists this time. The harem aspect was disappointing. I thought this was a series about monogamous relationships. The most icky part was Gabby and her personality. I don’t see what she did for the story. She was weird, unrealistic and bland. The book was wishfulfillment, but without the charm or humor of the other ones.
This is definitely the most silly book in the series—in a great way. It’s very self-aware, and the jokes coming from that are great. I did miss some of the darker humor from the first two, but not enough to change how much I enjoyed it.
It felt like the conclusion to the series, but we’ll see if the author decides to continue it further.
I laughed so hard so many times reading this. It’s the best yet. I will also never look at pasta the same way again, so thanks for that Virgil. Hope there is a fourth one for Anya’s special someone.
Veterinarian meets three headed demon dog from Hell who can transform into women. She (they) (Honey, Cookie , Sadie) are romantically obsessive about Joel. Problem arises. How do you handle a three headed demon dog from Hell who can transform into 3 very sexy women who are crazy about you.
