“Harley, I don’t know a suave way to do this, so I’m just going to say it. I’ve fallen for you. And before you can say you have a boyfriend, I know that. And I apologize for making that messy. But Isaac doesn’t change how I feel about you.”
Harley has a plan for her life. A plan set in place by her long-time boyfriend. Lately though, Harley keeps wondering if that plan should change even though it might be scary and her boyfriend might not be too happy about it. Spencer has always had an easy time getting dates. He’s the classic “ladies man” and has never thought too much about the future. He usually aims his sights on the here and now, but his friend, Harley, is starting to get him think that maybe he might want more. And by more, he means more than friendship with Harley. The problem is Harley is not so sure he is worth taking a chance on. Spencer is just going to have to prove her wrong.
❤️Friends to lovers
❤️3rd person POV
❤️College romance
I felt like Spencer and Harley were two sides to a coin. Harley was super focused on school and not willing to defer from her life plan. A life plan that her working, boyfriend has put in place. Sidenote: Harley’s boyfriend was just horrible. I did not understand what she saw him. Sure, he was steady and successful, but all he cared about was work. Anyways…moving on. I was so happy when Harley finally started questioning whether or not she wanted to follow through with this life plan. As much as I wanted to scream at Harley to “open your eyes!”, I understood the fear that she felt. Spencer, on the other hand, was all about having fun and living in the moment. He did well in school too, but he never though too far into the future. And even though him and Harley had been friends for a while, he never really looked at her as anything more until they started spending more time together. I admired him for finally realizing that she was worth planning a future with. Cute read! I just wish it was a little longer. I wanted more of Harley and Spencer.
