Hi, I'm Haley Tyler, a dark romance author from Texas!

I’m the one behind the gritty Salvatore Brotherhood MC series and the dark paranormal romance Calling on the Reaper. My stories are filled with characters you love to hate and plots that twist and turn when you least expect it.

I’ve been telling stories my whole life, but I officially became a published author in 2021 with my debut novel, Killing Calm (book 1 in the SBMC series!). Since then, I’ve been living and breathing my dark, twisted worlds.

When I’m not writing, you can catch me listening to Taylor Swift or heavy metal (because there’s no in-between), binge-watching the latest TV series, or diving into a good romance novel.

If you’re looking for your next dark romance obsession, you’ve found it. Welcome to my world!

Opening up four years prior, we meet Eve who is attending the funeral of her mother, Jane. As the years tick by, Eve feels stifled by the traditional and antiquated roles the women of Divinity Falls are still forced into.

With dreams bigger than her small town, she forges her own path becoming more confident as she discovers who she is outside of the church and her duties.

I feel like I have to keep this one super vague. You really, really want to go into this one blind if at all possible. What should you know before starting? It’s vile. It’s twisted. It’s unexpected. It’s also heartbreakingly beautiful.

ARC Review for Sin With Me by Bex Dawn and Haley Tyler

If you're hoping for a "safe" romance with no OW/OM or OP drama.. This is NOT it.

This was my first book by either authors and needless to say I will be VERY cautious about returning. I am a safe reader and completely dislike all OW drama in my romance, regardless of whether or not the main couple is together at the time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The no blurb (at the time I applied for the ARC) in the Goodreads should’ve been my first 🚩. Serves me right.

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ MILD SPOILERS ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

Separation: 4 Years
Celibate During Separation: Him - Fuck NO
Her - starts a relationship with his dad

This book is about a FMC (Eve) and MMC (Roman) who are step siblings. They have a “relationship” when they are young but *something* (I won’t spoil it) happens and Roman has to leave. Roman and Eve have a great relationship building to their eventual romantic entanglement in their youth (before separation). I actually found this part to be very cute.

When Roman leaves he leaves a note for Eve to find on her pillow asking her to meet him. She doesn’t. (You can guess why- SHE NEVER GOT THE NOTE. **Someone** TOOK IT). Miscommunication trope. Roman leaves Eve and Issac for 4 years.

During this time Of Course ROMAN is with everything that moves. His words not mine:

And though I’ve fucked tons of faceless, nameless women since her, I haven’t dated a single one.

And Eve becomes a cam girl. She seeks freedom and liberation through her “hobby”. Here’s my problem with it… In the 4 years apart, Eve keeps Roman’s room tidy waiting for him to come back (almost like a shrine) because she doesn’t know why he left and he is away screwing “faceless women”. Because authors are allergic to making MMC celibate. Even though they are supposedly “obsessed” over their FMC. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Issac is grooming Eve and it’s pretty clear. Issac **may have been a threat** previous wives- much to Roman's knowledge. Issac was abusive towards Roman. Roman knew this and even then when he had to leave, he didn’t even question why Eve would “choose to stay with Issac” over coming away with him. Provided Eve at the time didn’t know Issac was abusive, you’d think Roman would question her safety. If not as a child of Issac (as he was abused) but as a potential romantic partner for him (because it ended well for his previous partners). Plot convenience I tell you.

Then in the present Roman comes back and he is constantly tormenting and blackmailing her. In fact he quite brutally rejected Eve and Eve is an effing DOORMAT for him. She literally is. To make her jealous, his friend talks him into throwing a party and she catches him with OW talking pretty close.

He was serious about fucking someone tonight?
He always dated the prettiest, most model-worthy girls when he was in school. And why wouldn’t he when he looks like that? But it’s been years, and his type hasn’t changed. If anything, as he’s gotten hotter, so have the women he fucks.

I skimmed this part but basically she and some blonde chick/Nikki get it on to make Roman watch. Yes there is a FF scene with the OW. 🤦🏻‍♀️ (nothing wrong with some FF action… I just dislike it the way this particular one was done) In order to make the FMC so sexually liberated, the authors forgot to give her her backbone. Because guess what? Eve here is still a Doormat. You wanna guess why she chooses to have a FF scene? Because she wanted to do it FOR HIM.

He wants this.
I can give this to him.
(...)
She gently guides me toward the bed, and I hesitate before climbing onto it, the coils barely creaking under our weight. Her kisses are soft on my skin as I fall onto my back, twisting so she’s above me. The hardened peaks of her breasts glide over me, sending electricity zapping through my body. My legs widen, and she settles herself between them. Reaching up, I tangle my fingers in her soft hair and tug her mouth to mine, moaning as she grinds her hips against my aching core. My gaze slides to Roman, and I find him fumbling with his belt, his eyes on us—on me? Her? A small whimper leaves me as I watch him slide his hand into his boxers, and Nikki pulls away enough to look at him.

*Shudder* Oh and this all happens AFTER he makes this declaration:

I may hate this town and all it stands for, but I’ll be fucked if I leave her again after this.

Gotta love me a committed man. The FMC knows that the MMC doesn’t respect her, as she says this before everything:

After yesterday, he made it clear what he thinks of me and it’s not good. He doesn’t respect me. Hell, I don’t think he even likes me. But he won’t leave and I don’t know why.

Roman wasn’t even waiting around for Eve even when they were little. He was dating away. Eve has literally been with Roman and Issac (penetratively speaking). Roman is a literal pig. And he treats her like Shit for his own issues. Eve has lost everyone. And Roman knows Issac is a threat to her yet he keeps pushing her and insulting her for “choosing Issac”. The best part about this book is when Roman comes back, he has to listen to Eve and Issac have smex. Divine Justice. At a point Roman thought Issac was hurting her like beating her like he did him, then later he thought Issac was r-ing her. But then he heard Eve moan. Like Roman knew his two top fears were real and YET he never even questioned leaving in the first place? 4 years ago? And the throwing of the party to make her jealous? This hero didn't give me ain’t JP/OTT/Alpha vibes.

What I liked about this book:

✅ How in-depth each character has been developed. Issac has some deep deep issues and we get chances to explore them through his POV.

✅ Roman (despite my grievances with him) was pretty consistently written throughout the book. He was a stubborn man who wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in the face.

✅ I liked reading Eve's cam girl sessions. I actually liked how realistic some of them were written in terms of comments left on these girls' pages.

What I wished about this book:

🌸 I wish the younger Roman and Eve had a more fleshed out story-line. It felt a bit like drifting from one spot to another at times.
🌸 Ok but why is the past Roman a man-wh*re and the present one too? Like why isn't he celibate? Real question?
🌸 I get why Eve wasn't shown to be with others, but if she found time to be a cam girl (pretty successful one at that), why not find time to sleep around too??? I am sorry but Eve's character literally revolved around begging for scraps of love from Roman (waiting for him after he left), then Issac's approval, the again Roman's approval when he's back (she somehow finds herself in situations where Roman pretty consistently rejects her)...
🌸Eve's character should've had more of a backbone, especially in making Roman grovel for treating her like shit. Why is Eve's big moment in terms of Nikki (being sexual with her) the chick Roman was with to make Eve jealous?

Why 3✨ you ask?
Well, it is obvious to me, I am not the target for this book. And hence, I don't want to bring it down by ranking it low. I will leave an average rating as I cannot bring myself to rate it higher, as mentioned before... I am a safety reader. Every book I read is read through these glasses. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This review only has my opinions and I am sharing them in my review/my space. Pls keep all the negative comments to yourself if you cannot be nice. Thank you.

Five Fantastic and Fucked up Stars.

Sin With ME is a cross between crazy train meets; bless me, Father, for I have sinned and will do it again. It has everything—dark, taboo, Hot AF, betrayal, tragedy, raw emotions, and much more.

Sin With Me is not for everyone, And that is okay. Luckily, it's for me.

Not everything seems for our trio: Roman, Isacc, and Eve. Darkness lurks, and it's a crazy, wild, and intense journey.

Roman is my latest obsession. I would Sin with him any day. Let me tell you, there is a whole lot of sin going on throughout the book. Shoutout to Eve’s character growth. I’m in total awe of her.

Some of the side charters cracked me up. Oli with her Marsupial Robert, I hope she gets her book. Let's not forget Kon and Chase. I feel these two would be explosive.

Sin With Me in my dark scale is Dark grey and, at times, teeters on black. Darkness is subjective to the reader, and I never read trigger warnings. Say you want the warnings; I suggest you read them.

If you’re a dark, taboo reader based on religion, I highly recommend Sin With Me.

ARC REVIEW

when i got this arc i honestly didn’t know what to expect, but it was dark and taboo so i was down for the ride. AND WHAT A RIDE IT WAS.

now normally i am a pretty safe reader and this book was not safe at all, but i still loved it.

⚠️the authors have the TW linked on their website because some of it can be spoilers so if you don’t want to know stop reading⚠️

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

there was an on page sex scene with ow, on page rape(by the mmc), child abuse (in the past but described), non con, misunderstandings, grooming, violence, death of a loved one/parent.

a lot of really heavy things, so please know your triggers and take them into account when reading this book.

i’m honestly not sure how to explain things without giving the whole book away but my heart BROKE for these characters, but the way they came together was beautiful. it does end with a HFN but i need an extended epilogue or SOMETHING because i need more 😭😭😭😭

i really hope that chase, olivia, and kon get their own books because they were just everything side characters needed to be and more. chase was a absolutely hilarious, but the way he protects his sister is amazing. i don’t know what happened to olivia to make her the way she is but i can’t wait for her book.

thank you to bed dawn and haley tyler for the arc of this…i loved it so much i’m buying the paperback when it comes out 🫢

Disclaimer: I received a review copy for free by via the authors' Instagram, and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts. Many thanks to both authors for the opportunity!

First off, right off the bat, absolutely be sure to check the trigger warnings found at https://www.divinityfalls.com/trigger... because there are definitely major ones that happen on-screen including (MAJOR MAJOR spoiler) . Second, major spoilers about whether this is ends up a poly or if it's a love triangle and whether or not there are poly scenes for those who want to know up-front:

I knew what I was signing up for when I requested this ARC, which was a fun, spicy extremely taboo read! I was sold by the concept and wasn't sure where things would go when the authors did warn that "nothing is as it seems" AND BOY BOY BOY. 😂 This journey was definitely a long one, and there was honestly a point where I reached the 17-20% mark and was like, "Wait, I've been reading for over an hour. How did I make a dent yet?" And that's when I realized that the book was 1,000 pages. So sit tight for a much longer than usual review. 🤣

It starts off a bit slow, but after a while it does become a faster read and things really get moving. There are some hiccups here and there, but I feel that's kind of expected when you're reading a book this long. When you think the story's going to go one direction, the authors throw in another wrench and I feel like that really helps me as a reader to be in Eve's shoes.

Because honestly? The whole time I was just like, "Eve deserves better." She truly did. I hated both guys for so long even if I was also enjoying the antagonistic dynamic. 🤣 I was so frustrated by both Isaac and Roman SO many times, and of course the angry sex and banter definitely added to the spice, but there were times where Isaac/Roman would abruptly do something and not communciate and Eve would also just blame herself for things that it just became so frustrating. To which I think the authors actually dealt with this in a great way and addresses Eve's reaction to things really well too.

They also did a good job with building up the larger picture with Isaac/Roman/Eve while sprinkling in some more lighthearted moments with the side characters. Sometimes the subplot with the characters felt a little bit too out there, but it's quirky and is a nice break between the other drama. It also probably does help bring context to what would assumably be the next book with the next couple.

The spice that we do get is good especially if you're into degradation, and over time as we follow Eve, we start to really see the full picture of how things are at Divinity Falls and also why Roman left, why there's a distant relationship between Roman and Isaac in the first place, and the things that are affecting Eve! Which get reaaaally interesting.

My complaints about this book definitely align with the pacing of the book, I think, and the abruptness in behavior from both guys. There are intentional moments that make you pissed off on behalf of Eve which work really well. Major spoilers for second half:

Halfway through the book is when I really started to get frustrated by everything happening, so I was appreciative that the authors alleviate some of that by the time we get to the 65%-70% mark and I was starting to see where this would go. But then I got frustrated again at the 80% mark because I get that Eve has so much internalized trauma, but it baffled me because (major spoiler)

The occasional lack of deeper communication between characters also frustrated me because while the relationship buildup was dependent on past dynamics and their understanding of one another, it felt like things were often unsaid and stayed physical for the longest time, even at the parts where declarations of love were being exchanged. For there to be a major talk/clearing of misunderstandings by characters at the 90% mark just felt a bit jarring.

That's why this is a 3 star from me. But the spice was definitely good (except for the parts where (major spoiler)). And overall, while I firmly believe this didn't have to be 1,000 pages, I do mostly appreciate the journey for Eve except the times where she made some absolutely insane and questionable choices (*ahem* ESPECIALLY THE VERY SPECIFIC TWO TIMES SHE DECIDES TO DO SOMETHING BY HERSELF WHEN SHE CLEARLY SHOULDN'T HAVE).

There is a good HEA despite the bumps in pacing, and the authors definitely succeeded in what they sought out to do with this book, especially with the context of the end author note. If you're in the mood for a really long taboo read with lots of twists and turns that will also make you feel the frustration and pain of the main characters, as well as a really difficult dynamic to navigate through, this could be fun for you. But definitely be prepared for the roller coaster ride of emotions. 😂

Aso final note, if Chase and Kon get a book, I'd definitely eat that up. He was definitely one of my favorite side characters. It'd most likely be a different vibe than this, but I feel like it'd still be great and there's potential to explore there.

I honestly don’t even know how to start this review. Sin With Me is one of my most anticipated reads for this year and it absolutely blew my expectations away. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing and phenomenal this book truly is. It’s an absolute masterpiece!!

Sin With Me is so well and beautifully written! Bex and Haley did an amazing job!

I honestly don’t want to go into too much detail in my review, because I don’t want to spoil it. All the characters were so well written. There are three main characters Eve, Roman, and Issac. Eve is so sweet and I loved seeing her character development. Issac is Eve’s preacher stepfather and he has such a filthy mouth😮‍💨 Roman is Eve’s step brother and I would sin with him any day🫠🤭

I loved all the side characters, Kon , Chase, and especially Oil. I just loved Oil’s personality.

There were so many secrets and twists & turns I totally didn’t see coming. Bex and Haley really meant “nothing is as it seems.”

This story is super spicy 😏, sinful, heartbreaking, taboo, empowering, and sweet! It’s definitely an emotional rollercoaster! I just loved it so much! Such a phenomenal read!

If you love dark and taboo books, I highly recommend Sin With Me! This book releases on October 31st. This book is dark so make sure you check tws. If you don’t have tws, I highly suggest you go in blind. I can’t wait to see what both of these amazing authors will release in the future!

*thank you Bex and Haley for this arc 🖤

4🌟 3🌶️

Omg, I finally finished it!! This book is nearly 1000 pages, and let me tell you.. it was a long and hard fought journey for these characters, and for myself.

It took me a little over a week to finish this, which is saying something, because I usually finish a book within 2-3 days depending on life and whatnot. But I just wanted to savor this, because I was so drawn in and mesmerized by everything that was happening. I just didn’t want it to be over too soon.

This is a dark romance, with dark topics that some may not be able to handle. So I advise looking into it before diving in. I went into this blind, as I do with all of my books, and what I found was eye opening. I was not disappointed at all. This was heartbreaking and emotional at times, but also so sexy, seductive, and heartwarming too. I’m so impressed by this whole storyline, and all the little details and the different events that happened throughout. At times during this book, you’ll be confused and start questioning everything you just read. You’ll get certain vibes that just rub you the wrong way, but in the end, it’ll all make sense and you’ll be completely satisfied. 🤫

But also, the spice… was definitely spicin’ in this 🥵🫠

I can’t say much about the characters and story, because it should just be experienced without knowing anything first. But I truly loved the characters in this. Each one, minus “he who shall not be named”, were so diverse and they all intrigued me. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for them all!

The only reason this isn’t a five star, is because I did think that it was too long. I actually think this is the longest book I’ve ever read. 😳 I just don’t think it should’ve been close to 1000 pages. Idk, that might just be a me thing. But, yeah.

I do 1000% recommend this to anyone who loves taboo and dark romances, with twists and turns that will send you in a tailspin! 🖤

WTF, 998 PAGES! This book should have been more like 400 pages or less.

Sin With Me really should've been a DNF. I started skimming the inner monologues in the first section. Because they were boring and repetitive.
This book was way too long. Filled with:
- Too many irrelevant moments.
- Overlly descriptive unneeded information.
- The neverending rambling inner monologues from all characters
- The whole Kon & Chase thing and whatever is going on with Oli was on repeat. Mention their story a few times, then give them their own book. It was like beating a dead horse and got old fast.
- Kevin, Marcus, and Nikki shouldn't have been in the book. They were unnecessary and only seemed to be word filler and shock value.
- Way too much push and pull

The pet store scene with Olive was hysterical. She is a complete wack job. She and Chase were definitely the comic relief.

I called Marcus being Daddy555 when Eve mentioned his voice being familiar. But that whole scene with him and Roman just seemed to be trying too hard to be ott. In the end, I was, yeah, whatever.

Just curious, but how was Roman supposed to know what eight-seventeen-and eighteen meant. Because I was confused as hell. And how does that symbolize a date? She should have done 8-17-2018. Or maybe had the numbers actually written instead of them written out into the word.

Eve was a moron. Why would you go back to the house of your abuser by yourself? Not once but twice. Well, I guess if you're a complete moron you would.

Speechless

I am an emotional mess after reading this, speechless. It started with a loss, forbidden lust but then it literally squeezed my heart as things started to unravel. It was unexpected, it was so well written the story really sucks you in it's depths. I left a tiny piece of my soul in this book amongst the destruction. But even then Roman was there to pull me out.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Sin With Me is the first co-write by two of my favourite authors, Bex Dawn and Haley Tyler. It’s a dark, contemporary romance that is heavy on triggers, so please read those before diving into the world of Divinity Falls.

Like many of you, I had been impatiently waiting for this baby to hit my kindle, so when it did, I started it instantly and didn’t stop until I finished it. What a wild ride it was! So many things happened throughout the book that made me feel a range of emotions at times, but at others I was left unsure how to feel. Spice, heartbreak, twists and turns—you name it, this book had it.

Can we talk about Ro for a second because that man had me swooning for the entire book. I genuinely freaking loved everything about him, from his looks to his personality, his morals, and his undying love for Eve. If I could bring him to life and have him for myself, I totally would. He is hands-down one of my favourite book boyfriends now!

As for Eve, to be completely honest, I found myself a little irritated by some of her decisions and actions. I guess I had to give her some leeway because she was so naive and had been sheltered all of her life, but at times, I was actually screaming, Oh my god, come on! Make better choices girl! That being said, she redeemed herself in my eyes in the end, so I’ll take it.

Isaac, on the other hand, absolutely not. You know how you are introduced to a new character in a book and you just know you’re going to hate them; that was Isaac for me. That man made my blood boil to the point where I couldn’t read about him anymore. I don't need to say anything else about him. IYKYK.

If you’re looking for a dark, insanely wild read, then I highly recommend this book to you! Nothing is as it seems in Divinity Falls.

Holy shit what a wild ride reading this was! 4.5 ⭐️s!!
It was heartbreaking, empowering, spicy, sinful and sweet all at the same time. ROMAN PAYNE is my new favorite book boyfriend and it’s gonna be hard to top him. Please check the triggers warnings before diving in this book deals with a lot of heavy subjects and is very taboo but if you enjoy sexy, possessive, alpha holes, tattooed mmc, secrets and angst and a found family get your hands on Sin With Me Oct. 31st! It’s a must read! Never did I think I could love side characters as much as I do the ones in this book, almost everything that came from Chase or Oli had me cackling and I really adored their brother/sister relationship.
I wasn’t ready for this to be over Bex and Haley I need more 😭

Thank you to the authors and publisher for sending me this ARC!🫶🏽

✨✨ARC Review✨

I was so excited to have been picked to be on the ARC team for Sin with Me. It promised all the dark and taboo and it delivered!!

“𝐼 𝑏𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢,” 𝐼 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑟, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑧𝑒𝑠. “𝑊𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑟𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑚𝑒?”

“𝐸𝑣𝑒 𝑚𝑎𝑦 𝑏𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑢𝑛𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝐼 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑟𝑜𝑤 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑚𝑎𝑦𝑏𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑚𝑦 𝑑𝑎𝑟𝑘𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑡𝑜 𝑒𝑥𝑖𝑠𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠”

I devoured this book in two days straight it was so freaking good! My heart absolutely broke for Roman and everything he had to go through. He fought so hard and went through so much to have some sunshine in his life. Roman is a tortured soul who you will fall completely in love with.

Eve, not gonna lie, kinda annoyed me with some of her choices and actions. She was so naïve and sheltered her entire life that it made it easier for her to be manipulated so you had to cut her some slack but at the end I was seriously yelling “Oh come on!!!! You have to be smarter than this!”

I seriously hope we get a book about Chase and Kon because those two I absolutely loved!! I need their back story!

This is my first book by @bexdawnwrites and @haleytylerwriter and it definitely won’t be my last. It was such a well written story with characters full of trauma but so full of love for each other. Hands down would definitely recommend reading but be sure to check all the TWs they have posted.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book and to say I couldn’t not put it down was an understatement! Over 700 pages finished in two days!
This book will take you on a journey I went in with no idea what this book was about and once I started I loved every minute of it.
The love between Eve and Roman is honestly to die for, so much love and passion with a good amount of spice! Definitely check the trigger warning for this one! Another amazing book by two great authors!

😫 ALL THE ANGST

"I feel like I’m floating between realities. Right and wrong. Heaven and Hell. Paradise and damnation."

THIS BOOK ‼️ This book yall, completely destroyed me. In good ways and in bad ways.

If you can I would definitely suggest going into this book completely blind. With that being said, there are some very triggering things that happen in this story. The full list of all triggers is on the author's website, because some of the triggers are spoilers to the story. You'r mental health is important.

I knew from about 9% in this book was going to have me in a chokehold.

At about 25% I think I had already experienced every emotion. And it's just intense emotion after intense emotion throughout the whole book. You get like 5 seconds of complete bliss.

This was so beautifully written.
There is so many real, raw, and relatable emotions in this story. As well as Taboo, and 😳 (what) and hilarious moments.

The southern churchgirl in me was so conflicted at parts of this story.

It was also insanely hot 🥵 and there is a spicy scene from MMC's POV.
Roman MFing Payne is my newest obsession. 🧎‍♀️and I do not say that lightly
🌶 “If you’re so worried about my damnation, why don’t you get on your knees and pray for me, little sister?”

Let's talk about the side characters.
I absolutely love them all!
Oli and her pet possum. She is such a great friend, and I'm really interested in her and her brother Chase's backstory.
Chase & Kon are such amazing friends to Roman. Also I need more of their content ASAP 👀 I'm trying to see something

"Peace isn’t found, it’s accepted. Peace exists all around us, all the time. But you have to close your eyes and let it in. Sometimes, it’s the quiet moments that speak the loudest. Sometimes, it’s the quiet moments that make you feel the most alive."

ARC Review
“This book is incredible. I am absolutely impressed by this story. It’s undoubtedly become my number one read of the year. I went through so many emotions reading this story. I am genuinely astonished— a true masterpiece. Every aspect of this story feels remarkably lifelike. Bex & Haley brought this story alive profoundly, the characters came alive vibrantly. You gifted these characters a voice that portrayed real emotions and trauma that were described in such vivid detail I felt everything alongside them. I still feel them here with me. The way this story is written is impressively skillful. The plot is incredible, and the and the spicy scenes are spicy (insert 5 chili peppers here!)

During the beginning of the story I was rooting for Issac. I, too, was under his “spell.” I was here for the step-father kink.... But “not everything is as it seems,” is very accurate... I started to realize where the story was heading and I hurt for Eve... and for Roman. Chapter Jane 4:71 confirmed my theories, but it’s always good when the truth is revealed. Even if it hurts first.

The last page of Jane 4:71 was a neat surprise. So creative and makes the story feel even more alive. I’m just in love with the whole thing.

I’m proud of these characters, they’ve come a long way and I’m so happy with the ending. I don’t think I’ll ever forget about this story.

Also, I want to mention that as a Christian who reads dark/taboo romance (without judgment) this story is so beautiful. Dark, and depraved in all the right (or wrong?) ways... but it takes true talent to put something like this together. It’s unfortunate that some in the world suffer abuse at the hands of religious leaders and God fearing men, yet abuse the authority they hold in their vocations. If this has ever happened to you, I apologize on their behalf. The world can be so unkind, and if anything this story will teach resilience, how to overcome adversity, and how to live well. I really can’t express how much I admire this book.

We all need someone like Roman Payne and I’m so glad Roman and Eve have each other.

Thank you Bex & Haley for sharing this story with us!
Make sure to add this to your TBR for the books release 10.31”

When I signed up for this ARC I honestly had no big expecations, it just sounded right up my alley with the age gap and step-brother/step-dad trope. I was a little bit shocked when I received it and saw how massive this story is!
BUT -
It was so worth it! Over the pages I fell in love with the characters and side-characters and my dislike of one person in particular grew more and more as the story continued.
The story that follows Eve, who lost quite a lot of people she loved early in her life but keeps getting back on her feet, tickles out a variety of emotions. It's dark, there are some triggers which you should check beforehand, but it was so good! And Roman is definitely someone to add to the book boyfiend collection...
Plotwise, it didn't surprise me that much because I had a feeling early on about what's going on. But still, how it all played out was great!
I can't say much without spoilering anything, but what I can say is that I loved the way the characters developed over time and that it was such a great (and spicy) read! It had ups and downs and made me feel all kinds of things and I hope we will get more from Divinty Falls in the future!

This book is tough for my heart and mind, it was so difficult to go through with the emotions the book was referring to. Some serious issues are addressed in the book and the story is quite detailed with lots of information and scenarios.

The book is written well and is too long but by the end, I think the length is justified with being a standalone. Just read the triggers before you start reading it. At times it was sad and emotionally draining. And at times it was so lovable.

There is so much confusion in Eve’s mind and that supports the story perfectly. I really liked her simple and practical character who goes through hell throughout the story. At times I yelled at her for being so lost but at the same time, I could understand.

Roman was my favourite irrespective of not being there on many occasions when needed. He should have been there and protected her but that’s life and is shown accurately in the story. Sometimes monsters are hidden in plain sight. My heart is heavy right now.

“It’s not his story written on these pages, it’s ours”

How much do you really know a person? Deep down into their soul? Do you know what makes them tick? What secrets they’re hiding? The depravity beneath? Or the face they show to the entire world - until it inevitably all unravels.

‘Sin with Me’ had me guessing the entire time. How a family that firstly appears so perfect, could be holding so many dark secrets underneath. Going in I was, like Eve, pulled into Issacs web, until the cracks started appearing. Eve, who unknowingly has been sheltered her whole life, knows no different than her life inside Divinity Falls. And Roman hasn’t been back in 4 years. But Eve has secrets of her own that she’s keeping from everyone. And if you think that’s the peak of the story - just you wait. I was left GASPING throughout the entire book and all I’m gonna say is, part four… holy hell.

“No one’s actually okay, are they? Not really. Deep down, everyone’s a bit fucked up.”

If you have no triggers, go into this one blind. It’s an insane ride and truely, nothing is as it seems. Just when you think you know where the story is going.. PLOT TWIST!

- Taboo
- Stepbro/Stepdad/Stepsister
- Dark themes
- Small Town Setting
- Secrets Revealed
- Found Family

Ps. I wish I had an Oli in my life - she may be one of my favourite characters EVER. Oh and her brood of animals. But Roman Payne, that man has my soul.

Just wow! This book is not what it seems at all. It’s so much more. Jane is a badass and overcame so much. So worth the emotional turmoil that you endure throughout.

ARC Review:

It was an amazing story! I honestly didn’t expect it to go the way it ended but I was beyond happy that Eve & Ro ended up together in the end! I was on the edge of my seat through the entire book trying to figure out how it would go; would she end up with Issac?, would they all get together?, would she end up with Ro? I honestly had no idea until Eiffel Tower scene over the coffee table. After that it became clear that Issac wasn’t the loving preacher stepfather he made everyone, including Eve, believe. 10/10 would definitely read again!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Sin with Me; I legitimately had little to no idea of what to expect. The authors said it was dark, spicy, and sacrilegous. I've read a lot of books from that niche so I figured I knew where we were going from there. What I didn't expect was how much I would LOVE the execution of Sin with Me. It's a dark retelling of Adam and Eve (or so the authors say) where our FMC fell in love with our MMC when they were 16 and 18, but he left town to escape his abusive father (her stepfather). Fast forward four years, Isaac, her stepfather, is all Eve has left and he has taken the opportunity to isolate and housewife her at every opportunity until one day, they cross the line into a sexual relationship; when Roman, our MMC, discovers this, he returns in a desperate attempt to destroy his father and save (destroy?) the love of his life. From the beginning, you get the sense that not all is right in this world and that Isaac is abusing and gaslighting Eve...but Eve is an unreliable narrator and so you are just left unsettled from the beginning. But as Eve grows and her story unfold, her experience of Isaac and her love for Roman become ever more clear, unveiling just who the monster really (actually) is with startling and heartbreaking clarity. It's beautifully done and truly unnerving; I found myself horrified and entranced throughout the book. Sin with Me is DARK, y'all, definitely pay attention to the trigger warnings as there is a detailed rape depiction that is bloodcurdling and stark and, for those of us with childhood religious trauma, so many scenes of religion being weaponized against others in emotionally, physically, and sexually abusive ways. An excellent but difficult read that is beautifully executed.

Meh
This should have been a much shorter book & I didn’t like any of the main characters. Another review said this was like a trashy TV show you can’t help but hate watch & that is the perfect way to describe how I felt reading this book with inconsistent characters & OTT plot that I felt went too far
