This is a fun wild rollercoaster ride filled with loads of magic, sizzling adventure, sexy shifters and fae, and once again I cannot put it down! I just love Jas & her adventures and this latest one is just as addictive as the rest and had me laughing out loud in several places. A great read and a fab addition to this series! Waiting patiently for the next book!

Lucia Ashta has a gift for magical creativity in her ideas that shows you a whole new world that Aladdin couldn't even imagine.
I find that my disappointment rears its ugly head when it comes to the story having too many elements introduced that often take forever to find cohesion so I have to deal with a very slow progression and some frustrating repetition. So much has happened, in fact, that I can barely remember if Selena from the first book is okay and I had quite forgotten about her. I enjoy immersing myself in a story with consistent action and adventure as much as the next person but I hate being in it and feeling utterly bewildered. And then, sadly a bit like I wish it would get to the point now. Alas, the point was a cliff.
Also, I adore Jas. I like her so much more than the lion shifter chicky who was imminently forgettable to me. But I will say that Jas takes the snark and occasionally steps (leaps hugely) over the fine line into obnoxious and then I feel an overwhelming need to tell her to pull herself toward herself. I keep reminding myself that she's young. But still...

All in all, there are some interesting and colorful highlights and for the most part it's a nice story which really just needed to be told in a more... condensed way.

I voluntarily review an ARC.
This is the sixth book of the Magical Creatures Academy, the books should be read in order.
I love Jas and that she always tells her mind. So I suffered with her under the anti-bad-words-curse. I always enjoy the different magical beings, I learned to love especially Why, Val and Pan-Yoda.
As always the colourful world's created by this author are astounding. But in comparison to her other books this one is a bit slow. It's far away from being boring, but it felt like Jas didn't make any progress for a long time.
So I'm now looking forward to read the final part of the series.

⚖️⚖️ONE DELIGHTFUL WILD RIDE⚖️⚖️
Off the chain! Lucia delivers another phenomenal piece of thrilling perfection, spinning one fun-filled, heart pounding, pulse racing, block buster, keeping you riveted on a razors edge and frozen to your seat, wrapping this jewel up sleek shiny and tight. Observing the challenging trials and hard fought triumphs, stumbling through the daunting twists and wicked turns, putting our characters through their paces, testing them in ways they never saw coming. Boundaries are heightened and strengthened, unveiling the fervent facts, feels and fiascos, kicking this baby into the eye of the storm, blasting it into a tailspin with an astonishing culmination. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, rousting the drama, turmoil, escalating intrigue and spiraling suspense, along with a boatload of trouble, you have one amazing adventure. The characters, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and graphic descriptions creating an elaborate backdrop that feels as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Fantastic job Lucia, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

You can see vividly the talent that Ms Lucia Ashta has with creating unique creatures in this book. So many original creatures and very well described many of which you can’t help but chuckle over. Here they were in Happy Land where everything was edible including what came out of the body like milk duds (huge smile). Among all the pink fluffy crazy stuff in these pages are some ponderous words of wisdom as well. All in all, this Book is a great way to entertain yourself in this crazy real world we live in these days. I urge you to read this as it will help you forget the dole drums while you immerse yourself in Happy Land.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... Lucia Ashta is a master architect of magical world building. She paints her pages with wild creativity and endless imagination and Power Shifter is no exception . In this 6th installment of the Magical Creatures Academy series, Jas and Co. find themselves in an alternate dimension (complements if her cursed pendant), and must find a way out. If only it was that easy... Obviously, this wouldn’t be a Lucia Ashta masterpiece without the usual shenanigans of the magical variety. I absolutely love opening her books because I know I am going to be sucked in until the very last word. Well done Mrs. Ashta. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Lucia Ashta is an incredibly talented author, and the universe she created for her Magical Creatures Academy series certainly demonstrates that. I’ve enjoyed all of them, but have Ross silly been tripping with delight over the mini-series trilogy within the overall series that is Jas’ story. So now we get to book 6: Next Level ~ Power Shifter. Yet another wild ride filled with the promised loads of magic, sizzling adventure, sexy shifters and fae. Also with a fantastic lead in Jas and superb supporting cast. I love characters filled with spunk and wonderfully kick-a**. That definitely here in a perfectly plotted story sub-arc that’s a total delight and easy to highly recommend.

Magical Creatures Academy 6: Next Level ~ Power Shifter

I love 💕 Jas and that she always tells her mind. I always enjoy the different magical beings, I learned to love especially Why, Val and Pan-Yoda.

Jas is stuck in HappyLand… lol 😂 she tries to see if she can go home but nothing so now she has to find a way home, which is difficult when no one wants to help her. But then she gets some unexpected help!!!

This book is far away from being boring, but it felt like Jas didn't make any progress for a long time.

So I'm now looking forward to read the final part of the series & can’t wait!!!!
Would definitely recommend this book….

Keepin' it strange

I love Lucía's imagination! This is a continuation of Jasmine Jolly's story. I rate this particular one 3.5/3.75. If you have read the series, then I have to recommend that you this! I enjoy learning about the character and her sidekick. I love the descriptions, and new worlds. I particularly like the "side quest" where we learn more about that handful of a fluffball, Why. The end is absolutely infuriating, but I know I'll get my answers in the next and final book.

Book 6 in the Magical Creatures Academy (Next Level)

A sugary, sweet, forever happy land. A magical pendant. A shifter holding in the balance. Waiting for things to happen at the right time.

If you like paranormals in a hidden academy setting, this is the book for you. It's filled with all the typical aspects you'd expect with some twists along the way. Strong character development and detailed world building. Featuring a strong, say-whatever, take nothing, take charge main female character.

Poor Jas she is stuck in Happy Land with Why. And she is miserable lol. Why loves it there because it is all sweets. She needs to get the hand of the Pendant if she wants to leave. I really like Pudgester he is so sassy. He is also telling her she Broke Happy Land and has to fix it before she leaves. Also she meets and befriends a Pig Pony reindeer creature named Val who starts helping her figure out how to use the pendant. Right before Jas Why and Val finally leave she gets custody of a mini dragon egg so she can take it to the Academy to hatch.

Strong ending

So this book was not a favorite of mine. Coming off the energy and adrenaline of the previous book this felt really slow and sometimes boring to me. There were brilliant moments mixed in with that though. Those moments kept me going through to a good, strong ending. I could see the necessity of writing this book and the next book makes it very much worth it.

Magical Creatures Academy 6: Next Level - Power Shifter

After the events of book 5, Jas is trying to recover from nearly having her leg taken off. But the pendant is taking too much from her. It is keeping her from being able to heal via her skunk shifter power.

When the time to return to school comes, so does the trouble. Whays a girl to do?

mind blowing

Wowee another mind blowing book from the Magical Creatures Academy Series by Lucia Ashta. All the way through the book I found it extremely fascinating and interesting that I couldn’t put the twist and turn page turning and edge of the seat read. Fantastic fantasy story with amazing characters and imagination

Jas is stuck in Happy Land until she masters the pendant or goes nuts trying. She runs into unlikely companion that helps her in her way. She has so many obstacles to overcome. Also a world that seems to be against her. A must read!

GREAT SERIES

I enjoy reading Jazz story. She had her own experiences to help her grow as a personable character. It's good when she finally realized living is not only about her own little bubble of safety. I'm glad she found her inner Yoda.

An interesting book in the series that runs the gamut of tragedy and comedy. Violence, bigotry, suspense, drama, magic, and self awareness.
