These stories were actually pretty good! If you know anything about the TV show and/or movie, then you know what to expect. Cheesy, B-Movie thrills and chills, with a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor. Luckily, I have 2 more volumes to keep me occupied today.

This is a collection of 5 short stories adapted from the original EC horror comic stories. They are pretty much verbatim retellings. Not bad, but nothing too special here.

If you like goosebumps you will probably like this book. Although it's more Dracula,Frankinstine, more the OG monsters. My favorite chapter was Terror ride. I just loved the idea of thr wax figures. Also be warned it gets pretty gory. For example in the chapter By the fright of the silvery Moon. The werewolf get's his neack slashed open with a silver dollar.

Happy Halloween, folks! I decided to dive back into this little series of TftC kids horror collections for this year’s Halloween read. If I’m being honest, this wasn’t a great read. The writing is mildly bland, a good chunk of the stories are forgettable, and the book really lacks flare. I like the Crypt Keeper monologues and there’s two stories in here that did kinda slap, but not much else besides that. Here are my ratings for each + the book overall:

Terror Ride - 6/10
Séance - 3/10
By the Fright of the Silvery Moon - 8/10
Auntie, It’s Coal Inside! - 7/10
By the Dawn’s Early Light 5/10
Bats in my Belfry - 6.5/10

Overall, 6/10. It’s fine. Not worth going out of your way for. Again, happy Halloween—and please, keep yourself safe.
