Her books have been described as "provocative", "honest", and "deeply moving".
I have asked myself this more times than I can count! In this 12 week study, Carolyn Custis James takes us through the stories of biblical women like Eve, Mary & Martha, Hannah, Abigail, and Lydia. In each of these stories she examines the purpose of each of these women in scripture and helps us relate their story to ours as we search for our own purpose in God’s plan. And, make no mistake, we ALL have one. I would have rated this 5 stars but felt some of the questions were repetitive and some of her more modern day examples did not really resonate with me. But on completion of this study, you will come away with a greater sense of what God intends for us as women both corporately and individually. Great little study!
I liked this study guide a lot. It had a lot to offer and every section was very well planned out. My only complaint is that the questions were very long at times (as in multiple questions) and I would have liked to have had them broken up into separates. It really is a pretty good study guide.
I would recommend this book to any woman who may feel like they have lost who they are. Especially as a busy mother, it is easy to lose the knowledge of your purpose. This book will minister to you.
