This is a pretty good book! When I bought it, I thought it was fun and entertaining with all the popups. My almost four year old daughter loves it. We had read it before but now she knows her letters herself and this is the book she chooses almost every night to read to me and to Show off her knowledge. Without a doubt this book helped her learn her letters and solidifies her learning - we read it straight through or play guess who and try to remember which animal is behind the letter to help her think about it and list everything we can think of with the letter and do pick your favorite - animal or letter! We love this book. It is proving to be very hard wearing - only one minor repair job with tape needed so far and we do read it at least once every day!

An interesting alphabet pop-up book. Behind each colorful letter flap is a pop-up of a detailed color pencil(?) illustration of an animal that starts with that letter accompanied by the animal's name written out. Probably very fun for kids. I thought they were really reaching with "quetzal" and "xenops," although I guess you kind of have to for "q" and "x."

toddler story times; letter knowledge, print motivation, vocabulary;

This is an alphabet pop-up book. The pop ups are easily ripped so I would recommend against giving this to babies to handle.
