I’ve never seen the face of the beast who pursues me.
All I know is that he’s relentless in his quest.
They say that I have the Curse. A ticking timebomb of uncontrollable bloodlust.
If only they knew that everything I’ve done, I did for my people. Still, they plan to cage me. Lock me up and give me a “cure” that may end up killing me.
Now, I’m on the run from a relentless hunter. There’s no escape. He’ll follow me to the farthest reaches of our realms – and if he catches me, I’m doomed.
Surrender is not in my nature; I’ll fight him fang and claw if I have to.
I just wish he didn’t revel so much in the chase. You see, my pursuer is an elite Orc guard, and the faster I run, the harder I resist the more he seems to enjoy it.
With each interaction, there is a dangerous dance between predator and prey, and the lines are seriously beginning to blur. Now, I’m questioning who truly holds the upper hand as I find myself playing a treacherous game of danger and desire. Who knew that an Orc could be so deliciously attractive? So strong, so powerful, and unstoppable in everything he does…and I mean everything.
Then, I'm snatched away from the Orc warrior – and just when I was starting to think that I might not want to be rescued, after all. I soon discover I’ve gone from the frying pan into a raging inferno.
And I’m seriously loving the heat.
“Forged” is the second book in a steamy series. It follows Vespyr, Vidarok, and Tariq! Take care that the heroine will end up with more than one love interest – because why choose, right? This action-packed series can be read as a standalone but would be best enjoyed after reading the “Becoming the Demon Queen” trilogy, the “Becoming the Fae Queen” duet, and the “Becoming the Vampire Queen” duet. Note that this story is written for mature audiences only.
After two decades as a journalist, B.E. Brouillard made the leap to fiction. It was time to create the dark stories that had lurked in her mind for all those years. Tortured souls, flawed lovers, dysfunctional behavior...her characters are not for the faint-hearted. Having said that, many readers will find common ground with the less-than-perfect heroes of these stories. In spite of a mild case of cynicism, Brouillard remains a staunch romantic - Happily-Ever-Afters are guaranteed.
A child of the global village, Ms. Brouillard loves Paris, Africa, sushi, and champagne. When she's not wordsmithing dark debauchery, she spends time with her beautiful men, their German Shepherds, and her pack of killer ponies. Or drinking martinis with friends.
So the endgame has been reached for the Vampire princess. The madness of the curse is still the major threat to her wellbeing but other pressures are brought to bear which threaten the kingdoms of the Orcs & the Dragons. Can they overcome the armies ranged against them? Or have they underestimated the strength of their foes?
I loved this book. It contained a dénouement that was wholly unexpected but was really the only way for it to go. I always enjoy B.E.Brouillard's books, especially when they are spread over a wide timeline. Complicated threads are seamlessly woven into a very pleasing whole, leaving readers with a huge smile & a feeling of satisfaction. So it is with this, the final duology in the series. Now I just need to find a replacement to go on with & I'm sure that I'll track down another of Ms Brouillard's books in no time!
Embracing the fantastical realm of the Morganeau Kingdom, this book weaves a captivating tale of love and rivalry. The love triangle between the enigmatic vampire princess Vespyr, the formidable Orc King Vidarok, and the majestic dragon King Tariq adds layers of intrigue to the narrative. As they battle Harpies and the sinister Orc Bagrak for control of Earomond, the stakes are high, and the plot is filled with twists and turns. The author skillfully crafts a world where mythical creatures collide, creating a rich and immersive setting. The climax, where the trio unites against the common threat, is both thrilling and satisfying. The culmination of their marriage is a heartwarming touch, offering a delightful blend of fantasy and romance that leaves a lasting impression.
What an amazing conclusion to Becoming the Orc Queen! Vespyr, Vidarok, and Tariq are awesome! I love how Vidarok and Tariq go after each other! It’s quite funny! It’s really nice that they recognize how each are such good men though, it really showed their character. Vespyr sure has been through a lot and it was great to see her come around and redeem herself. This was an absolute joy to read with some amazing characters! A lot of suspense that had me on the edge of my seat, plenty of steam, intrigue, and some sweet moments! These three were a treat to read about! Very enjoyable and entertaining and I highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
Second book in this duet ( book one must be read first ) Vespyr is torn between her mate and the dragon who abducted her… when Vidarok comes to her rescue he faces the unexpected: his mate has been with another man. He must somehow forge an alliance with this man to right the wrongs done to his people and gain the position he’s never wanted for the good of his realm. Can this alliance be extended to the bedroom, too? I’m sad to read that this is the last book ( I hope for now ) set in this fabulous world. Wonderful characters and an original world setting make this book ( and all the others) an enjoyable, fast paced and gripping experience.
This is the second book in this storyline but if you’re following this fabulous writer you’ll have already met Vespyr. You need to have read the first book to really get the best from this one. I am just loving the Orc king but also the Dragon king so how many great males can this woman deal with! It’s a hot & steamy book which I just loved
Vespyr is still suffering from the curse. Will she be able to admit it? Will she succumb to it? Tariq, King of Dragons and Vidarok, the rightful King of the Orcs are bonded to Vespyr. Can they put their differences aside to save the woman they love? This story is dangerous, sexy, dark and will keep you on the edge of your seat!!
I love orcs and this latest story by BE Brouillard gives me the satisfaction of reading this author's take on becoming an orc queen. Following the previous stories of demon, fae and vampire queens this orc queen nicely rounds out an exciting out-of-this-world series. Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved this story, filled with excitement danger and spice. Vesper turned out to be a great heroine, I wasn’t sure I’d like her from the previous duet, but she changed my mind and lucky girl, an orc king and a dragon king!!! I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

What a wonderful way to close this series! As with all of the books she writes it was a super easy read.. I am so glad that Vespyr and her men got the endings they deserved.
Forged: Becoming the Orc Queen is the final book in the series by BE Brouilard. Vespyr finally redeems herself. The road to that redemption is filled with twist and turns. The end is worth everything.
This was a great finale for the series. The Vampire Princess, the Orc Prince and the Dragon King fought to get their happily ever after. This story had everything from bad guys, good guys, action, adventure, romance and true love. A wonderful story.
Loved this book the best out of the series. Lots of action, surprise, twists & turns. The characters are great, each with their own needs, pride, courage & warmth. Really like how the story turns out at the end.
Really enjoyed these books, I found the change in vespry really interesting. I never thought I'd like her but i find i was routing for her throughout. Definitely recommend reading the other becoming the queens books.📚
