BRUNO LOPES é Licenciado em História - Ramo de Património Cultural (2008) e Mestre em Gestão e Valorização do Património Histórico e Cultural (2012), pela Universidade de Évora e Doutorado em História (2019), no âmbito do Programa Interuniversitário de Doutoramento em História (PIUDHist), com a tese Os pilares financeiros da Inquisição Portuguesa (1640-1773). É membro do CIDEHUS-Universidade de Évora e do CITCEM-Universidade do Porto. Atualmente, integra a equipa do projecto Dívida Soberana e Crédito Privado em Portugal (1669-1797), coordenado por Leonor Freire Costa e sediado no GHES do ISEG. As suas áreas principais de interesse são a História Económica e Social, assim como a Demografia Histórica. Desde 2009, que trabalha em investigação centrada na História Moderna de Portugal e na Inquisição portuguesa em específico.
