When Terra chose to wield the power of her patron goddess, she expected challenges. What she didn't expect was to become a magnet for magical adversaries, each more cunning and powerful than the last.
Now, she faces a new breed of enemies, ones who wield magic that rivals her own god-gifted abilities.
But why are they targeting Terra? And what do they want with the artifacts of a goddess?
Terra's journey has taken a perilous turn. Gone are the days of simply fending off pursuers. Now, she's entangled in a game with twisted rules and high stakes.
Not only are her own artifacts in jeopardy, but also those of other deities. And at the heart of this chaos is an adversary driven by a rage so ancient and fierce, it predates Terra's very existence.
Will Terra uncover the truth behind this ancient rage? And more importantly, can she survive the wrath of foes not just from her world, but from realms beyond?
Join Terra and her allies as they navigate a world brimming with ancient magic, treacherous battles, and secrets that stretch beyond the realm of mortals.
Unsure why I put the skids on this one about a quarter way thru, but when I decided to return, it was as enjoyable as many of Anderle' s books are.
I'm enjoying this series about a God's envoy/surrogate, and I'm enjoying a new perspective on the Norse sagas and mythologies. The characters are interesting and for the humans, human. Their actions are in line with expectations, but they seem to grow as the story progresses.
Honestly, Michael just writes good stories, full of the joys, fears, doubts we all share in our lives, spiced with things out of the ordinary (God's, magic, etc.)
Like virtually every book authored or co-authored by Michael, you'll probably end up enjoying the tale. So get it, especially if you are on kindle unlimited.
Terra, Leif, and Mads are in a battle with a son of Loki's who wants to gain power and take over Asgard. They soon find out it's a bigger battle than they have ever faced before and they are going to need a little help. I really enjoy the Mythology in this series and the way the Norse Gods show up now and then, it makes me look forward to more fun and adventure in future books.
The great action continues as Terra must race against those attempting to steal Freya's artefacts, with the help of her Norse demi-god sidekick, Leif. Then other gods become involved, posing the greatest threat yet.
A damn good read with a great plot, I'm loving this series!
Really intense and exciting book in this series!!!!!
Congratulations to Michael Anderle for another really amazing series. It’s hard to find such an interesting and exciting author who not only writes intelligently but also provides top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series.
Not certain why this one just didn't do it for me. The basic premise was how to fight Fenrir. The team was able to get the next Freya article, but so little time was spent about talking it I almost forgot it was the goal of the group. There was plenty of fighting, but very little forward movement in the overall plot.
Terra is at a dig trying to get the next artifact. A thief shows up and chaos ensues. We finally see who the villian worse than Villon is and he is something else.
Oh my word, Terra is fighting Gods now! Loved the story and the new characters. So much action and adventure. I love that our heroes are not superhuman and can’t still be caught out, but use their wits and knowledge to best their adversaries.
Choices & more trials, this time with the son of a God. Our team is out looking for another piece of their puzzle and as quests go, they have to manage multiple moving parts. Ever flexible, they manage one part & get helped out on another.
After the first book I wasn't sure I wanted to continue the series. I am glad I gave book two a try. Each book has gotten better and I think I'm hooked now!
