I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.
Lance realized who his mate was the first time he saw Carrie only problem was she was a child still. Carrie’s father, the elders and Lance decided it was best to hide the bond until she was much older. By the time Lance thought she was old enough and wanted the bond to be know Carrie was taken from him.
Carrie is back with her back after being kidnapped and tortured for 3 years. She is trying to move on but she dies not understand the pull she has to the pack Beta, Lance. Carrie had a huge childhood crush on Lance but she knows he is not her mate because her wolf would have told her. The only problem is Carrie’s wolf is not talking to her so she doesn’t really know if he is or not her mate.
Absolutely loved these two. It was hard seeing Carrie struggle to find her place in the pack and figure out what in the world was going on with her feelings as the bond was starting to set back in place. The lies she was told to protect her where she was younger was starting to mess with her. Well that and the fact her wolf wouldn’t talk to her.
What can I say about Lance other than I love him. He is so patient with Carrie even with his wolf yelling his demands. Lance truly does try to Woo Carrie and not just make it known they are mates like his wolf wants.
I loved this book watching these two was great. They make the best mated pair a wonderful yen and yang. I enjoyed this series and all of the characters. I cannot wait to see how the next book is about.

Lance and Carrie have known each other forever and he's known she was his mate for a while. I loved their journey of love and these two go through a lot to finally get their happily ever after. This fated mates, shifter romance pulled at my heartstrings and took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Brave is book four in the Alumbra Pack series and I can't wait to read the next book. The writing is well done, the characters are well developed, and the ending is perfect. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

SWEET BABY JESUS!! The chemistry was CRAZY in this book. YO I was dying for these 2 to get to banging…just kinding but kinda not.
Lance is seriously the most swoon worthy male ever. I mean to see your mate when she is a child and you are a grown ass man…woof cannot even begin to deal with that ….then when you want to come forward and be like “Hey guuuuurlllll” she is kidnapped for 3 long years. So much happens to Carrie but she returns and is dealing. Lance is trying REAL hard to keep his stuff tight but when the woman who is your forever, the other half of your soul, and your future is giving you dagger eyes…yeah it kinda flips him out. Broody doesn’t even begin to cut it with Lance.
There is so much for Carrie to understand. She doesn’t know what this mating mark is. She doesn’t understand why its been hidden from her. She doesn’t understand why Lance would be fated with a damaged mate like her.
Lance on the other hand is flipping because he has loved Carrie since for ever but he wasn’t able to save her and he feels like he let her down by masking the mate bond.
GAH these 2!! I am telling ya…intense chemistry. As always we get to see some hilarious dialogue and funny character scene stealers like Scott from the car dealership.
But again I absolutely fell in love with these characters. The family bond and mating dynamic is written very well by AJ. I look forward to each of her books and cannot wait for who is next. I admit I hope its Jaz. The girl needs a bright sunny day after all her nights in the dark.

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I highly recommend this story. I could hardly put it down. It is about community and caring. It is about protecting and providing for those you love. This story for me is about overcoming and getting stronger. It is listed as book 4, but I had not read the others, so you can pick this one up too and just read and enjoy, although I'm sure the first three are great too!

Combustible!
The chemistry between Carrie Somers and Lance Selba was combustible! But those two are going to wait many years before anything can happen…… the reasons you ask???
Well for starters – the first time Lance saw Carrie he realized that she was his mate – but he was much older than the child that Carrie was! So, the elders of the pack brought in one of the Broderick witches to put a spell on them both to hide their mating bond until she was older.
Then, just when the timing was right to have the bond be broken, Carrie gets kidnapped by the Sivella’s and tortured for three years until being rescued and returned to the pack. During those three years Lance was hard on himself for not being able to provide and protect his mate. Carrie, now that she has returned to the pack needs to find a way to move on with her life. And all this time Lance’s wolf is wanting to be claimed and Carrie’s is still hiding and not really talking to her at the moment.
And now, these two have a long way to go before they can mate. Lance is being patient (his wolf, not-so-much) as he doesn’t want to hurt or harm Carrie in anyway. Carrie is learning that her feelings towards Lance are not really a crush – but her true mate calling to her. This rollercoaster of emotions for the both them of – whew! The push and pull….man, I was cheering from page one til the bitter end! I love this series and can’t wait to see whose story is next!

This was another solid offering from this author! Lance and Carrie have known each other since Carrie was a child. Lance knows that she is his mate but refuses to do anything because she is so young. When he decides it is time to let her know, Carrie is kidnapped and was a hostage for years. When they are reunited, it isn't the reunion either hoped for. Carrie can't believe that he would want to be with someone as damaged as she is. Lance is struggling to get past the fact that he was unable to save her. There was a lot of healing for both of them in order to move forward. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness!

I loved Carrie and Lance's story. It has a different spin on when you find your mate. It also is about how you can move on from your past and start over. The title Brave really says it all in this book. I enjoyed it really much.

Ok this one had my attention. We get to dive into Carrie Somers' life and how there were choices made so that she could live and explore her life. But now that she's back her feelings for Lance Selba start to resurface. The tension between these was hot.
