Breaking Down by Gabbie Black. This was the first book by Gabbie Black that I have read and she didn't let me down. She gave me exactly what I expected when I read the blurb and I really enjoyed this smut-filled book.
Dante and Kate share the dominant lead in this book. They had shared a scene two years before the start of this book that Dante thinks on as the book begins where the submissive walked out on them. Dante and Kate then end up hooking up in the room after. Sadly the submissive for reasons that we are not made fully aware of, decides that they are going to go and trash Kate's reputation and it's not only her reputation that she worked hard to earn but also her self-esteem that takes a hit. After that, Kate avoids the club like the plague, which Dante manages, that is until she decides to make a return.
Enter Evan, our male submissive lead. He is into both Kate and Dante, and he's positive that there would be a sure-fire chemistry between all three of them given a chance. The problem is, it's hard to have two dominants at all times. Who is going to be the Alpha? Is this one of those situations that can't be solved?
I loved that this story is told from the POV of Dante, Kate, and Evan. I loved getting into all their heads and seeing things from all their perspectives. The story itself is spicy, contemporary, and I loved that it was a BDSM menage romance.
Evan's enthusiasm for everything was so enjoyable and the way that Kate developed so much more confidence and a certainty of her own personal preferences and even her own skill sets. Even Dante with his calm assuredness and calm demeanour was a sight to behold.
I loved the way that Gabbie naturally allowed the relationship to develop and then integrated some of the secondary characters to provide Dante, Kate, and Evan support and encouragement. And the secondary characters did so much more than that though. The secondary characters each had their own stories, their own relationships, their own happiness and all that was shown through the book as well.
There was more to this book than just the BDSM though. There were spicy scenes that were intimate, soft, and they were a power exchange that proved the importance of not only negotiation in a relationship but also consent.
They really are a throuple to die for
If you enjoy BDSM, romance, negotiation, consent, spice then this is your book because this book has all that and more.

Evan, the male submissive lead, likes both of them as dominants, and he’s sure he can see chemistry between them. But there can’t be two dominants at all times. Who is going to be top alpha? Or is this situation irresolvable?

A Throuple To Die For
Mistress Kate and Master Dante spend much of their time at Vancouver's Club Kink; we first meet them, they seem to rub each other the wrong way. With the help of Sub Evan, they eventually defrost the relationship and work toward the happiness all three deserve!
Backing Down deserves your time if you love a little BDSM and a lot of love. Thank you, Gabbi Black (aka Gabbi Grey), for a wonderful love story that's opened my eyes to the joys of BDSM!!!

I thought this was a sizzling hot read. Mistress Kate and Master Dante have unresolved feelings for another but are content to ignore it until they both want the same submissive Evan. He seems to be the catalyst who brings them together as they try to resolve their past, and also to figure out how to navigate the future. I found this book steamy hot and fun to read.

Can These Three Make It Work?
Mistress Kate and Master Dante had one incredible night co-topping a sub … then never spoke to each other for two years. However, Evan has been subbing with them both and he knows what he wants: both of them as his. I enjoyed the cold fire between Kate and Dante, and Evans youthful enthusiasm was a hoot to read. The end felt a bit speedy, but their HEA was still beautiful to read.

BACKING DOWN by Gabbi Black is the story of three. Master Dante of Club Kink and Mistress Kate shared an incredible night of domination after which they backed away. Submissive Evan recognizes the sparks and wants to draw them together, ideally to his and their mutual benefit.
Gabbi Black’s story is a scorcher, and she keeps the focus not only on the heat between these three but the emotions that entangle them all. An engaging read.
