In the beginning I found the dual points of view confusing honestly it was a little confusing to me throughout. I occasionally had to check the contents to see whose chapter I was reading. I’ve never read a Mallory book prior to this but I have read all the Tabby Chase books and I thought the crossover was clever. The mystery was very well done and plenty of guilty looking suspects to wade through before the true culprit was uncovered. I enjoyed how both their specialties cooking and coffee brewing were incorporated in a natural and believable way. Being a Tabby Chase fan this has sparked an interest for me in the Mallory books. Overall a very well done mystery story.

Love this crossover. Tabby visits Mallory for Christmas and gets acquainted with Hunch. Cat wisdom but very different from her feline sleuth and gets an introduction to catering. Of course there’s a murder to solve and the two women put their heads and intuition together to solve it. So much fun.!

Murder at Christmas in Honeysuckle Grove is a crossover story featuring Denise Jaden’s sleuths from her 2 popular series, witchy Tabby Chase & caterer Mallory Beck. Fans new to either sleuth will find plenty to enjoy in this shared mystery. Previous knowledge of their individual series is not necessary, with enough background information given to jump right in.

With Tabby’s family and love interest, Jay, busy for the holidays, she gladly accepts new friend Mallory’s invitation to West Virginia. They find a mysterious gift under the tree with a clue leading them on a treasure hunt. Was it set up by Alex or Amber? Both deny it and further clues are proving elusive. A last minute catering job for the family of one of Amber’s former classmates has them too busy to worry about it. But when similar items are found in the client’s house and the patriarch of the family is found dead during the dinner, Mallory & Tabby suspect something sinister has occurred. Mallory’s cat, Hunch agrees and although he can’t communicate with them like Tabby’s cat Sherlock, he still helps them find the clues.

This crossover mystery blends the two sleuths’ worlds perfectly. Mallory & Tabby have different approaches to solving cases and they end up complementing each other well. Although their friendship is new, their shared interests help bond them quickly and you sense they will maintain a strong connection despite living on opposite coasts. Hopefully we’ll see more teamups between them. The mystery is nicely paced and well crafted with plenty of suspects. The reveal of the treasure hunt was especially touching to be and I hope to see more come of that.

The female sleuths from Denise’s two acclaimed series are back together again!

Tabby has accepted an invitation to visit Mallory and
Amber in West Virginia for Christmas and goes with them to help out on a catering job they just got.

The grandfather isn’t happy that his chef isn’t going to be cooking for him so he says he’ll not come down
but stay upstairs. Later he is found dead so the sleuths naturally need to help the police detective (Mallory’s boyfriend) solve the case. There seems to be a long list of people who aren’t sorry the old man is dead but who among all the people there did it!
The girls sift through the clues and when their lives are in danger Hunch dramatically appears at the critical moment to lead his claws to help out!

This is a great cozy whodunnit you’re going to love!
As possible suspects are eliminated, one name just keeps rising to the forefront about her callous disregard of the man who died. Did she do it or was it someone else!

You’ll enjoy reading this story and making your choices along the line and then finding out how well you did!

I urge you get this book now and see why these two
series’s are so popular with readers everywhere!

The main characters from two of Denise Jaden’s series meet for the 1st time in the crossover short story Dead-End Weekend in the anthology A Bookworm of a Suspect. Mallory and Amber travel to the west coast and meet Tabby and Sherlock in Crystal Cove.

In Murder at Christmas in Honeysuckle Grove, Tabby travels to the east coast to Honeysuckle Grove to visit Mallory and Amber for Christmas. This trip is not dull and is full of mysteries. While helping Mallory and Amber with a catering job, Tabby finds herself helping them solve a murder, along with Hunch, the cat who will not be left out.

Mallory and Tabby work together well. Amber is busy interning at the police dept. and going to school so she’s not there as much but Hunch definitely gets involved and is, once again, a hero. Lots of smart observations, plenty of suspects, and quite a few twists. A fun read and looking forward to their next crossover.

If you love either of the Tabitha Chase or Mallory Beck books, this is for you. It's the crossover we didn't know we needed until it happened.

I LOVE the Tabitha Chase Mysteries. It's hands down my favorite series. I have read some of the Mallory Beck books, but after reading this, I may want to read more.

It was interesting to see Tabby outside of Crystal Cove, but it was fun to see her partner up with another female sleuth. She heads over to Mallory's neck of the woods and therein comes across a murder and a mystery present all at once.

This was such a fun book that was so well written. I hope Denise Jaden never stops writing these crossovers. It would be so interesting to see Mallory head over to Crystal Cove next time!

While I got a free copy of this book to read from the author, I truly feel it was a wonderful book. I HIGHLY recommend it. You won't regret it!

Murder at Christmas in Honeysuckle Grove is book #9 in the Mallory Beck Cozy Culinary Capers series by Denise Jaden.

This book has Tabby from the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week Mystery visiting Mallory and Amber in Honeysuckle Grove. I’ve read the whole Tabitha Chase series, but the Mallory Beck series is new to me. I enjoyed that Tabby had a someone to investigate with. I did missed Sherlock. The mystery was challenging because there were so many suspects. There was another mystery as well and seeing if the two were related was interesting. I plan to start reading the Mallory Beck series and hope there is another crossover in the future.

I enjoyed a previous book by this author - one of the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week mysteries, so I decided to check this out.

This was fun, lighthearted and festive. I enjoyed reading about these characters again, and I found the story entertaining. There were two narratives - Tabby's and Mallory's, and at times, I struggled to differentiate between the two, but it didn't bother me too much, and I thought this was a fun read for the time of year.

Thank you to Booksprout and the author for a free copy to review.

4-1/2 stars. Crossover between Culinary Capers & Days of the Week series. Tabby from the Days of the Week series is visiting Mallory & Amber from the Culinary Capers series for Christmas in Honeysuckle Grove. A mysterious gift under the Christmas tree seems to be a treasure hunt, but a death at a catering event soon shows it's actually a clue to a murder. Enjoyed the interaction between the 2 series' characters & the mystery.

When Tabby visits Mallory for Christmas and it starts out with what looked like a treasure hunt and catering job, she thought it would be a fun lighthearted holiday.

However, when their host is found dead by less than natural means, the two friends put their heads together along with part time forensics intern Amber and policeman Alex to figure out who is capable of murder.

A fun crossover for fans of either that will have you hoping for more future meetups.

Who Killed Melvin Peterson ? . . .

Celebrating the Christmas holiday, Mallory and Tabby open Christmas gifts from under the tree and are mystified by an item that makes no sense to them. Is it part of some sort of a treasure hunt? Or will they find that it is a clue to the murder of Melvin Peterson which will soon occur at an upcoming catering event?

Well-written characters and an engaging story line made this book a great way to bring together two series in a delightful mystery! If you are looking for an exciting adventure at the holidays, you’ve found it here.

This crossover book was well-written and thoroughly entertaining! I haven’t read anything by this author before but will be adding both series related to this crossover to my to be read list. This had just the right amount of Christmas fun, friendship, and mystery for me. I loved how the chapters switched between each of the characters’ points of view and how they worked together to solve the mystery.
