Falling For The Enemy

I loved this so much. This has slow burn, it has mafia romance, it has second chance romance, it has enemies to lovers.

Caterina and Aiden have my heart. The chemistry is off the charts between them.

Honestly, everything about this was fantastic.

I can’t wait to read more by this author!

This is a fast paced Mafia, virgin, enemies to lovers romance. I was hooked from the very beginning. This book is the story of Caterina (a bank teller) and Aiden (Italian mafia Don). The book starts with Aiden kidnapping Caterina because she knows multiple languages. They are both attracted to each other, but are fighting it. They have many issues to deal with as the begin their relationship.
I will be reading more books by this author!

Triggers: kidnapping, violence, shooting, torture.

Good book just a little bit slow to me. The chemistry between the two are out of this world but it's just something that is off to me. You read and I bet you'll love it

If you love a good mafia romance, are a sucker for second chances, and swoon over an enemies to lovers trope, this is definitely the book for you.

The burn is slow, but I don't always need hot and heavy from the start. Caterina and Aiden are so fun to read. Their connection is instant, but circumstances make for bad decisions. Caterina is one sassy FMC and I loved her. The secondary characters were also amazing.

Bank teller turned Regina

Just another awful day doing my mundane job turns into a "kidnapping" for being a decent citizen. Then leads to a job working with my enemy. My very sexy enemy. What's a girl to do?

This book has potential to be a really great read. It just needs some more polishing up first. The timeline didn’t make sense to me. It just seemed like it was all happening very fast. It didn’t feel believable to me. The communication needed to be improved between the two characters for sure. The plot behind it, mafia romance, enemies to lovers, made it an okay read. As I said, there is definitely a lot of potential here, just wasn’t for me overall.

Overall 4.5

Was she in the wrong place at the wrong time or the right place at the right time. Turning up late for work was the first mistake of the day for Caterina, then assisting the mysterious Mr Mancini, he already had her hooked with his looks then there was that voice that just captivated her. Her love for languages means she overhears something about Aiden’s sister which she informs him about and this one act of kindness transports her into a different world, not only has she now been kidnapped by Aiden, but he is the Don of the Italian Mafia, and is now in his house in Italy. He has a proposal for her be his ears in meetings so he can ensure that the Russians aren’t keeping things from him, a contract for one year then she is free.

The thing is that these two have an attraction to each other, she is innocent, but shows an inner strength and determination that shines through, being with Aiden gives her the power to be more, her true self shines through, a true Queen. Aiden is man who doesn’t need a woman at his side he is used to having them and then it’s done, but the problem is Caterina has a way with him, she is sassy and stands up to him. He has never had a pure reaction to a woman like this and doesn’t know what to do with it. Can Aiden take a step back and assess what is he is truly feeling and give in to these emotions or will he push Caterina away to keep her safe from the evils that surround him.

Michelle Ramirez has delved deep into a Mafia world of chaos and evil around every turn, not only does she bring Caterina and Aiden together, which has been done beautifully in the sense that it is not an instant connection that they fall for each other but gradual and builds throughout our story. A Mafia Don who has had a hardened life, a dark heart takes time to get to where he is supposed to be, his heart may say one thing but his brain wins over. Can he ever get to the end game where he will let Caterina encompass his very soul, not to be just a partner to be the woman who stand beside him in all her glory as his soul and his Queen. This is fast paced book that has so many twists and turns and when you think we are getting somewhere, Michelle Ramirez hits us again with another twist. This book will have you on your toes and will have you applauding Caterina who becomes a force to be reckoned with and will have you wanting to bash Aiden quite a few times.

Mafia? ✅

Dark? ✅

Novella? ✅

Twisty like a road? ✅

This amazing book is written in 2 POVs: Caterina and Aiden. This novella is a fast burn with an innocent FMC, and an indecisive alpha MMC. I will warn you, there is a lot of cursing, but it has instances where I laughed at the FMC’s thoughts.

This one is very fast paced and very captivating. It does feel rushed, but that’s a good change of speed, for me at least. It was a good cleanser after all the slow burn books. There wasn’t a moment where I felt it slowed down and it’s a quick read too. Caterina knows many languages and Aiden (the Don) hires her to basically tell him what his enemies are saying. I have never read anything like this and it’s quite a different mafia story than the ones I typically read. The only con I have is wishing it was longer. Even the side characters were captivating and I would like to read a book for all of them.

I really enjoyed this book. Caterina was just doing her job at the bank and going about her daily life until Aiden walked in and she over heard something from the guys he was with. She didn't realize then that she was stepping into Mafia business.. Aiden knew there was something different about Caterina but he couldn't figure it out at first. He tried to keep his guard up and didn't know what to believe and tried to keep himself from getting hurt because he was scared.. Glad he pulled his head out and realized it even though they went through so much before.. I did not see those twists especially that twist at the end. Loved it.

Another fast paced read by Michelle, I just can't get enough of her books, I had to binge read them all! And I mean them all one after another. They are that good!! This is a slow burn , but boy it sure does heat up 🥵.

Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. I just had to see what happened next and next. It's action packed with loads. You don't want to sleep on these books. The characters, storyline and plot where wonderfully written. It takes you on rollercoaster ride for sure. Highly recommend.

Cat and aidens story, one that you will be hooked to. She's at work, just another normal day, that is until mafia man Aiden comes in with people and all hell breaks lose. And before she's knows it she's being taken with him. But don't let her fool you she's one bad ass chick.

So much happens in this story and can't really say too much because it would be lots of spoilers if I did. I enjoyed Caterina and Aiden's story. Definitely not a typical love story, that for sure. There are dark themes and be aware of the trigger warnings before you dive in.
Lots of action and spicy moments while these two fall for each other while navigating very difficult circumstances. Not a super quick read, but a very enjoyable one. Story and plot were great and loved the main characters.

This is a story about Aiden and Caterina. I felt the relationship was slightly rushed and the communication between the two characters needed to be improved. However, the story itself was an interesting take. Caterina knows many languages and Aiden hires her to listen during meetings when there is a different language being spoken. Their relationship starts to develop and you can tell they are interested in the other but then some events happen which cause them to fall apart.

I loved reading this book. It’s edge of your seat action packed. Full of family drama. The chemistry between Aiden and Catarina is so palatable throughout the book. She is a force to be reckoned with. It’s a slow burn romance, but once it gets there it is hot! I cannot wait to read more books by Michelle Ramirez!

As always be mindful of trigger warnings, what I like you may not.

Happy Reading!

I loved it! Perfect short mafia book. Was full of drama and steamy romance, the ups and downs having you turning the pages. I literally couldn't put it down, and I'm glad I didn't - the twist at the end was worth everything!
