Corrine Walker has always fallen for the bad boys. But is that about to change? Life has not been easy for Corrine (or any of the Walker sisters) after losing her mother at a young age. Although she’s known as the “smart” sister, she has foolishly sought refuge with the wrong type of boys – the ones most likely to ghost her.
Now Corrine has one year in Portugal to reinvent herself. To show the world, and her sisters, that she’s more than brains and bad decisions – she’s strong, independent, and on her way to becoming a world-class English language translator for the intellectual crowd.
But Corrine’s dream takes a nosedive when European football legend Salvador Torres asks her to tutor his young daughter in English. Corrine needs the money, but does she want to spend time around the tall, handsome superstar with his legions of adoring fans and mysterious past? And where’s his baby mama anyway?
More importantly, why is he always inviting her to Sangria Nights to share a pitcher of sangria?
One visit to the popular waterfront bar with him is all it takes for Corrine to realize two things: 1) Salvador is just like the bad boys she’s determined to avoid, and 2) her heart doesn’t care about her desire to change.
With her future at stake and her heart on the line, reinventing herself has become Corrine’s greatest challenge ever.
If you’ve ever dreamed of falling in love as you sip sangria in beautiful far-flung cafés, here’s your chance! This opposites attract, age-gap, single father, sports romance set in Portugal hits many beloved themes. It confirms that true love will find its way even if we don’t quite trust our hearts.
Sangria Forever is the stand-alone Book 3 in award-winning author, Lynn Joseph’s Forever series. You’ll want to stir up your own pitcher of sangria and book a trip to Portugal before you reach the last page!
Lynn Joseph's adventure travel, island hopping, and lifelong wandering have a purpose. And it's not just to find the best crepes, gelato, and champagne! She swears! Lynn writes about the places she falls in love with. She's discovered in her travels that everyone is looking for a romance and a happy ending! Especially romance authors! Her USA home base is the charming Ferry Village in South Portland, Maine, and her international home base is the Caribbean Island of Tobago, where she’s known as the Mermaid Queen. Lynn believes in protagonists of color traveling and changing the world. And falling in love, of course! She almost always finds a way to work in crepes, gelato, or champagne as part of the story (to support the research!) If you're ready for some sweet romance, join Lynn on her journey of love, food, and romantic destinations (not necessarily in that order).
Had me swooning over the men in this story. I liked the togetherness of their family; and I could relate to losing my parents in my 20’s at a time when you don’t quite have it all figured out. Looking forward to the next installment.
I wish I could add a photo comment of a major grammar error in this book. If I had access to the author I would send it to her. I'm honestly not sure if it is a comma that is missing, but the sentence reads that the main character 'eats, vomit, eats vomit, and repeat.' The subject is serious in nature as she is revisiting her past trauma and explaining her journey thru bulimia so the fact that I choked on my water and immediately took a screenshot to share with my people in wondering if I read it correctly felt a little off-tune.
Again, this author is writing to a much younger audience than myself. If I were back in my late teens or early 20s I would have eaten these stories as 5 *s. Alas, I am older and hopefully wiser now and I am finding them a bit silly even though the author is hitting some heavy topics.
I'm invested enough that I will read the last book in the series. I think the dad's story would be an interesting read. Having his girls all end up spread across the nations as a lonely bachelor.

I’ve followed the Walker sisters through three stories so far and enjoyed them all, including the feeling of visiting all the wonderful places they do over Europe.
