Destiny and David live on separate sides of the country and work in entirely different industries. She is a human resources expert with a flourishing start-up in San Francisco. He is a veteran NFL quarterback living in New York City. Their lives couldn’t be more different. But when circumstance lands them in the same place and similar mindsets – single and on vacation in Mexico – fate has the upper hand.
While Destiny has sworn off dating due to her history of unreliable, egotistical partners, David is fed up with two-faced gold-diggers who use his fame as a means to an end.
No matter how much they attempt to keep their distance, it seems destiny may have a bigger hand in the game, constantly drawing them together in a series of comical interactions that leave them frustrated in more ways than one. When reality finally pulls them apart, will it be their fate to end up together, or were these two doomed from the start?
Sam Marie is a contemporary fiction author who loves writing everything from modern-day romances to science fiction. When she is not reading or writing, she is walking along the beach, cooking for others, and traveling. Her love of storytelling started at a young age. Sam often entertained her family on road trips with long-winded stories about wild adventures in make-believe lands and her love affair with writing only grew from there.
Good little book but has a lot of spelling and grammatical errors. Even one of the characters names got switched at one point from Christian to Christina. 🙄 Other than that, I enjoyed it.
Once I started this I could not put it down. It was that good! The main characters went together so well and the story was wonderfully written.
This is about a woman named Destiny and a man named Travis who end up on vacation at the same place. By chance encounter meaning he finds her in his area lounging on his day bed and drinking his beer. Instead of making her leave after attempts of asking he decides to just stay and drink with her. They go their separate ways but they always find each other no matter where on the beach they go.
I have to admit when I was almost done with this and it came down to Travis having to make his choice between staying or going back it made me so furious. Especially the predicament he gets himself in.
By the end, I was so happy with the outcome such a perfect ending!
5 stars! A must read!

Got to know this author with her book Dom Daddy so I thought it would involve a lot more spice, but I caught myself unable to put it down, I just love the interactions between the characters!
- miscommunication trope This book felt very drawn out and so much of it was internal monologing by the main characters instead of the things happening.
