I enjoyed the varied interactions between characters. I can't manage to root for the relationship between Shizuku and Haru, though -- the more Haru becomes interested romantically in Shizuku the more he seems like an abuser in the making. He stalks Shizuku and spies on her, tries to convince her that if she really likes him she'll drop cram school (Shizuku loves studying and is obsessed with her grades), tells her not to spend time with male friends, and threatens said male friends with violence to try to keep them from hanging out with her.
I feel like I'm rooting more for Yamaken than for Shizuku and Haru. Being honest, he seems like a more suitable boyfriend for Shizuku. And I've finally realized what my problem with Haru is: he is too possessive. I know it doesn't come from a bad place but is still stressful, and I'm glad that Shizuku doesn't let him get away with it.
I have enjoyed this just as much as any other volume in this series. In this volume, I learned more about the side characters and it was interesting to see some things from their perspective. There were more hilarious moments in this volume, where I couldn't help but laugh.
"I have someone I like. I never had the confidence and I’ve doubted my feelings countless of times. But, when she stays by my side and smiles with me, I feel like I can do anything."
Shizuku is a cold-hearted girl who focuses on her studies. Her first priority is her studies and everything else comes after that, including her social life. Haru is a guy who was suspended on the first day of school due to a fight. Ever since then, everyone was scared of him and he didn't go back to school. Shizuku was given the job to go to Haru and give him his school supplies, homework and convince him to come back to school. Ever since then, Haru doesn't want to leave Shizuku's side, and they form an unusual relationship.
One of the moments where I laughed so hard was:
Shizuku is an awesome character and I relate to her in many different ways. I feel like my studies are really important and other things come after that, but I know that family and friends are more important. Haru is hilarious, his character never fails to surprise me. He is always doing something weird, for instance, he wanted to cheer his friend up and went to fish a crayfish. Yamaken is a great character, who is confused with his feelings. Sasayan is looking out for his friends and cares for them. Natsume cares for her friends as well but she needs someone to talk to about her feelings. And Micchan is a cool character and it would be cool to learn more about him.
The relationships in this volume were cute, Shizuku and Haru are hilarious. Yamaken and Shizuku have a weird relationship, and Yamaken is very confused which makes this more entertaining. Natsume and Shizuku have a sweet relationship, but I wish that Shizuku was more open with her feelings to Natsume and I wish they talked more. Natsume and Micchan are interesting and I hope that everyone is happy with what will happen. Sasayan is a great friend to everyone and his bond with everyone is sweet.
This volume was interesting, I learned more about how different characters feel and what they want. I can't wait to see where this series will go. So far, I am loving it!
I actually wouldn't mind if Yamaken got the girl (I'm really in love with his character!!) But it just turned out that Haru needed Shizuku as well as she needed him.
Shizuku needs life, and Haru needs control; they indeed complement each other.
Although it's meant to be mostly for humor, Ryuunosuke Akutagawa's spider's thread is used as a symbol of Haru and Shizuku's relationship. It is only Shizuku that brings out the human in Haru and she's the only one who can make him change or save him. In turn, as indifference is as much a sin as violence, Haru's influence gives life to Shizuku and it continuously changes her. They need each other.
Yamaken is well off on his own. That look on Natsume's face though when Mitchan came to her rescue, augh... I thought I was seeing things at first and it was Kimi ni Todoke moment with Pin and Yano that I was actually recalling, but it turned out that they may take that path too... Augh, I actually prefer Natsume to be with Sasayan! (I won't lose hope though) But Robico is obviously going to pair up Sasayan and Oshima... or so I think, they had a moment! Or, at least Oshima did... Augh, this is beyond discouraging that I just want to go ahead and peek at the ending to get this frustration off my chest. But it's still too early for judgments though, Robico is still taking her time to develop the characters's feelings.
I like Yamaken a lot. I also really like the way the story is going even if their relationship is still a little rocky. Yoshida is a little brat, but I think they're both cute.
A little frustrating but has some super cute parts!!!
The fast-paced story continues on, changing the characters on the way. Some aspects of this I don't really enjoy (love triangles) but the cute parts make it so much better! The art style is still super cute.
Dunno why they're calling and treating Haru like a monster or a pet in the title and cover pages. He really isn't.
There is some unhealthy relationship parts but the book is addressing them.
I enjoy this series a lot more when it is about the side characters Natsume, Mitchan and Sasayan. The main pair Haru and Shizuku aren't great at all, Shizuku is really dull and Haru is just meh most of the time. The first three volumes were 2.5/5 stars, this one is a 3 as I enjoyed the Natsume focused parts.
Ok so now I'm in love with this series... (─‿‿─)♡ everything is falling into place. Shizuku and Haru's relationship is going quite smooth, in a way. Yamaken-kun has feelings for Shizuku... but tries to ignore it because he knows that Haru will definitely kill him if he comes near her. My favorite character Asako has fallen for Miichan. I thought she would fall for Sasayan but oh well. There was a tension between Miichan and Asako from the beginning and they both really are cute together. Also, I think if they became a couple, Asako will definitely change for good. I still think Asako has a back story that will tell why she was hiding from the others girls and why she hates guys who woo girls for their benefit. Miichan is a solid guy working in the game shop or the arcade, and he is so hot...(❤ω❤)
This manga series started off funny and I liked Haru and Shizuku a lot but it kinda went downhill a bit. This volume was boring compared to the others, but Yamaken is an interesting character. While Haru was charmingly weird and crazy in the previous volumes, his possessiveness in this volume was really unattractive. It screamed "future abusive boyfriend" to me ("sometimes I want to cut her arms and legs off?") I also find Sasayan and Mitchan to be super boring characters. Natsume is kind of cute because she is awkward but she is still kind of boring and annoying at times. Oh and that Oshima girl is getting on my nerves as well. The dullness in this volume was probably because Haru and Shizuku didn't spend a lot of time together... those two and Yamaken are honestly the only characters I like.
This one really had a few things that I utterly despise. Today you would call it problematic but in my day you would know the difference between stuff you only want to see in a story and stuff you abhor in real life.
So if you enjoy characters who do (in my eyes unnecessary) stuff because of jealousy then this story is for you. I always thought characters like that needed some more self-control and just being a douche while justifying their shitty behaviour.
A good look at the side characters giving them some more depth which was well welcomed! The haru and Shizuku relationship is a strange one, I'm kinda 50/50 on it, like its cute to see how they react to each other at times but there is something there that makes me think Yamaken would be better for her.
I'm glad that this volume focuses a lot more on the other characters because I'm starting to have my doubts about how healthy the relationship between Haru and Shizuku. Here's hoping that things get less intense in the next volume.
Yamaken is officially my favourite!! Although I know he won't end up with Shizuku, I hope their relationship blossoms as much as it can before Haru takes her away :'(
🎄FRASES Y FRAGMENTOS🎄

chapter 15: i just love how Yamaken is basically a genius but has no sense of direction💀 i feel bad for Haru bc i hate seeing him upset but he’s also being a fucking idiot so… Yamaken singling like an idiot after Mitty tells him that he’s charming IS SO CUTE AHHHHH Haru threatening Yamaken… he took after Micchan😏😏 i just love how much Haru loves Mitty, but my man needs to learn how not to be controlling, but i love that Mitty doesn’t let him ofc
chapter 16: “Natsume, if you’re lonely, don’t put up with it. you can come to the shop any time” i just love Haru and Natsume’s friendship so much okay but i’m starting to love the dynamic between Natsume and Yamaken😭😂 wait did Haru accidentally punch Mitty again?💀 Natsume confessing to Micchan was so cute😭
