Hawk
I've been in love with Daisy for as long as I can remember. Her sister was a close friend, and we grew up together. She was sweet, kind, and gentle; she owned me, unlike anyone before her. I never deserved her, but I took her anyway. She became my world. Until I screwed up and hurt her unintentionally. Now she doesn't want anything to do with me. She won't give me a chance; give us a chance. She pushes me away at every turn. But she forgets; I always get what I want. And I want her back. With whatever it takes, Get ready, my flower, because I'm coming for you, and I will heal what I broke.

Daisy
I've been living a lie, day in and day out. I'm trying to keep my family happy. I'm the sweet Daisy who runs a flower shop by day. By night, I'm someone else. Hawk has always owned my heart; my passion stemmed from him. But he never wanted me until he did. But he wanted to keep it a secret; he had feelings for someone else. I distanced myself from him, and then he hurt me. Making me go through the biggest tragedy that destroys me. I didn't want him anymore; I didn't want anyone. Sweet Daisy Masie is gone. And whether he likes it or not, she's not coming back. He can fight for us all he wants because, for me, there's nothing to fight for anymore. Especially when I'm a shell of the person I was, drowning.

This can be read as a standalone. It is book 7 of 7 of Untamed Hell Fire's MC series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended for readers aged 18+; this novel contains triggers.

The plot synopsized in two sentences. Big SPOILER:

Goodreads math at work here.

4 star stuff
The author's complete and utter dedication to exploring so much of fiction in one book. The heroine is the broken dove/scapegoat of the family in terms of her mother and sister. Mom just doesn't have time for her, and her older sister she adores Unbeknownst to anyone except for two people, the heroine's been the most successful author in Texas. Yep, Texas...I know Texas is a big state as I too am from Texas, but were her books published anywhere else?

The heroine has some really bad things happen to her, and, wait for it, goes to therapy! Real inpatient therapy.

She may or may not take hero back.

The 1 star stuff:
Poor h is in love with a Momma's boy to end all Momma's boy. Don't ask me how he came to be in a MC group unless his Mommy made them play with him.
This is why I can't tell her about Daisy; she'll fucking flip and then make me choose between them both, and I know I'll have to choose my Momma because, well, she's my Momma.
WHAT! Oh, no, no, no, no!

Numerous misspelling, grammar issues etc. Her dad's name is Goerge, and somebody gets something that's right up their ally.. Ouch. Not sure where it went up in the ally, but given the sex scenes I can take a guess. I personally prefer things in my alley.

Speaking of which, sex scenes are kind of gross and not fun.

Things happen, people die, and the H decides to make a move, but wants to keep it a secret because...see Momma. They have sex. She's a virgin, he is NOT.

"I know, and now it looks like I used her for sex when I didn't." He shrugs a little.

"You basically did, brother. Not only are you acting unwillingly like you're embarrassed by her, but you just left your girl while she's most likely sore and vulnerable."

Despite taking her virginity on the floor, never having sex in a bed, never going out, and hiding from Mummy, she's his soulmate...his Diamond.

H sees something he misunderstands because he's an idiot, and then we get to some really, really sad stuff that actually made me tear up. Trigger warning for baby's death.

Sooo, all in all we have a 3 star. I don't know if I have the energy to read more of these as the heroines are tortured more than usual. Flame: An MC best friends-Lovers Romance wasn't exactly a walk in the park.

Epilogue...HEA

Not good… I was here for the cheating and the drama only because the MMC was bad. Her pain was tangible and it hit my gut how much she suffered. But the romance aspect of the book was non existent. They supposedly were so madly in love but I didn’t see it or feel it.

He asked her for one month to prove they had a connection. End of the chapter. The next chapter time jumps to three months where we get no details of the relationship building. they have sex for the first time. Then time jump. They break up. Time jump 3 months, She is 12 weeks pregnant. Time jump to 22 weeks pregnant. Big scene.
We never get to experience any of their relationship it’s just short chapters then a time jump.

Hawk it a terrible MC. There not a single likable thing about him. He is so cocky and it’s not attractive. Because he literally does nothing but hurt Daisy and be with other women.

So honestly.. I give it a 1.5 ⭐️ and this is purely based on the fact that it’s written and edited well.

An MC soap opera that was ultimately unsatisfying.

Hawk is a man who comes across as short on brains. He and another MC guy and Daisy's big sister Rose grew up as close friends.
Hawk has always had a crush on Daisy despite Rose always spreading lies about her. And Daisy has crushed right back, but neither of them open up til years go by.
Daisy was raised as the family drudge. Rose is the apple of her family's eye.

Now they are all adults supposedly...

Hawk and Daisy finally get together but he keeps it so secret that he only has sex with her in places like floors and alley ways. Because he's a mamma's boy and his mother doesn't like Daisy. His mother doesn't like Daisy because Rose told her lies about her sister. Now all this BS could have just been avoided if Hawk had just told his mother that Rose was a liar.
Instead, Hawk chooses to pretend to be Rose's lover so nobody suspects her of sleeping with a married man. It's more convoluted than that, but if I go into all the details, my hand will cramp while typing this and Hawk will just look even more stupid.
Rose dies, and the reader might breath a sigh of relief, but no. Her legacy of lies live on.

Daisy gets attacked and almost raped and Hawk sees this and immediately believes that Daisy was asking for it. He calls her a whore and says he wished she'd died instead of Rose.
You know, there's just no coming back from a statement like that. If I were Daisy I'd always wonder if there wasn't a kernal of truth to it.
She leaves and has a miscarriage.

He gives every appearance of having sex with others but really isn't because that's supposed to appease us readers and convince us that he really loves her. He never slept with Rose either. But part of wonders if he didn't want to.
Hawk never would have figured out that Daisy was innocent if her father hadn't sent him video evidence. And why does her father give a shit now?
Daisy spirals into a pit of self cutting despair that only Hawk and his now repentant mother can save her from.

And there's lots of other stuff about other characters from the series.

In the end, Daisy was pathetic, Hawk is an ass and they are all dumber than a bag of rocks.

But the thing that infuriated me the most was Hawk's tattoos. He has a tattoo for Rose on his chest.
Then he gets a tattoo for the baby Daisy lost on his side. And on the other side is a tattoo for Daisy. So picture this with me. Daisy and her baby's tattoos are hidden under his arms and shadowed by his armpits. While Rose's tattoo is out front and proud covering his heart.

And this is a romance between who?

We didn’t know a ton about Daisy and Hawk going into this. They’ve been around some but mostly in the background. All I knew going in was

Other than the first book, this was probably my least favorite of the series. Daisy was really put through the ringer, and I was totally there for that, but Hawk was such a momma’s boy and wimp for the first 60%. I really needed him to man up and prioritize Daisy earlier.

My Issues
❌ Too many time jumps.
❌ They had a 3yr age gap, so what stopped him from pursuing her (the love of his life) from 18-22ish before her sister lied? Why did he go along with it? He hurt Daisy to protect Rosie, how does that make sense?
❌ British lingo for an American MC. Americans don’t lose a stone. Our biker dudes wouldn’t call their bitches darling. We don’t take the fucking piss now. I’m not sure what that even meant.
❌ Editing issues Goerge, etc.

Bottom Line- Better than Axel’s, but Hawk was such a WUSS the first 60% that it was very hard to overcome my disappointment in him. He’s great the last 40%, but damn, it’s tough going to get there. It’s still not a bad read though.

Reread 4/25/25- Still don't know if I wanna round up or down. This H was a major dick and I feel like his mom got forgiven way too easily.

3.5 stars, i can't decide if I want to round up or down😅

Hawk was a dick. I'm not sure if he should be forgiven or not because what he said was BAD. He was definitely remorseful later on and did try hard to win Daisy back.

Um... I was between 2 and 3 stars. The story had inconsistencies and was packed, like every other sentence something was happening and the writing felt rushed like you couldn't even grasp it. The hero was a major jerk and everyone who was at fault was forgiven way too quick for my liking. If it wasn't rushed, it would have the room to expand. The pain of the heroine? Omg! It was blow after blow and after everything she went through I don't get how she bypassed situations like it was nothing. Again rushed.

The timeline of this couple doesn’t make sense. The MMC is only three years older than the FMC if I’m correct. The FMC’s sister was four years older than her, so that would make the sister one year older then the MMC but that’s not acknowledged anywhere in the story. It also doesn’t make sense that the FMC’s sister was telling the MMC’s mother that she was meant to be with the MMC. What mother would be okay with a twenty year old woman trying to trap her nineteen year old son??

Anyway, the timeline doesn’t make sense because the MMC stated several times that he was going to pursue the FMC on her eighteenth birthday but her sister had announced that she was with the MMC. The MMC being a numbnut thought “sure let me be the OW’s beard for however long she wants it, nevermind the love of my life’s feelings on the matter”. They were supposedly only “together” for a year and a half or so, maybe, and then six months later the sister is dead and the MMC has to wait a few months before going after the FMC. My problem with this is that the book revolves around the FMC being 24 and the MMC at 27. Per this same age range, all these events happened within the two years before this age of f24/27m. So if plot wise the sister sabotaged the FMC & MMC when they were f18/21m but the story starts at the age of f24/27m then there are fours years unaccounted for and it’s unclear when these events actually took place. Either at f18/21m or at f22/25m. I’m just confused on those unaccounted for years. Smh.

DNF @ 6% - I’m no safety reader, but this was too much for me - we get a very detailed scene between the hero and an OW where he fingers her and then gets his cock sucked with ass play — in vivid lurid detail. … this happens right after he informs us that he loves the h. 😐

No thanks

What I liked:
1. Emotional moments that hit me hard in the grieving department.
2. When Hawk got his act together/treated Daisy better
3. How the author dealt with Daisy’s grief in a very real way. She didn’t brush it off and make it all okay.
4. How Hawk’s parents were there for Daisy.
5. When Axel finally- in the last damn book- put stipulations on the stupid club whores that should have been placed after all the antics starting in book one.
6. Epilogue
7. MC brothers and brotherhood

What I didn’t love/like:
1. Repeat of storyline from books 1-6 in parts. Especially from book 6.
2. This storyline was riddled in so much repetitiveness. Like how many times can you say the same thing and run around in circles?
3. Elements from books 1-6 plot devices redone in this book almost to the letter.
4. Club whores and their same stupid antics and no true consequences.
5. Not enough of the major players (MC council, old timers/parents, Ol’ ladies)…
6. Not enough of its own originally storyline - but I will say the grieving portion was done well and believable.
7. I didn’t buy Hawk’s move he supposedly had for Daisy for years for half the book. He treated her like a call girl. Made me sad and mad.

Trigger Warnings
Loss of a child, self harm, forced kiss

Hawk knew that Daisy was the girl for him and he waited until she was older to get ready to finally claim her. That did not happen though when her sister made a claim that ruined everything and pushed Daisy further away. When Daisy's sister passes away though it changes everything and Hawk tries again. The only problem is that he is not being honest to his MC about everything and a misinterpretation has him lashing out at Daisy pushing her farther away, when he realizes he was wrong he will have to go to extremes to win her back. Will it work?

Heartbreaking story. Daisy is struggling and unfortunately the pawn in a lot of deception. She is treated harshly based on lies and when Hawk turns his back on her, she struggles in ways that you do not see coming. Looking for a book with a good cry story, this is the one to pick up. Sad to see the series end.

So, I’ve heard a lot about this book, about the heartbreaking angst, the satisfying grovel, and the poor editing. Well, one outa three ain’t bad.

I don’t think the book went through an editor at all. I understand the author has had some of her books re-edited, but Hawk is obviously not one of them. The father’s name is Goerge (which I’m assuming is a misspelling that is repeated throughout the book), there are numerous typos and grammatical errors; the grammar tragic in me was twitching!

The angst was, well, unrealistic I guess is the best way to describe it. He’s spent half the book saying how madly in love with Daisy he is, but he sees her (supposedly) kiss some other guy and he just throws a vicious diatribe of vitriolic bull-pucky at her. I mean, is he really that stupid that he doesn’t maybe think there could be more to it? The grovel is not great, the drama is soap-opera level, and it just didn’t gel for me.

In my humble opinion, of course 💙

Emotional roller coaster!!

This is the seventh book in this phenomenal series and is Hawk and Daisy's story.
This is a well written action packed emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, loss, grief, lies, betrayal, challenges, intrigue, suspense, healing, loyalty, heartbreak, acceptance, humour, witty banter, and love, which all leads to an entertaining, heartwrenching, haunting, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This one was a different kind of betrayal to the others but still full of angst. I felt like the heroine was almost bullied into forgiveness. And these Mothers in this series are the very worst kind of women.

Be mindful this story covers some heavy topics such as child loss and self harm but you do eventually get a sweet HEA.

3 Stars - the story was engaging, but needed some serious editing. The frequently misplaced punctuation was grating.

This can't exactly be read as a standalone.. the blurb was misleading there. There are definitely moments where you're supposed to understand what is being alluded to, and characters whose backstories you would need to know.
But if you don't care about the subplot where there is a traitor in the MC and another character disappeared trying to find her dad and save him, then I guess it doesn't matter. If you're here for the drama that is Hawk and Daisy, then you'll probably be fine.

Tropes:
> MC
> Secret relationship
> Overheard
> Cruel words to face
> Wrongly accused of cheating
> Stillbirth/Death of a baby
> Depression/Cutting/suicide attempt
> Other people interfere/lie
> Grovel (meh)

Oh wow!!

Was really hoping not to see them go as I loved every single book. This must have been the hardest to read but I love how Charlotte doesn't shy away from these soul destroying challenges some people go through.
Really hope she goes on to Snakes club next... Gonna miss this series though as it's brought me out of a book funk and I've been binge reading everyone!!

I’m still at 72%, but I can already say this book deserves no more than two stars. The writing is sloppy—rushed, even. The drama is what I’d call a complete mess, just accident after accident, I could see then coming from a mile away. It quickly turned into something resembling a telenovela, and I hate when cheating books take that route.

I’m about to reach the groveling part, and I’m not even sure I want to keep going because, what is even the point anymore? The heroine’s trauma has been repeated over and over again—chapter after chapter—to the point where I’m already tired of her (sorry!). I kept reading for the same reason people keep watching telenovelas: for the *chisme* and because, despite everything, it keeps your eyes glued to the screen. Not because it’s *good*, but because you can’t believe all of these things are happening at once.

I wanted to share some excerpts that I think perfectly capture the quality of the writing:

> “Half an hour later, I swallow hard. I'm wearing dark blue skinny jeans, paired with my dark blue wedges, and a dark green tank that flows at the bottom while hugging my breasts nicely. The color brings out my eyes, while my makeup is minimal.”

This was the heroine’s first description in the book. As soon as I read it, I knew—yeah, this is going to be just like Wattpad. All that was missing was the messy bun.

> “He grimaces but nods in understanding.”

Show, don’t tell.

> “I quickly put my new cut on before putting my hair in a man bun.”

LOL, same energy as the heroine’s description.

> “I pump into her four more times as wetness gushes between us, and I come, painting her fucking walls.”

*"Painting her walls."* Yeah, maybe I *would* have given this two stars if the sex scenes were hot—but nope.

All in all, as you can see, the writing isn’t good. The drama is so artificially produced that it becomes ridiculous. There’s also little to no chemistry between the characters. I don’t think I’d recommend this one.

Oh, Rose. No me hagas empezar.

Y Daisy, sorprendentemente, me gustó bastante.

Second least fav of the bunch. The crown belongs to Ink's book because of the h Sophie. While I felt sorry for the h Daisy here I couldn't really connect with her. As well as Hawk. And he was a douche that didn't even cheat. But he was a beta character who was a Mama's boy. He even said in his inner monologue in the beginning that he'd chose his mama over Daisy if he had to. Yeah, I didn't like him at all. Overall this series was the MC brothers causing the women they supposedly love mental breakdowns. So much so they had to have therapy etc. Not really good men, but I guess if I had to pick a favorite out of the series it would be Dagger's book because I liked the h best from that book. Definitely recommend if you're looking for OTT ridiculous stories though. They follow the same plot device though so be aware of that. I prefer this author's second MC series compared to this one though. The ow comeuppance is better over there 🙈🤣.

Ugh

Constant spelling errors throughout the book.
The author really needs a beta team or replace one she has!
So many books and making mistakes.
Ie-Goerge instead of George.
Also why wasn't the mother arrested for drunk driving & killing her daughter??
How in such a small town was it hidden that the mother caused the crash?
Also who paid the guy to attack daisy?
Also, having a baby at 18 weeks,no hospital would even try to 'save' the baby, far to early.
The MMC was a complete wuss, scared of his mother so hid his relationship with h.

Seems like this book is written by a teenager like the ones straight out from Wattpad. I expected more, and ended up disappointed. Angst, I guess is in there 2/5, but the story and the dialogue is cringey.

Oh, and it badly needs an editor as well. I dunno how this one got published.

Lesson learnt: Do not trust 5-star ratings on Goodreads.
