They’re hunting me. And I didn’t even get a chance to run. But it doesn’t mean I won’t bite.
When I was sold into slavery, I made sure I wasn’t worth bedding. I bit. I fought. I made such a snarl of things, they drugged me to try and calm me down.
They would have eventually won, had I not been rescued. Silly me, thinking that was the end of it. Of course I would crash land on an island.
And now I’m being hunted on this exiled sector of brutal vampires.
They’re after my body and my blood. Magnus is one of them.
I should be terrified of the gorgeous male who has taken me to his lair. Yet, when the blood has washed off and the moon turns red from his dark deeds, I realize he’s not like the others.
He’s darkly beautiful. He’s patient in his form of hunting me. He’s powerful in the way he says he’ll claim me.
But he’s waiting for something. I’m not entirely sure what. Because I’m not like the females he knows. There’s no way I can go into heat and take his knot like he wants. There’s no way I can take his seed.
… Right?
Author’s Note: Outcast Island is a standalone novel in the Exiled Sector series featuring strong AOB themes, nesting, growling, purring, breeding, and of course—knotting.
Easily my least favorite of the series which was disappointing because Guorun (no patience to find the fancy strokes) was the only vampire, so I was curious. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me because I was bored with much of it which is bad because it was less than 200 pages. The problem was there just wasn’t much plot, most of the first ¾ of the book was Magnus fighting other vampires or them fooling around which was insta and insta in a way where there was no chemistry. (especially with her creepy dad in her head while they’re doing it -YUCK) I know they’re vampires, but everything felt so cold and indifferent, not romantic at all.
Things picked up a teeny bit towards the end, but IMO it didn’t really flow because the evil family backstory wasn’t really developed, so it felt jarring and was over very quickly.
Bottom Line- Not great. It needed more world building than the glossary in the front and some backstory on the characters. I also needed them to have some depth/personality. I liked the vamp idea because the “world” is mostly shifters, but thought the vampire with a knot was odd. 🤷♀️
MF Vampires Abu$ed Omega Alpha OTT J/P MMC Touch Her And Die V1rg1n FMC
Outcast Island is book three of the Exiled series. It is a standalone and can be read in any order.
Guðrún is a rare vampire omega with a special power. After being marooned on a prison island, she must learn how to harness her ability to survive.
Magnus is living in self-imposed exile on Outcast Island, a prison colony for vampires, to try and manage his rage. He never thought he’d find his perfect omega but fate drops her in his lap. Now he must fight the other inhabitants, his own demons, and characters from her abu$1ve past to keep her.
The relationship between Guðrún and Magnus was thoughtfully written and spicy. Both finally get the mate and happily ever after they deserve after tortured pasts.
It looks like it's the vampires' turn in Outcast Island. This is Jennifer Thorn's contribution to the Exiled Sector multi-author series, and it was an experience.
This is a fast-paced, dark, and steamy read. These are vampires, so of course, there's blood play. Magnus is an uber-alpha vampire who has rage issues. He's all power but surprisingly, doesn't misuse it. He's the nicest guy only to those who deserve it and an absolute teddy bear for his omega. He's swoon-worthy, that's for sure. And Guđrún is surprisingly feisty. She's an empath, which honestly sucks for her but has given her an underestimated strength. I liked her.
There was a good amount of vampire facts that were well woven into the story, creating a whole new vampire mythology, which I enjoyed. The time Magnus and Guđrún spent together was pretty much angst-free, which I enjoyed. He stalked her like a predator (patience and control are key) while she was accepting. They became a team. There were some pretty brutal moments in this book, but I wasn't surprised when it comes to the violence in this book, they are vampires so the violence is expected. A lot of people got what they deserved.
Outcast Island was my first full-cast vampire omegaverse, and now I'm hooked. The story went by too soon, and now I want more. What a fantastic read.
I’ll be honest…I had NO freaking clue how to pronounce the FMCs name through the entire story. And I definitely can’t spell it. Anywayyyyy, she crashes on Outcast Island and is rescued by Magnus. About to go into her first heat as a vampire Omega, Magnus who is also a vampire Alpha recognizes her as his mate. But consent is king to this all powerful Alpha male!
Insta-everything, fast paced and smutty. I enjoyed it.
Outcast Island by Jennifer Thorn is a dystopian paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Alyssa Avery and Ash Beverly. This is the third book in the Exiled Sector series and can be read as a standalone.
This is the second book of Jennifer's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship between Magnus and Guðrún. I liked getting Magnus, Guðrún, and Sigurd's points of views throughout the book.
Ash and Alyssa did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for a paranormal romance, dystopian romance, or a vampire omegaverse.
This is just so yummy. I absolutely adore Magnus, he knows he's not good enough for the omega who crashed lands on Outcast Island, but he's still going to do everything to protect her. Guorun has been used all her life for one reason or another, and she doesn't think this alpha will be any different. Can she finally find the one person who actually wants her, for her? This book is a quick read that will give you all the feels, and the heat
Mmm, this one had a lot of my favorite omegaverse tropes (like purring, nesting, snuggling, breeding, a VERY doting and respectful alpha 🥰🔥).
On the other hand, it felt like there wasn’t much character development or the main couple getting to KNOW each other. In the end I wasn’t disappointed with this one though! Good break book.
This is Gogrun and Magnus story. We get vampires with unique abilities alphas with bad intentions that use omegas for their own purposes. And, of course, the alpha that knows how to treat his omega right. I love the power dynamic between the two and what they can accomplish together. Magnus is the protective I will kill everyone that harms you type. If you love psycho alphas that have the goods to back up his words then you will love this
This was my favorite of the series. I mean who wouldn't want a huge, super hot, bad booty(can't say the other word lol) protector on their side! G, which is what I referred to her as because I couldn't pronounce her name, has had such a hard life. She finally gets rescued, only to drop like a ball of flames onto outcast island. Here is where she meets Magnus . Magnus is a self exiled hot headed vampire. Once he realizes what is in the flaming pod, he knows he must protect her. From there we have a fast paced whirlwind, steamy scenes included, of their story. Expect gore, vampires, steam, and a happily for now.
Vampires! My first Vampire Omegaverse book, and I loved it! Couldn’t put it down. Magnus and his Little Diamond Gudrun. A real diamond in the rough, where Gudrun finds her strength in what she perceived as her weakness. Her delicious, devoted Alpha Magnus. Touch her and die; more like ripped apart. He may have a little rage problem, but he will do anything to protect the innocent and more importantly Gudrun. A bloody good time reading this book. I mean they’re vampires of course there is blood. A quick fast paced spicy story that keeps you panting for more.
I really enjoyed this installment in the Exiled Sector world. Guorun is an Omega princess who's transport crashes leaving her stranded on a island filled with unhinged and feral Alphas who want to knot her! Not a good start to her heat, luckily Magnus gets a scent of her and rescues her. I loved Magnus, he had anger issues but always protected the innocent and, when he realised that Guorun was his mate, he adored, protected and cherished her, swoon! And she realised that with his love and care she could be the strong Omega she wanted to be. They were so good together, providing each other with so much support and love. Looking forward to reading about Magnus's brother next.
This is the third book in the multi author series of Exiled Sector. They are standalone stories and can be read in any order. Vampire stories aren't usually my go to read but I found Jennifer Thorn's take absolutely refreshing. I was hooked start to finish and completely drawn in. Gourun and Magnus ave great chemistry and the wold built around them was fantastic. I can't wait for more.
This book could definitely be read as a standalone but I read it with the other exiled sector novels.
I really enjoyed it, I love how things are different with each omega type. Gundrun (sorry can't do her name justice on my keyboard) is awesome and I loved how she blossoms as she understands her strength and how he guides her to it.
The first book was horrible, the second book was excellent, this one was meager. Very disappointed in the whole concept of the extreme violence and shallow characters. So much more could have been done with them but there's no interest in it because the whole thing is literally when they're both out of their minds.
Really didn't like the whole vampires with knots acting like wolves and owning shifter wolves as "pets" idea. I think if the word vampire wasn't attached to it it would be a whole different thing but for me it just really missed the mark because these creatures are fanged blood suckers for sure but they are way more than that. And I think that was an opportunity that could have been explored. Maybe it will in the future but this particular book was just violence, violent sex, yucky sex, non-consensual yuckiness with the whole father and then - without giving a spoiler away - what they did with them afterwards.
Just meh
Really glad that this was included on my Kindle unlimited I would have been ticked off if I'd paid for this one
Poor empath omega crashing on an island for alpha vampires who have been outcast? Nope nothing wrong there... oh and she's in a forced heat? Yep! That might do it! Her alpha isn't outcast by anything bar his own choice and will do anything to keep his omega safe now he's found her
Okayyyy well not sure what I just read to be honest. I typically really enjoy an Omega verse but this was something else. Vampires who knot, who are Alphas,Betas and Omega, blood bonding but no scent matching but still have scents. We have an Omega who crash landed, in an escape pod,(still confused on that one) on an island for the worst of the worst vampires. I was going to DNF but I’m not a quitter. 😝
This was not my cup of tea, but if it’s yours then happy reading 😊
Jennifer gives us a yummy standalone addition to the Exiled Sector shared world!! The story of Güdrún and Magnus begins with her crashing onto Outcast Island and being found (and saved from several bad alphas) by him. From there they go on a rollercoaster ride of events and emotions on the way to their well deserved HEA. To find out how they get there, dive into this wonderfully written book with complex characters and plot twists that keep you turning pages throughout. I loved reading this story and highly recommend the series! Don't miss out on this book!!
I just finished this trilogy and loved all three. This one was just as good as the other two. I'd never read this author before so I was just hoping it was. I loved both the story and both MCs. I was really impressed by how much the author put into a novella. I can't wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend.
•1.75⭐️ 🤔🤔🤔 I'm still trying to figure out what I read... Instead of.. werewolves that knot... it's Vampires. I'm not sure why I kept going.. maybe I was intrigued? Maybe I wanted to see how it ended? Who knows! But it was Spicy 🌶🌶🌶
She's been used her whole life, just like all of the Omegas from her nest. But when she's rescued and then crashes on Outcast Island, a true Alpha is there to stand up for her. He will not take from her, he always asks first. Even when it comes to getting her revenge. A true alpha that promises to make her his queen.
