C. Gockel got her start writing fanfiction, and she is not ashamed! Much. She received emails, messages and reviews from her fans telling her she should 'do this professionally'. She didn't; because she is a coward and life as a digital designer, copywriter and coder is more dependable. But in the end, her husband's nagging wore her down: "You could be the next '50 Shades of Gray' and I could retire!" Unfortunately, the author isn't much for writing smut. She is sad about this; she'd love for her husband to be able to retire and just work for her so she could nag him.
At the moment, Ms. Gockel is working on the next installment of her Archangel Project series.

This is a combination of different books/stories about vampires. All the stories were a beginning of a series. Some were good and some were great. I enjoyed quite a few of them. There were a few that were really slow burns and some you enjoyed from the beginning. There are some if not all that I might continue later on. All in all it was a good read but so very long.
Grendel & Beowulf was excellent. Very well written, exciting, entertaining. Good characters. I'd give it a 5 star review. Yes, there will be more books following in this series, but the ending is enough for me--not a cliffhanger. BUT.... My 3-star review is because I got to the "end" of Falling Dark & realized it's a cliffhanger. Falling Dark may be a "full-length" book but it's a cliffhangar & I have no intention of ordering the next book in the series because each one will probably be a cliffhanger. I'm debating whether to read the rest of the "full length novels" because I want a novel with a decent ending, not a cliffhanger. I'll stick with authors who give me a complete novel, not a "to-be-continued."

A Scarlet Pathogen by C. Harsh Line - Ann Gimpel - Ariana owns a nightclub and just happens to be a vampire. Conor is her closest friend and happens to be a dire wolf shapeshifter. Usually in most stories the vampires are just the bad guys, however this story is different. Ariana is the good guy! This is a fast paced story with all the wonderful things that come in one of Ann's books. She creates worlds that just pull you and keep you engrossed in the story till the last page. I can't wait to read the next one and see what Ariana and her new friends get up to!
Harsh Line is Ann Gimpel's first book in her Cataclysm Series. It starts off with a bang and never slows down! Although the main character is a vampire, the book is stuffed full of all kinds of supernaturals. Banding together, they are virtually unstoppable. The storyline is fast-paced, filled with magic and mayhem, twists and turns, intrigue, danger and deep-seated secrets. The characters are enchanting and well-developed. Overall, an excellent story. I can't wait to see what book 2 brings!
This review is for Harsh Line by Ann Gimpel. This adventure will grab you and wrap you up tight. The characters and plot are just wonderful and it is loaded with magic wielders and a fresh new take on vampires. I loved every last minute of this book and am looking forward to reading more. I read an Advanced copy and am Voluntarily leaving a review.
Couldn't stand the first one. Started the second one. Shouldn't have. What a drag, and a cliffhanger. I know there's Bloodvice in this collection. This one I can recommednd because I've read the whole series. As it is, I've wasted too much time and will probably give up on buying sets or xollections altogether
Good mix of short stories. I some are better than others
I wish some of the books were longer and other books were not as interesting. A decent read for what it is and I will be reading more of some of the books.
All the books in this collection was awesome. The writers all had different ways of depicting the Vampires. On to reading other books from the series started here.
Each book brings a little bit of different but excitement with it. They all leave you wanting for more. Glad to know there are more to each one of them.
I liked this anthology There are authors and stories contained within that I may have not been introduced to if it were not for this collection of stories.
