How to launch a new product and achieve product-market fit without being overwhelmed.
This book is a comprehensive guide to your go-to-market strategy.
GTM Strategist is an actionable step-by-step handbook packed with tactics and strategies from 54 leading go-to-market (GTM) experts, from companies such Hubspot, Miro, Figma, Metabase, CXL, and many more.
The book guides you to answer questions like: - Who am I selling to? - What price should I set? - What marketing channels should I focus on? - What growth techniques will take us there?
In Growth and Marketing, we were taught how the “big tech” companies grew to their heights more than a decade ago. They had bigger budgets, teams, and global talent. Markets were less saturated. Customers were more excited about innovation.
What worked for these giants ten years ago is unlikely to make you the next unicorn in the 2020s.
We need a different, modern playbook for GTM. One that applies to bootstrapped startups, clever leaders in tech companies, and independent innovators.
So I went on a journey. I devoted a year of my life to interviewing more than 50 experts who shared their “go-to-market” secrets. They provide actionable advice that guides you to product-market fit, complemented by my own decade of experience working with high-profile unicorns and enterprises such as Google, Rocket Internet, Bayer, and Heineken, along with more than 350 startups.
Inside this book, you'll find: - The most well-researched step-by-step guide that walks you through every element you need to start profitably selling your products: from market research to pricing, positioning, and beyond. - 135 mental models and 17 workshop templates that will help you and your team build a winning GTM strategy. - A heap of practical examples and advice by growth experts from these leading Amplitude, Miro, Hubspot, Figma, MongoDB, The Predictive Index, CXL, Foreo, Zebra BI, and many others.
By the end of the book, you'll: - Have a proven step-by-step GTM strategy that will make your next launch a whopping success. - Get hands-on experience from stellar GTM experts and apply them to your company. - Make decisions with confidence using field-tested frameworks and mental models.
Maja Voje spent 11 years working in growth and marketing across the spectrum of high-profile unicorns and enterprises such as Google, Rocket Internet, Bayer, and Heineken to scaleups and over 350 startups. She learned one lesson: growth advice that works great for the “big tech” does not necessarily translate into companies that are trying to find their place in the sun. So she went ahead and rewrote the GTM marketing and growth science to embrace these nuances and find answers and progression for companies that are tackling more unknowns than knowns and need logical and firm guidance on how to make decisions with confidence to win in their GTM efforts.
when you start your solo entrepreneurship path like me, this book is a must to succeed in the selected markets. There is so much value in it, I'm somewhere in the middle of my Kindle version and my plan about building new partnerships and reaching more customers in 2024 is already becoming so much clearer and realistic!
Contains fluff but overall, not a bad read. My biggest critique is that it could distract new/inexperienced founders, which is the very segment this book is published for. More specifically, the book introduces too much as "must-have", possibly to pursue comprehensiveness.
The book is amazing if you don't know how to create a smart, actionable go-to-market strategy for your product or service.
The book gives you step-by-step instructions + real-life examples, ensuring you don't miss anything important in the process and helping you create a comprehensive, winning strategy.
Great book about go-to-market approach for anybody who is thinking about starting your own business, or you are responsible for growth segment of the company you are working for. My kind of book, with a very structured approach, lot of supporting frameworks and step-by-step guide with real life examples. Wort reading.
Amazing collection of knowledge, frameworks and strategies for succeeding on a busy and saturated market. As a newbie freelancer, I wasted no time thinking if I should read it. It's a must-have textbook for anyone starting their own business!
