I'm not a CEO, but I've been in rural hospital leadership for a number of years and I found the material fresh rather than the same boring lines, and applicable to the realities of working in a smaller town environment. Leading, energizing and motivating staff can be such a challenge, but this book breaks down simple tools that are easy to implement.

It was a lot of common sense kind of stuff that is found in other books like asking good questions, being curious, active listening, making everyone feel important, etc. I appreciated the extra attention that was given to Appreciative Inquiry though. That was something I haven't seen in other books.
