Corvus

Rate this book
One lie will save him, or destroy everyone he loves.

Corvus is a liar.

It’s his unique ability. For as long as he can remember, people have believed anything and everything he tells them—but his memory spans only a year, since the bombing in London. His life before that is a mystery.

Virgo and Draco saved him then. They told him what they Star Children, teens with superhuman abilities granted by the stars themselves. With his friends by his side, Corvus has worked to use his power to protect the world from Perseus, one of their own.

But it wasn’t enough to stop Perseus from destroying Rome. Now the Star Child prophesized to kill Perseus, Andromeda, has absconded to parts unknown, and Perseus is closer than ever to his goal of destroying Fate and Destiny themselves. No one knows his next move. No one knows what he’s done with the ancient Prophecies he stole.

Corvus, Draco, and Virgo’s desperate hunt for answers will require an uneasy partnership with the mischievous Gemini Twins and will take them from Egyptian ruins to the British Museum to the Oracle of Dodona in Greece. Their hunt will put them in the path of not only the wicked Hydra, but a creature far more Cetus, the sea monster who haunts Corvus’s nightmares.

What is Perseus looking for? How do you stop someone who already knows everything you’re prophesized to do? Why does Perseus know more about Corvus than Corvus knows about himself? Corvus will have to remember his dark past before Perseus can use those lost memories to destroy him. And more troubling still—Corvus will have to discover why he purposefully erased his own past.

If Corvus is to save his friends, Fate, Destiny, and the world, the Liar will need to face the There’s no one he’s lied to, cheated, deceived, and betrayed more than himself. Every lie has a price, and the price for the lies Corvus has told himself may destroy everyone he cares about.

Weaving together prophecy, astrology, and mythology into contemporary young adult fantasy, Corvus is the epic second installment of the Star Blood series.

This book gets 5 stars for the writing but 3.5 fake stars for how much Perseus pissed me off in this one lmao. The machinations of Perseus are amping up now that he has the Prophecies, and while it’s incredibly frustrating to have the other Star Children thwarted every time they turn around because of it, that’s what keeps it interesting. Corvus tried so hard to remember who he was without losing power over Crater or harming Virgo and Draco and it was HEARTBREAKING when he erased his memories AGAIN and ended up with Perseus.

📕BUNNY’S🐰 REVIEW 📕

Book rating: 4 / 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️

Romance: 0 /5

If you are look for a continuation of the romance between the female mc and the male mc from book one, well you will be disappointed. Book two takes a completely different path, and follows a new mc but the storyline intertwines with book 1 and mostly with our male mc from book 1. Hold on now, I have more to say. I swear this is a good review okay? Bare with me. It was hard in the beginning to wanna continue reading because I am a big romantic and I saw a tiktok promoting enemies to lovers destined to kill each other and then got a whole different character telling a new side story? Yeah I was pissed and wanted to put it down. But I kept reading just in case they would meet again? BUT surprisingly I ended up not being able to put it down and pulled another all nighter! Shocker!

I loved the deep dive in the history behind each star child and their constellations. Each storyline behind them was beautifully crafted and deserved a standing ovation. The author is absolutely a mastermind when it comes to leading us on a mystery adventure. Every chapter is a new piece to a never ending puzzle. Every time you feel like you know what is gonna happen our author says SIKE and we are on a completely different path. I loved the twist and turns and plot twists. And how every small detail tied together.

Book 2 is definitely inferior to book 1. This one had so much more passion, mystery, excitement, heart felt moments and adventure. The level of growth from both male mc’s had me getting tears in my eyes at how proud I felt of them. How they both loved with their whole beings and sacrificed for the ones they loved. Incredibly refreshing of a read.

There was zero romance but for the first time I was okay with that. We get a n overwhelming amount of platonic love and honesty we need more books that portray that. And this author portrayed that multiple times in a devastating beautiful manner. I was captivated. Now I am left disappointed because I wanna read more and they aren’t out yet. Definitely will be checkin in on when the next books come out. Fingers crossed if the author needs arc readers. 🫣

all opinions are truthful and solely my own. Thank you for the opportunity 🖤

I actually liked this book A LOT more than the first one. Tons and tons more backstory.. characters have been fleshed out more, motives are more clearly outlined, and histories are explained. It definitely felt more complete and less rushed, with a fair amount of action.

I found the flashbacks in this book to be quite helpful, and relationships and interactions with other characters were explored more.

The emotions and feelings Corvus experiences as he slowly recovers his memories were realistic, and I was NOT expecting some of the twists in the novel, so that was refreshing.

This book was full of action and battle scenes, twists, and betrayal, and it was a lot more exciting than the first book. There's a sense that characters will betray one another, but you never really know when or how or who it's going to be, and it kept me invested.

I really enjoyed the sequel to Andromeda. I liked that a different character narrated this book, since it gave a new perspective and introduced new characters. There's a lot more action in this book, and I enjoyed the plot twist (which I really didn't expect). I'm looking forward to reading the next one!

I did not expect most of what happened on this second book, which is what kept me intrigued most of the way. Even though I didn't like Corvus's character in the first book I really enjoyed his perspective as MC in this one. I loved the Gemini Twins, and all the new characters that appear in this book. Looking forward to the next book.
