Never did I imagine I’d be waking up from a self-inflicted concussion with my dad’s best friend between my legs.
I mean, I kind of set things in motion when I agreed to work under the man who I’d crushed over since High School.
I’m 27 now, but it turns out, he still refuses to treat me like an adult.
So I have something to prove. For the next few months, I’m his personal assistant.
And other than accidentally kneeing him in the balls the first day on the job & getting caught in the office attending to his nether regions, I’d say I kept it professional.
But after an unexpected event which caused me to move into his mansion with his daughter temporarily, the boundaries began to blur.
As I began to see his softer side, my crush has evolved into something more intense.
Between the tangled emotions, and my clumsiness, I lay under a widower who may not be ready for love.
Now, I may be waking up from a concussion, but am I wrong to think there could be something there? Or is this all just temporary.
Healing The Hole In His Heart - Elizabeth was a feisty independent woman, who lived her life on her own terms and didn’t like it when people tried to limit what she can do. Craig was a widower whose life was solely about his clients and his daughter. Even though Craig and Elizabeth were family friends, her first day working for his didn’t start out pleasant, but she saved her job when she managed to convince one of his clients to do something the client didn’t want to do.
However, their tension filled relationship led to them engaging in the horizontal mambo, but Craig panicked and caused friction between them. Even though Elizabeth was missing Craig and his daughter took the opportunity to distance herself from them, which made Craig finally acknowledge his feelings and do everything within his power to make her his forever. This was a really enjoyable read, with lots of witty banter, emotional moments and steamy encounters throughout. This is the first book I have read from this author and it was a truly wonderful experience.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
My first book by Autumn Price. To be honest after finishing the first chapter I thought this would be one kind of book, with spanking and discipline. It is not. It is a sweeter book with a couple hot scenes. I laughed, actually in 1 place I laughed, reread and laughed some more. Interesting book, a little predictable, but a good story.
This was such an easy read I totally loved the banter between the characters. The absolute attraction was electric between them in their moments of intimacy with the morality challenge with their age gap and finding love together. Totally would recommend this book.
