Rebekah Sinclair writes books that bite back.
Dark rom-coms. Greek mythology retellings. Wicked fae. Billionaire antiheroes. Her stories blend unhinged humor, high-stakes heat, and emotional wreckage you’ll thank her for later.

With 11 published novels (and plenty more on the way), Rebekah has built a world of morally gray men, stabby women, and plot twists that hit like a betrayal kink. Whether you’re into serial killers with soft spots, gods who fall too hard, or fae realms soaked in shadow, there’s a love story in her lineup that will ruin you—in the best way.

Off the page, Rebekah is a single mom to five wildly chaotic kids and four fur-babies (two cats, two dogs, all equally dramatic). Writing started as her escape. Now it's her full-blown career, complete with exclusive covers, spicy book boxes, and signings where readers show up wearing eyeliner sharper than her plot twists.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably hiding from her kids in the pantry, pretending to be brainstorming.

Welcome to Rebekah Sinclair’s world.
The spice is high. The stakes are higher.
And no one makes it out emotionally intact.

I really wanted to love this. I enjoyed the first book, I LOVED Calypso's novella, but I just feel like this one, to me personally, had entirely too much going on and took to long to get to the point. I felt confused a lot. & don't get me wrong I love complex story lines but this was too much even for me. The parts I did understand, I enjoyed. So with that, thank you to Rebekah for allowing me to be apart of your arc team, I'm sad I didn't love it as much as everyone else.

I struggle to find the words to do justice to how beautifully Rebekah Sinclair weaves this story into a tale of epic proportions. Every word and every page is filled with so many emotions of danger, fear, sorrow, and a magnificent love story. I cried my heart out at the pain the characters suffered, and I cried again with small moments of joy they were able to capture. Never before has an author invoked such a rollar coaster of so many emotions in one book. I can't wait to read the next one and see where this story goes.

As an ARC reader for Rebekah Sinclair, I had the delightful privilege of diving into "Awakening the Forgotten Goddess," the eagerly anticipated sequel that continues the enthralling blend of modern fantasy and urban legends intertwined with the rich tapestry of Greek mythology.

The story offers readers a blend of historical intrigue and character evolution. Sinclair introduces us to new characters while delving deeper into the ones we've grown to admire, enhancing the narrative with their complexities and growth. The author's adeptness at weaving Greek mythological elements into the storyline is awesome, providing a story that is both informative and captivating.

The author balanced the pace to incorporate suspense, twists, and a touch of fantasy romance that kept me engaged and constantly flipping pages. This book does a marvelous job of exploring Rhea’s journey of self-discovery, juxtaposing past and present lives in a way that is mind blowing at times.

While I found the pace slightly less hurried compared to the first book, this did not detract from the story's allure. Instead, it allowed for a more profound exploration of character development and depth.

In conclusion, Rebekah Sinclair's "Awakening the Forgotten Goddess" is a brilliantly crafted sequel that not only meets but exceeds expectations. It's filled with engaging twists, heartfelt emotions, and a deep dive into the essence of Greek mythology. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to fans of the genre and commend Sinclair for crafting such an immersive and captivating world.

I had the honor and the privilege of getting an ARC of this book and I’m so happy that I did! This series is a true delight that gives you all the feels. After reading The Forgotten Goddess and The Unforgotten Flame I was chomping at the bit to see where the story was going to take us. This book was a perfect blend of fantasy, romance, spice, banter, heartache, frustration and a touch of humor all while keeping you at the edge of your seat. In this book we get to dive a little deeper and see the character development while being introduced to new characters as well. Mor is definitely a stand out character and Callie is my favorite! I absolutely loved the multiple POV of Rhea and Hermes along with added POV of other characters. The way Hermes love for Rhea runs so deep and it’s so poetic really melts my heart. All his inner monologues had me catching butterflies and swooning. I will say this book definitely is a little slower than the first book of this series but I know it’s going to set us up for what’s next and let me tell you, I CAN’T WAIT!!!! I truly can’t recommend this book and series enough. Rebekah Sinclair has become one of my favorite authors because the way she can beautifully articulate and write a story.

Overall Thoughts: A great continuation of the first book! Gives more information about the characters unlocking histories and connections that we were previously unaware of. There's a ton of action in this one as secrets are unveiled. There's definitely a lot going on and it makes sense that this book is about twice as big as the first!

In-fucking-credible!!

There are no words to adequately describe the absolute awe of this book. The amount of details woven into the intricate plot is enough to leave you dumbfounded. Couple that with a vastly diverse cast of characters who leave you so emotionally wrecked it’s not even funny and you end up with a beautifully crafted tale that’ll stay with you forever.

I am not usually one that would naturally gravitate towards Greek Mythology however this series has so many unique elements that keeps me interested and invested.

Rebekah does a fantastic job at bringing “characters” that I’ve heard of since childhood to life.

This book was absolutely beautiful, but it was definitely an emotional roller coaster! Definitely read book 1, The Forgotten Goddess, before you pick up this one! Also if you are hoping for a quick reunion, be prepared to be disappointed but the angst is so worth the wait!

I’m ready for Rhea and Hermes to finally have their happily ever after, but I am also ready for Rhea to show just how much of a strong woman she can be. I look forward to reading the next book in this amazing series!!!

4.5 star ARC review for "Awakening The Forgotten Goddess" by Rebekah Sinclair:

"Awakening The Forgotten Goddess" by Rebekah Sinclair, much like its predecessor, offers a delightful blend of various elements. From intense angst and betrayals to second chances, comedic relief, and epic battle scenes, this book truly has something for everyone. The continuation of the love story between Rhea and Hermes adds a captivating layer to the narrative.

In this second installment, we are treated to a wealth of answers and clues that hint at future secrets, leaving readers eagerly turning the pages. The predominantly dual point of view narration allows for a deeper understanding of the characters and the story itself, and the inclusion of other character perspectives adds even more insight.

The vivid visuals created by the author's prose make it easy to imagine oneself right alongside the characters, experiencing the fantastical world firsthand. Whether it's the ethereal landscapes, the intricately designed magical creatures, or the awe-inspiring battle of Gods and creatures, every aspect of the world building is carefully crafted and immensely captivating.

I must commend Rebekah Sinclair for a fantastic job in crafting this story. As an ARC reader, it was an absolute honor to have the opportunity to dive into this world. The cliffhanger ending had me on the edge of my seat, craving more. I simply cannot wait to see how part three unfolds and what lies ahead for the characters.

As others have stated, you definitely want to read Book 1 first, and I would even suggest reading the Novella as well before you dive into Book 2.
She's (the author) done it again, folks. I absolutely am in love with this story and the characters.
The author did such an amazing job with the twist and spins on Greek mythology. The FMC is so relatable as well, and the slow burn and/or tease throughout this is enough to leave you begging for more. And let me tell you... I want more!!!
Everything is well written, and I'm so ready for book 3. I mean, come on with that cliffhanger?!?!

This is the 2nd in the series and this book did not disappoint. There was no 2nd book slump here! This book was a roller coaster of anxiety. You are constantly on these missions and adventures of the characters wondering if they are going to succeed or are they going to fall. This book has loads of minor missions/event that are all in preparation for the big blast at the end. So, your heart is almost always in your throat because just as one mission is coming to a close there is a twist and you're on another mission.

This is more urban fantasy with a small subplot of romance as you are hoping this throughout the whole book that Hermes will be reunited with his mate, but it is not the main focus of the story. This is a slow burn again with low spice, but it makes sense for how the story was written and it made the time they were finally reunited all that more spectacular. This is an ongoing series and leaves on a little twist/Suprise with the storyline still going on so keep that in mind and I am so excited to read what she does with the next book.

This book starts with Persephone waking up in the underworld with Flit, Ares and Demeter at her side helping her heal from the great battle the night before where Hermes dealt her this nearly fatal blow. She vows revenge on him, and she intends to get it as she is Ares assassin and has the skill to take him out. But all is not what it seems in the underworld, there are shadows with secrets and screams hidden within them. There are the people around her that seem to be hiding things from her and her gut is always telling her not trust them. But what she doesn't know is the biggest secret in the underworld isn't hidden in the shadows is she is not who she thinks she is...
Hermes on the other hand is doing everything he can to find all the help he can get to save Rhea and the world and in doing so finds help in the most unlikely of spots after following some breadcrumbs left by his mate. Hopefully it will be enough to help him save Rhea, so she doesn't have to die and be reincarnated again all while trying to take down Ares.

*I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

✨ Awakening The Forgotten Goddess by Rebekah Sinclair ✨

~~ May we weather all storms. And find the strength to overcome. And above all ... just survive. ~~

This series had gotten my attention since last year when the first book had been released and I added it to my TBR but hadn't been able to read it. I had the opportunity this time around during this release so I binge read it and let me tell you. I've read some fantasy romance with Greek mythology on it but I don't think I had read one with as much in-depth as this one was. At times I noticed that I was re-reading chapters to make sure I stayed with the story and didn't missed anything. With other books I can read and do something else at the same time but with this one I definitely didn't because the minute I did something else I would get lost. That's how detailed this series is. At times I took breaks to make sure I didn't get overwhelmed or distracted so needless to say it was a slow reading process. This series was so well written. The plot is fantastic. The characters are just freaking amazing. When I read book one it also mentioned Callie's story briefly and of course I read The Unforgotten Flame before jumping into this one and when I tell you Rebekah had me bawling like a baby is an understatement. I of course love the bond between Hermes and Rhea but the sister bond between Callie and Rhea on this was just beautiful to see.

I love the story this far and i absolutely can't wait for the next one.

This story had it all. Heartbreak, battle, love, deception, adventure and betrayal!
To my pleasant and appreciative surprise, the story had undertones of women empowerment and progressive change.
At the heart of the story I found 2 major things. One is love, and how no obstacle is too great to eternally separate two lovers. The second is overcoming darkness and pain. Whether it be yours, or helping someone else come out of it. The characters went through hell and back to bring each other out of different forms of darkness.

There were so many moving parts to this story- between characters & powers & surprise connections… the author executed and conveyed them flawlessly. Just like in TFG, Rebekah perfects the craft of storytelling through Greek Mythology, while detailing it in a way anyone (even those like me unfamiliar w/ GM) can appreciate and understand.

We also get new POV’s in this book! So many truths revealed, it was refreshing to have outside perspectives!
Seeing the lies and fabrications from a different lens was eye opening and informative, and will have you reading in disbelief!

I can’t tell you how many times I was reading and yelled OMG!! Each time I thought I couldn’t be surprised again…. The author throws another gut punch or revelation at you!!!! I love love love when I don’t see things coming in a book, and I have to say…. There were more than a few things that took me by surprise!!!

ATFG is VERY well written- the plot itself is so intricate, but is delivered in easy bite size pieces that make it easy to digest. Not only did I enjoy the characters, but I genuinely enjoyed the story and the crazy paths, twists & turns it took!

I can’t wait for book 3 !!!! I have so many questions!!!!!!!!

PS. I cried more than once, so bring your tissues!!
PSS. I think Mor is my new favorite character in the series :)

Thank you to Rebekah for sending me an ARC!

I love this story. The retelling of ancient gods/goddesses will always enthrall me.

Few spoilers, nothing big.

Things I liked:
The characters. I adore the banter between the friends, the camaraderie that comes with knowing people so long (in this case, lifetimes). There’s a lot of love in this story as well as heartbreak and it’s a wonderful ode to the Greek tragedies.

The plot. I like that we get more origins here and the villain(s) stories are explored more. It was a bit hard to catch on sometimes when Rhea’s poisoned mind was fighting with her true self, but the utter confusion she was drowning in was effectively evoked with it.

Hermes. Love him, his intensity is great. But his humor brings him home for me.

Things I didn’t like:
This was more telling, less showing. There was almost too much description for “powers” for me. Like an over explanation and a constant use of “my power” when the characters were using them.

Not much progression. This book follows the journey to get Rhea back, but while a lot happens in the book, it also feels like nothing happened at the same time. She gets a leg up, some outside (or internal) help, and then within a minute she’s right back where she started - almost to the very end. There’s no arc or really any learning for any character in this installment. It’s all about remembering things, restoration. And while I love a good past reveal, that’s really all there was. I felt the “journey” part of a story structure was lacking here. It’s all centered around Rhea overcoming the poison in her mind, the whole thing. And while I acknowledge that is a type of journey in itself, it was a little too all in her head for me.

This one wasn’t left on a massive cliffhanger like the first, but you are very much left with a “well what are they going to do next??” feeling. Can’t wait for the next installment, I’m excited to see how they play out their next moves.

“In the Underworld, lies become truth, villains become heroes. Trust nothing, and no one. Especially yourself.”

There is nothing like being so excited to read a sequel that makes you plow through the first book and the novella just in time to read the second book in the series. Awakening the Forgotten Goddess sparked my interest as soon as I saw word of it’s release and immediately got caught up on the series.

Rhea, our FMC, has been to Hell and back. In the first book we see Rhea on a search for her true identity. Her entire life as she knew it was a lie and now on top of everything needing to deal with being closer to the antagonists and help them with their undertakings. Rhea struggles with her true identity I find even more so in Awakening the Forgotten Goddess due to her unforeseen circumstances. But it is these circumstances that are helping to provide her with the answers she needs in order to survive.

Thanks to the amount of world building Sinclair provided in Book 1, she is able to focus less on that and instead not introduce more characters and therefore more points-of-view. These POVs are helpful to provide more insight into their world and to get to know how they benefit the main plot. Sinclair also adds a new primary setting into the mix, the world of the antagonists. It is always a treat getting to see inside the opposing world. Another tool Sinclair uses in Book 2 are flashbacks. Rather than just making a reference, when it is imperative, a flashback helps to give the readers more perspective, as most of these characters have been alive for over hundreds of years they have many stories to tell.

Rebekah, thank you for providing us with more of this heroic tale of self-exploration, found family, and fated relationships. I feel so connected with your characters, being a slow reader and all, I have spent a lot of time with them, yes. But they also have a warm place in my heart, Rhea especially. I highly recommend Awakening the Forgotten Goddess for anyone who is looking for a great adventure book and also has an interested in Greek mythology.

Amazing, Gut-wrenching, 10/10 recommend

Awakening the Forgotten Goddess by Rebekah Sinclair is an absolute masterpiece that left me gutted in the best possible way! From the first page, I was hooked by the intense action, heartbreaking twists, and the emotional depth of Rhea’s journey. In the hands of Ares and driven by her false memories, Rhea is caught in a whirlwind of chaos, and nothing is as it seems.

Calypso, Achilles, and Hermes never stopped fighting to get her back, showing the depth of their loyalty and love. The betrayal from someone close to Rhea hit hard, leaving me reeling. With the arrival of Medusa, Mor, and Hypnos to the rescue mission, the stakes are raised even higher as they fight to save both Rhea and the shifters.

Rebekah does an incredible job introducing newish characters like Lucas and Kai, who risk everything to help Rhea from inside Ares’ lair, even when she doesn’t remember who they are. The action was relentless, the spice perfectly balanced, and the emotional beats kept me turning pages late into the night. This book is full of betrayal, heartbreak, and loyalty, and every twist left me breathless. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this brilliant series!

This was a reread but I cried just as hard, laughed just as hard, and wanted to throw my kindle across the room!

“May we weather all storms. And find the strength to overcome. And above all… just survive.”

Take whatever you thought you knew about mythology, historical past events and legends, throw it away and get ready to learn the truth.

This is book 2 in The Forgotten Goddess Series and it has a lot more action in it. - (Think Marvel Superhero blended with a bit of Percy Jackson and a dollop of Underworld) The author did wonderful job on giving the descriptions but not losing movement in the action scenes. The chapters have moments where you learn about past events that lead to the current events and they are all seamlessly woven in to keep the story flowing.

I am a side character lover, and I feel in LOVE with Achilles in book one, and I know a few people who feel in love with other characters (yes, like some fight in which bat boy is best, we fight in which god or goddess is best). The author has a great balance of adding characters but with intention. They each have a personality, there are moments of banter, stress, tension, heartache, and rage that help support the main character and world being built.

If you love theories, then make sure to have your annotation kit or notebook ready!

The continuation of The Forgotton Goddess series does not dissapoint!

Its magical, lyrical, its got the spice, the agony, the shock value! I am left with wanting to know more but also satisfied with what I got.

And for those of you that got irritated about the first book cramming things/alot in one story...I can say this book defenitly had a smoother timeline. The plot is adventurous but not too adventurous to the point its overwhelming. I loved the first book but I tend to be chaotic so I felt at home just fine.

This book has progressed so much in a good way since the first book and I couldnt be prouder! The repetitiveness of one certain occurance did have me irritated for the weakness of the main character but it is well worth the read to look past it. And honestly its not out of place for the plot either. What I truly loved in this book besides the side characters was the backstories and flashbacks. They were so delicately and expertly woven that it just flowed exceedingly well. Loved it!

A special thank you to Rebekah Sinclair for this precious gift and allowing me to read it in advance of the release date! Keep the story coming! I am ready for whats next!.

Rebekah Sinclair does a wonderful job with this second installment of the Forgotten Goddess Series. A reading of Book 1 is a must. Just like the predecessor, well written, page turning and an excellent job on dual POV.

Character development was great as usual. Book 2 starts right where Book 1 left off. We all have probably experienced in reading Book 2 in a series, it sometimes does not live up to Book 1 or the hype, but this one wasn't one of those. She did an excellent job in giving us what we wanted, but also leaving us wanting more and now I am looking forward to Book 3!

Great writing, plot, character development, unique story. If you're into Greek Mythology mixed with Fantasy and Romance, you will definitely enjoy this book and the whole series. Unforgotten Flame is also in the series as a side story as well which adds even more as a Book 1.5.

I cannot recommend this book enough! I finished reading weeks ago, and didn't get a chance to leave a review until now but thank you to Rebekah for the ARC! I am truly honored to have been chosen and having been able to read this.

I have gone over for hours how to put my feelings for this book or honestly the whole series into words and I keep failing. I feel like I need a thesaurus to find words that will match these feelings, but I also feel like there are no words to describe it accurately. Going into this book from the other two I knew I was putting my heart on the line. Rebekah does an amazing job of pulling emotions out of you, but she also hands you the bandaid at the same time. This series has definitely raised it's game in this book. You have a goddess who is discovering herself, but also can not because of the darkness being against her. Betrayal and love trying to conquer all, but with darkness like this, that is hard to accomplish. When the world you are trying to protect is against you, the fight seems impossible and you feel this in this book. Rhea and Hermes are at odds, but on the same path and you find out secrets that are definitely making theories spin in my head, at this point I need a notebook and map. A perfect mix of mythology and new elements are at play in this book and Rebekah has built such an amazing and complex world. I am excited and a bit nervous to see what comes next.

Rebekah has done it again! Now the first book will forever be my absolute favorite, I still loved this book. I love this series!

I was thrown off at first, Rhea is bad?! Well that one you’ll have to find out for yourself, because I’m not telling! Hermes is determined to find his fated mate. You are going to go along with him so much through this book. Not only is he getting pieces of the past brought back to him within memories, but he’s gaining powers as well as he goes. Maybe, more powerful than we thought. You will meet new characters through his journey, as well through Rhea. Of course my absolute favorite new character, and new book boyfriend, has to be Lucas. You’re going to see more wolves, more shifters, and even vampires in this book. Tons and tons and tons of action. Which makes me want to see this put out as a movie series. And I have noticed in this book, that you don’t just get Hermes’s and Rhea’s point of view chapters, but other characters as well. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book to find out what will happen next!

A Whirlwind of emotions is putting it very lightly when it comes to describing this book. We're thrown back into the world of Greek Gods fighting to save mortal and immortal alike from the tyrant that is Ares. As Rhea works to piece together the tattered fragments of her mind, Hermes doesn't lose hope for his mate. The family that has gathered around the mates throughout time refuses to give up either, they won't fail this time. She won't suffer another death and Ares will face justice for the evil he's committed in pursuit of power.

The beautifully woven world of the Forgotten Goddess series doesn't disappoint with battles that make you lose your breath waiting to see the outcome, betrayals that will break your heart and actions of love that bring tears to your eyes. It will pull you in and leave you waiting for the next venture into the world Rebekah Sinclair has created and graciously shared with us.

Rebekah Sinclair has done it again. She is on fire and blessed by the gods themselves to only have written an amazing book like this one, but to have THREE in a row that have been just such incredible reads.

This book starts off like pretty much no time has passed from book one. We are still feeling all those fresh emotions from where we ended in the first.

Rhea has had her memories altered by Demeter and is now going by Persephone, an older lifetime she has lived. She believes she is in a relationship with Flint, Hermes is her enemy, and that she is an assassin for Ares.

Rhea can sense something is off from the beginning though, like how she feels when Flint touches her doesn't feel right and the way he behaves doesn't match with what she would want a partner to be.

This book is filled with grief, joy, sadness, loss, anger, secrets, just all of the things!

Also Hermes has a few power reveals and all I'm saying is bring some water besties.

This book does end on an informational cliffhanger so I'm ready for book three already!

Going to keep this one short and sweet for now and might flesh it out later after I’ve had time to sit with my feelings. This series is… everything. I knew I would like book 1 but was pleasantly surprised by how profoundly it spoke to me on a personal level. It became a forever favorite. The novella surprised me again by ripping my heart to shreds while also making it feel so full of hope and healing. Book 2 continues the trend of being exactly as good as I expected while also wildly surprising me with HOW MUCH I loved it. The humor and the spice and the nervous excitement all ramped up significantly in this book and I could not put it down. You’re in the heart of the world/story now so everything moves faster. I don’t think I’ve ever made so many kindle notes/highlights while reading. I cannot wait to see what happens next. The whole series is an instant classic full of characters and moments that’ll stay with me forever. Treasured.

Need Book 3

3.5 Stars - This my first thoughts after finishing.

Firstly totally loved book 1 - was a dream read.

Book 2 I wanted to love it the same. Book 2 does feel somewhat like filler or has book sag alot of telling and not showing Look & I'm also hesitant to read books where there is a significant amount of time with the love interests are separated, but the love story subplot remains in the Adventure&Mystery journey to get there.

I think book 1 is carrying the storyline for me and with my great love of that - I can overlook not much progression in this storyline and what ground the main characters gained.

Dual POV,Hidden Underworld,Romantasy is the Slowest burn, Greek Gods and Goddesses,Urban Fantasy main focus,Shifters, unique magic systems,Fated mates. Ground hog day trope ( its a thing & some people like that in their books)

When the next book arrives, I will read it and rethink this review.

This 2nd book in the series did not disappoint. It was a whirlwind of a story. It will make you fall in love with these characters so much more. By the end, I felt like I had been through a storm and was asking for more.

This book is full of chaos, missions, find yourself, hidden truths, secrets full of destruction, betrayals, love, and racing to the last second. The tension in this book is perfection. I was on the edge of my seat until the end of the book, and I still need the next like yesterday. Some characters may be redeemed. Some characters you'll fall more in love with. Some characters are new and you will want to wrap up into a big hug. And of course, some characters will rip your heart out or make you angry, but what's new when it comes to an excellent book?

Read book 1, The Forgotten Goddess, if you haven't. This series is one you don't want to sleep on.

This book is a fantastic book! I do wish there was more romance in this one, but I understand that was just not going to happen with story line doing what it was. The ending left me wondering what is going to happen next with the information that was released!

This Fantasy Romance is book two of the forgotten goddess series. This book is heavy on the plot, and light on the romance.
The romance is more of a heartbreaking, longing theme due to the circumstances the characters find themselves in.
This book is full of action, and adventure. It will keep you biting your nails in anticipation until the very last page.
The book moves at a quick pace that is situated in a very complex world that is written immaculately.
This book picks up where book one left off. It cannot be read as a stand alone due to this.
