Darn Cliffhanger Ending!!
Another great book from Peter North!! Lazarus and his buxom companions root out a gaggle of Sanguiana’s corrupted followers and we learn more about the subterranean spiders. Fun read, packed full of adventure. But…the cliffhanger at the end…now he needs to hustle up with the next book. More work!! Less sleep!! More work!! Less sleep!! More work!! Less sleep!!!

Oh Wow!!
Peter North is a master. He sets up all the elements for a cataclysmic battle, then follows through with an intricate, intense, satisfying conclusion. This is fantasy at its absolute best. For all who want a story of epic proportions, read the Blood Rites series. I can’t wait to read the next book (and the next…who knows?!). 5 stars, recommend to all.

Much better than last
This book resolved a lot of the concerns I had with the last book. MC and FLs progressed a lot, but together. The prospective changes seemed much better than previous book … much smoother and better flow, I think. Really enjoyed this book.
