Zoe Carr is screwed—not literally, she's still a virgin—but the university messed up her residence application and now she's basically homeless. When her brother finds out, his roommates offer her a spot in their house, rent-free, if she's willing to keep the house clean. What turns out to be a hot mess is made sweeter when one of the guys offers to give up his room so she's got her own bedroom.
It's her brother, so easy-peasy, right? Plus, living with a couple of hot, athletic- guys might help break her out of her shell. It's got to be win-win.
All is good until the guys go away for a tournament, and she decides that having the house to herself and doing a little self-care won't do any harm. That is, until her brother's best friend walks in. Turns out a captain can get sent home as punishment.
Now Zoe, nearly naked in the living room with candles burning, might be the hottest thing Ian Harper's ever seen. And his offer to help Zoe with the self-care might be the one thing she can't say no to.
Keeping it from her brother… that's a whole other story.
I've read other works by Lexi Times that I greatly enjoyed. This book, however, was filled with careless errors. References to wrong characters, incorrect pronouns, doubled words, and grammatical mistakes. Also, the dialogue wasn't even remotely realistic. While I did finish, I won't be reading the rest of the series.
Super cute book! I know it’s part of a series, but I thought it was a standalone within the series, so it was disappointing for it to end the way it did. Other than ending rather abruptly, it was a good short read :)
Read bc it was free! 🫠 I had problems with this story. Gonna sum it up bullet point style for cohesive sake. *so many errors *could never tell who was talking *not enough info to help us love our characters 👎🏻 *subplots were seriously lacking. *no major conflicts. I thought that James as a character was introduced to create conflict. Like maybe he would come on to Zoe and Ian would save her and Jack would tear into James then thank Ian. So then, Ian would be too guilty to pursue Zoe anymore bc he was protective of Zoe NOT his relationship with his best friend. *Why was Steve introduced??? He should have been fuel to make Ian jealous. But instead was a throw away character. *dialogue was not developed or realistic. *The ENDING. or lack of ending???? Who just ends a book in the middle of a conversation. Like the “cliff hanger” was that Ian met Alexis and it’s time for winter break??? *HOW is this a soccer romance when we didn’t even get to see them win the championship and Ian be completely DEVASTATED that he couldn’t celebrate with the one person he really wanted to. * there should have been a subplot that Zoe thinks Alexis might have a thing for Jack…. That’d be juicy.
This book could be something with the right editor! I wish the best to the author!

I came across this book and decided to give it a try. The storyline and characters were intriguing and I read it in one sitting. It does end in a cliffhanger so you will need to read the next book to find out what happens next. The secret relationship and what Zoe and Ian are hiding from everyone. They do get to know each other pretty well and have great chemistry together.
This book tackles real life experiences. Bother/sister,teammate/teammate and roommate/ roommate relationships. Plus how a wonderful man/woman relationship can build to true love.
Soso an ok story line but lots of errors from typos to wrong names and ends very abruptly I’m assuming to keep you on your toes for the next book in the series but not sure that it’s worth moving forward with them
Characters were great - they were well rounded, people who you could relate to..... however I was disappointed by the end to find out it was a 3 book plot arc..... Doesn't change the fact that the story was a gem though.
