Hermione is familiar with fighting: for respect, for attention, for justice. She’s even made a career of it; working on behalf of creatures and beings. But her battle against the Ministry’s marriage law is one she loses. Badly. And now, she has to contend with not only public derision and patriarchal politics, but her growing feelings for her government-mandated spouse.
Not going to rate fanfic anymore but I enjoyed this 🥰 HeyJude19 can do no wrong.
WHAT TO EXPECT: ✨ marriage law ✨ forced proximity / living together ✨ strangers to lovers ✨ canon past ✨ slow burn ✨ 3/5 🌶️ (praise, somnophilia) ✨ “good girl” and “my wife” ✨ HEA
very meh, had a lot of potential though. wish it was longer with more development between them + slower burn. also think their sexual relationship escalated so fast.
“Twenty-year-old Draco had written this letter. Not a man looking to court her, not one looking to win her favor. No impending marriage law had forced his hand here.
It staggers her then, the almighty wave kept at bay, and though she’d put up a good defense, Hermione lets herself surrender.
She inhales then exhales and loves him.”

I am here for a little forced marriage trope, and loooove how loyal and tender Draco was from the beginning. So thoughtful with things like adding an extra nightstand, emptying space in his closet, etc. Just was a cutie husband from the get go.
His messages through flowers killed me every time, such a tender way to share what he was thinking bc he was nervous that verbalizing would bring rejection.
Love that there was a tiny plot about her fight for Wolfsbane, and that we got to see moments of their undiluted happiness together.
While it was enemies to lovers I kind of feel like them actually getting together happened out of nowhere. I’m not complaining, just escalated quickly. (With extra steam lmao)
Overall I loved- a cute, HEA story that was an easy read.
Lucius sucks so bad, as always.
The rings were a tender touch.
The tiny toy dragon?? Bye!

Hell yeah I love a marriage law fic. This was so fun and adorable and felt true to canon Draco and hermione, a quick fun little dramione. Only no epilogue so 🤷🏼♀️ would have liked to see them after the law was null
The reformed gentleman Draco here is what I liked most about this fic. There's a few reference of "Remain Nameless" here that I really appreciate. I always liked the author's vision of how healthy relationships comes after hardship and not just a miracle solution
Love the forced marriage and proximity. How Draco was so patient with her but also didn’t let her be a prat at the same time. The flowers 💐 oh I loved the flowers and their meanings for words he couldn’t say! Definitely my favorite. Loved this Draco very much and Hermione too but she could be frustrating at times. The only thing I did t like was it felt rushed at the end, I needed more of after the marriage act ended and their life then. Overall ate it up!

One of my favourite versions of the marriage law tropes and Draco is a complete simp in this, which I also adore. Not my favourite version of Hermione but you can’t have everything
Someone else’s review said “Draco saying “wife”.” And yeah…..
Loved Draco’s use of flowers to communicate his thoughts and feelings to Hermione. This authors understanding of the HP universe and these characters is honestly unmatched. I loved this
if you need a quick draco/Hermione fanfic, this is your one. I love the marriage law trope (forced/arranged marriages is just so 🤭🫣) , and just how quickly the story developed like it was very short and sweet
DNF. It was okay. Writing constantly in the present was really annoying. I also felt like once they consummated their relationship it got kind of boring. It was just sex instead of a relationship building.
