Cursed to kill all he touches, the Night Prince lives in solitude until he's kidnapped by a goddess of war. Only the best bounty hunter in Ireland can save him before Morrigan turns him into her perfect weapon...
Killian knows his time is up. Whether Morrigan kills him or his curse does, he's been more than ready to die for centuries and just needs to wait it out. That is until a hunter turns up and makes a deal with him; she'll free him from Morrigan's prison if he willingly returns to Ireland to die at the hand of her mysterious client. At this point, he has nothing to lose, and anything is better than Morrigan.
Bron Ironwood comes from a family of hunters. Her ancestor almost killed the Night Prince centuries ago, and in turn, he promised to destroy the entire Ironwood line. If she manages to get Killian back to Ireland, not only will she be rich, she'll be protecting her sisters from his wrath forever. Two birds, one stone. What could possibly go wrong?
Neither one will be prepared for the mating bond that's determined to mess with all of their plans. Not only will they have to stay out of Morrigan's grasp, but they will also have to unite hunters and the creatures they are trained to hate if they have any hope of keeping Morrigan from destroying Ireland.
Alessa Thorn believes that all monsters and villains deserve their happy endings. She prefers her clothes black, eyeliner winged and books full of hot romance. She thinks heroes are boring, so her first series 'The Court of the Underworld' centers around dark gods, monsters and villains from her favorite Greek Myths.
Enemies to lovers. Fated mates. Celtic mythology. Great plot and side characters.
This series only gets better. Had to buy this omnibus because it’s one of my favorite comfort reads. Modern, sexy, magical realism, with a plethora of myth sprinkled in, strong female characters, and insane banter, have made Alessa Thorn, one of my favorite Fantasy Romance authors.
My favourite of the three cursed prince's story. A false enemy to mate story. And for the prince who wanted a mate, but has given up. A fitting story with a bad ass herione hunter, a godly facedown, and a bit of smut. We are introduced to a bunch of new characters, the Thornwoods, and given a taste of their personalities enough to like them more than a filling character. 3.6 stars
This was my favorite out of the Fated Mates Trilogy!! Killian's curse makes him kill whoever touches him, so when his intended mate comes along, she is the first person he's been able to touch in over 1500 years. The plot was so interesting, I couldn't put this one down! I'm so sad there are only three of these books because I have loved these super quick reads. I'll miss these characters❤️
The second and third book of this series were great. The first one isn’t as well done but the rest of the series makes it worth it. Loved the adorable ETL vibe in this one. Excited for the spin off series
The story had potential that wasn't used. The start was good but it got downhill fast with the one dimensional characters that didn't show any development, the flat insta-love/inst-lust romance, the boring storyline that didn't lead anywhere, the lack of tension and yearning. The sex scenes came too early and were too many and weren't even spicy to make up for it. I pushed through it and was disappointed that that big potential with Killian being cursed, touch-starved for 1500 years, Bron having dreamt about him as a child, the bargains, etc wasn't used.
"No one holds a grudge like a goddess. A goddess mostly forgotten by the humans that once worshipped her takes that kind of insult personally."
Killian is the only one of his brothers who has craved the idea of a mate. His parents' love was magical, something he adored and coveted. But it has always slipped his grasp and as happy as he is for his brothers, he can't deny that he has lost all hope for surviving his curse. It's progressed too far and now he is rotting away in a cell, thanks for a mean ass goddess.
Bron is focused on rescuing the night prince, if only to then sell him to whoever is paying for his head. The Ironwoods will never trust the fae and Bron, being the oldest, has always stayed focus on the mission. But Killian is far from what she expected. He is a trickster, a flirt, and gets underneath her skin faster than anyone she has ever known before. But he wants her and even Bron isn't strong enough to deny him. _________________________________________________
Okay from the moment I met Killian in the first book, I was excited for this. He is literally the sex prince, the flirt and is so god damn lovable. He is never too serious, always goofing around. Except when it comes to Bron. That's the only time I see him lose his shit and become serious.
Killian's curse is that anyone who touches him instantly dies. Which is cruel for the prince who loves affection the most. Its been years since he has been touched, including by his own brothers. Bron can touch him though, making it clear from chapter one that she is his mate. So he literally makes a bargain with her, when she is in danger, to save her if she will sleep with him. Because she is his only option to getting laid, lololol.
Which was so good. Because Bron doesn't lack confidence. I'm not surprised that the author wrote his mate to be more serious and kind of a "stick in the mud" personality. She loosens up the more she is around him. But I did like her. She was very different from Elise and Freya. She was sassy like them but Bron is basically a kickass warrior.
I loved the moment it was revealed that it was his brothers who paid the Ironwoods to rescue him. I loved it even more when Bron got upset with Killian embracing Elise and Freya. I absolutely love his relationship with his new sisters. It is so cute. . . . "I don't care if you are having an emotional crisis because a super-hot fae wants to be your fuck buddy for life. Boohoo, however will you cope with a gorgeous male worshipping your mean brown ass? Pity party over, now get moving." . . . This books sets up the Ironwood series. The Fae Universe was all about the princes finding their mates and breaking their curses. But this one introduces quite a few new people that all will matter. Morrigan is the enemy here, she desires to have Killian who can help her encase the world in darkness. But she has three generals that become the focus of the Ironwood series. But you also meet Charlotte and Imogen, Bron's sisters who are fucking great.
We are also introduced to the elves, shifters, gods, more hunters, magic users, dragons. I mean, a ton.
I will say the last part of the book was okay to me. I think Bron and Killian became so obsessive and protective of the other it was a little cringy for me. Plus their happily ever after never really seemed jeopardized. It felt like their story was already over and we just needed to set everything else up. Which was true. However, their romance/bedroom scenes were quite lovely. Involving beautiful dark wings. Yum.
Definitely pick this series up. It was so good. Sure, I'm kind of more into permanent villains but I can't help but love these fae princes. And if you enjoy these ones even just a little, then just wait until you meet Reeve and Arawan...

🇺🇸 I feel like such a cranky old woman right now! While I initially enjoyed the enemies-to-lovers dynamic in Wings of the Night Prince, it quickly became repetitive and lost its charm.
The tension that sparked interest at the beginning faded into a predictable routine that made the story drag. I found myself wishing for a bit more complexity and development in both the characters and their interactions.
What started as an intriguing premise turned into a somewhat dull read for me, which is disappointing given the potential the story had. I wanted to love it, but unfortunately, I ended up just feeling bored.

I read the first two instalments of this series late last year but didn't get straight into book 3. There was no particular reason for that. I adored the first two but wanted to keep the final book for a special occasion.
Well the special occasion hit yesterday when I had some not so great news and felt really down. I knew Alessa's writing would cheer me up and boy did it ever.
I loved Kian, Elise, Bayn and Freya's stories a lot. So much so that I wasn't sure I was going to connect with Killian and Bron in the same way. Silly rabbit I was. Bron is everything! Not only does Alessa know how to write FMCs and very lovable and grey MMCs, she is damn good at writing side characters and found family themes.
It wasn't only that I obsessed over Killian & Bron's journey, but I am now desperate for more Ironwood stories! Her sisters added such a depth to the series that I didn't even know it needed!
Now going to continue on my Alessa Thorn journey with her other books.
I love all of the books in this series, but this one in particular is a special favorite of mine. The enemies-to-lovers tension, Killian being Killian, the high stakes, the excellent pacing, Bron being an absolute badass... what isn't there to love?!
Such a great book.
I also loved that it didn't take the MMC being near death for the FMC to accept the mating bond. That was a nice change of pace... and made the climax that much more fantastic.
Oh - and that chemistry and grumpy/sunshine sexual tension between Killian and Bron? *chefs kiss*
Morrigan was an entertaining villain - single-minded, unhinged, and just a little rapey (like, yikes, girl. He's not into you. Just get over it, omg) - but what I'm REALLY looking forward to is Arawan and Imogen. I still need to read Alessa's Ironwood spin-off series, but the little nuggets and foreshadowing involving those two? I'm ready for Daddy Death.
TL;DR - if you love fantasy romance and quick, fast-paced reads, you seriously need to check out these books!
Dark gods spare me! Bron, apparently, is not the only one that has a wing fetish. Killian is HOT!
This is my favorite of the three in this series. It's also the darkest in terms of action and violence. Just like in Heart of the Winter Prince, the writing continues to improve. Plot and pacing are great. Characters are top tier. Can't say enough good things about how delicious Killian is. And Bron is such a badass! Their banter was so good: just the right amount of spice and humor. And the set up in the end for the spin-off series for the Ironwoods had me smiling ( I'm looking at you Arawan, God of the Dead).
I think Alessa Thorn has become a new favorite writer for me. I really enjoyed this series. It was right up my alley in terms of fae-centered stories, and I'm going to continue reading what she has out.
The 3rd book in the series was like the other books full of fae magic and mythical powers.
Yes, it's just like I thought it would be. Killian is my favourite of the 3 fae brothers. The night prince is a interesting, charismatic and funny character.
Kilian's curse is, in my opinion, the worst of all the brothers. He can't touch anyone he doesn't want to kill. Contact with his skin is lethal to anyone, whether human or other creatures.
1500 years without direct contact with others has not only changed his hope of breaking the curse, but also his mental state.
Until he comes into contact with Bron, an angry hunter who seems to be the only one immune to his deadly curse. The only problem is she hates him and sees him as her archenemy and wants his dead.
This enemies-to-lovers or enemies-to-mates short novel (199 pages) is an action-packed, exciting and funny story. After the 3rd book of this author I'm a fun of her sarcastic humor and funny banter between the characters.
PHEW!! Alessa Thorn is 3 for 3 with this series. The second book is still my favorite but this one is right behind it!
What I loved 🪶the FMC!!! Such a BAMF and saves the MMC on more than one occasion 🪶a TRUE enemies to lovers - like, she literally wants to murder him. 🪶 30 year old FMC 🪶 the bargain 👀 🪶the dreams 👀 🪶 the spice🌶️ AND a good plot 🪶 bringing in characters from the first two books
Why not 5 stars? 🌘 a little predictable 🌘 the MMC revealed two very big declarations because of his temper
CW - violence and death - mention of memory of infanticide (same as in the previous books) - mention of death of parents - spicy scenes
This one was definitely my favorite! Bron is awesome and Killian is such a proud mate!! He has no issues with her being strong and taking charge! Now I want to read more about the Ironwood sisters!
These are super short books and can be read in a few hours.

If you like fantasy-romance about fae men with wings, you'll love this! I love Killian's character so much. He deserves all the love and happiness. He wants to find his mate, not to end the curse, but because he wants to find love like his parents had. Killian deserves to be an ultimate book-boyfriend for giving Bron's little sister the ability to communicate with her dog. It's the cutest thing.
Bron is a fantastic FMC with a wing king, so she is all of us. Her interactions with her sisters are absolutely fantastic and really show who she is deep-down. Despite being from a family of hunters who has trained as an assassin her whole life, she's kept all of her humanity and sense of morality.
