What Lies Between You and The Good Life?

There’s a myth that the entrepreneur can flourish in either life or business. The “Lie of the Either/Or” claims you cannot achieve both. The sad reality is that many entrepreneurs fall victim to this lie, believing the only way to succeed is to suffer.
Author Aaron Marcum can relate. In his past entrepreneurial journey, he found himself borrowing $100 to attend a family reunion and sleeping under a desk, to maintain the hustle. Married with six kids, he’d pop home for a quick dinner and dash back to the office to work until the early morning. Overwhelmed and exhausted, his body and brain told him something had to change.
Life and business transformed for Aaron when he discovered the field of positive psychology and later developed these eight laws designed to help entrepreneurs accelerate financial freedom while creating the good life.Your guiding truths illuminate your way.You believe in creating a better way and a bigger world. What you feel called to create fuels your staying power. The strength of your relationships often mirrors the success of your business.Your future is brighter than what you can see and feel.Ultimate performance flows from your unconscious choices. The energy you carry, carries you.The good life you desire is your responsibility to create.
Today Aaron helps humbly confident entrepreneurs transform their personal and professional lives, through his powerful Breakaway Accelerator Program, Keynotes, and Breakaway workshops.

It’s time to flourish - starting today.

Creating the Good Life as an Entrepreneur

Author Aaron Marcum gained his gift for innovative business thinking through his University of Pennsylvania studies in Positive Psychology with the highly esteemed Dr. Martin Seligman, creator of PERMA (Positive, Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Achievement), as well as through his own entrepreneurial successes and his significant Eight EntreThrive Laws, EntreClarity Guide and breakawayaccelerator.com assistance for in-home care founders.

Marcum’s warmly informative manner of writing invites the discussion of how entrepreneurial success (‘room at the top’) does not negate the possibility of a happy ‘out of the office’ life. His explanations of his own career, accompanied by anecdotes from his passage of discovery, make the incorporation and growth using his EntreThrive Laws easily accessible. Under his guidance in this excellent book, those stepping toward the entrepreneur status can learn how to manage the equally significant steps toward a life of personal fulfillment. Yes, we can - and deserve to – have both! Very highly recommended.

The author of this book once thought that he could only achieve success in his business or personal life, but not both. He felt that was what it was to be an entrepreneur, and he just had to accept it. However, when he learned about the power of positive psychology, he was able to remake his entire existence from the ground up. He learned that through a change in attitude and a thoughtful reconstruction of his routine, he really could have it all, both a meaningful family life and a successful company. Now, you can do the same.

The author teaches you through a set of simple, easy-to-understand lessons what you can do to dominate in the business arena while still fulfilling your commitments to those you love. Now, you no longer have to sacrifice success in business for a rich and rewarding family life, and vice versa.

An excellent tool
“EntreThrive” is a wake-up call for entrepreneurs since it puts forward some truths and myths about business. Aaron Marcum has put into words his own, both personal and professional, experiences as well as the theories that back up his ideas; he applied a positive psychology in his life and he wants to teach the importance of it.
This read comprises a set of 8 laws that Aaron followed to become a successful businessman. So, in each chapter he shows, in a practical and neat way, every law he applied in his own business. I found it really interesting.
It’s a well-written, clear guide that provides the tools to transform and mould your business and your life. It also helps to accomplish your goals and particularly, to live a good life - the one that you've always wished for. Without a doubt, it's a highly recommended book.

Personally, “EntreThrive” has been avery good read. Before reading it, I felt trapped in a spiral of constant work, always feeling overwhelmed and without time to enjoy myself with my family. Author Marcum, in addition to sharing his transformation story, offers easy-to-implement tools to balance professional and personal lives. Thanks to his guidance, I've learned how to establish healthy boundaries and focus on my well-being and personal relationships without sacrificing my career success.
I particularly appreciated the author's narrative style in the book. His tone is close and empathetic, which makes reading enjoyable and motivating. I recommend this essential tool for any entrepreneur or professional who feels trapped in the endless cycle of work and burnout. A book that has had a great positive impact on me.

A book with untraditional methodologies.

Since we were little, we were taught to choose between one thing or the other because having everything at the same time was not possible. Thanks to that thinking is that as adults we always believe that either you had a family life or a work life but we were never taught to reconcile between one and the other.
The author proposes in this ingenious book some fragments of his breakaway methodology through which he proposes the positive psychology that transforms your mind and your reality.
The book is very well thought out. It proposes different methodologies to the traditional ones, besides being a very simple text to understand, with clear examples and experiences that serve you to take as a guide. I recommend you read this incredible text!

The necessary balance

I used to be like Aaron, living with my head completely overwhelmed, thinking about what to come up with so that my business could grow. As an entrepreneur, my dedication to work made me forget about other important aspects of my life, my relationships, my family and even treat myself.

This book has made me understand that success does not always have to be tied to killing yourself or giving 100% of your life to your work or your business, but it is precisely about using your mind in the best way to balance all those aspects.

This book is a gem, or at least for me it is. It made me reflect on many aspects, for example the fact of blaming my situation to external factors such as the economy or the unresponsiveness of others, NO, the book does not teach to take responsibility and change the negative chip that we carry inside.

Starting out as the typical burned-out entrepreneur who worked non-stop and had no family life, Marcum eventually realised that he had to make changes. In this book, he teaches the principles that helped empower his entrepreneurial journey and build a satisfying personal life at the same time. This book focuses on positive psychology techniques and on understanding that your beliefs and personal relationships often mirror your business success. I am giving this book five out of five stars.

"EntreThrive" by Aaron Marcum offers a genuine and practical approach to achieving a balance between work and personal life. The self-exploratory questions were very useful to me because they invite deep reflection, allowing one to transform their perception and goals. His sincerity in sharing his mistakes shows us that growth is a continuous process and that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can progress. Personally, I feel inspired to reevaluate my own goals and methods, seeking a healthier harmony between my professional ambitions and personal well-being. The clarity and balance he proposes are essential to avoid feeling consumed by work. A great and insightful read

Author Aaron Marcum has really inspired and taught me some very valuable and interesting knowledge in this wonderful book.
The author presents in this great guide 8 laws to have great balance in your life and creating a new and amazing path for yourself. A book filled with important keys like entrepreneurial clarity which he refers as entreclarity, as well as entreconnections, entrefaith, and entrehabits as well as more key factors that are applicable in a business, as an entrepreneur but also in your personal life.
I highly recommend this read as it is not only focused on professional growth, but personal and intellectual growth. This book will definitely help anyone who reads it in all aspects of life.

Loved this one!

I consider this to be a very comprehensive guide for entrepreneurs. It manages to mention both, personal anecdotes and practical advice. I liked that the book had very well structured chapters. Each of them focuses on a specific entrepreneurial law. Marcum’s writing style is motivational and accessible. This made complex concepts very easy to understand. I think the core message emphasizes achieving a holistic, fulfilling entrepreneurial life. And I highly appreciate that. It is not just all about the money. The book inspired and evoked a great deal of hope in me. Now I feel more encouraged to persevere through my personal challenges. I would say that this book is highly useful for entrepreneurs, who want to also grow personally.

A Catapult to personal success

This book is simply what any entrepreneur but even any worker needs. As an employee myself but also an entrepreneur, I must say that this book has opened my eyes. It teaches us and stresses the importance of learning to have a balance through positive psychology so that our idea of success is not only tied to hard work and digging. People who achieve well-being in the different spheres of life are the ones who, in many cases, end up achieving success.

I must thank Marcum, because I have just come from some exhausting months at work that have not allowed me to balance my most important spheres. Thanks to his 7 teachings, I really feel different.

This book makes it promising for me to get into putting up business rather than working for someone else. I have always thought my life would have been sacrificed if I had to go and set up my little business or even my passion to be a restaurant owner, and this book tries to persuade me otherwise. Those reflection questions at the end of the chapters are highly motivating, especially the part about breakaways to ensure you still love what you do. I need to find a way to find that harmonious passion rather than the obsessive one, as the latter is a dangerous path to burnout. I have recently picked up a biking habit and some other outdoor activities for relaxation, so I think I am on track to a work-life balance now. I need to find that passion, and I am all set.

Good

This is a good book with lots of good tips and advice for a budding entrepreneur. The author includes some personal experience in this book, which I appreciated. I particularly liked the segment on meditation. Personally, I had a hard time grasping all the different concepts in the chapters, and I feel like it was my brain rejecting all the made-up terms starting with "entre" (entregrit, entrecreate, etc). I think that was just me though. The lessons and advice are solid, and the author mentions his faith and Christianity but doesn't hit the reader over the head with it. Overall, this is a fine book to help you get started in the world of entrepreneurship.

Finding balance is too complicated, and I am referring to any aspect of life. Many times, we end up making superhuman efforts to keep our family, work and money afloat.
This book is totally thought-provoking from beginning to end and although it’s orientated to business people, any type of reader will enjoy it and learn to manage their time more skillfully. This book is such an inspiration! I had the opportunity to read it and it helped me change my perspective on life but more importantly, it opened up a new possibility for me to learn how to treat myself; what you think, you create so you must present yourself to the world in a way that makes you feel good. Aaron's 8 laws are a great way to start having balance in your life and create a unique path for you. The examples he provides are great for clarifying what he talks about and sharing his mistakes, which is great to realize we all make them and it is important not to let those things get you down. I feel so much better after reading this book and it's one I'll keep coming back to! Solid.

The book “EntreThrive” addresses a common myth in the business world: the belief that you cannot be successful in business and in your personal life simultaneously. The most interesting part of the book is that, through his own experience, the author shows how he fell into the trap of this myth, sacrificing his life to grow in business.
What I enjoyed most and what this book has taught me is to discover the positive psychology to control my own mind and implement the eight laws to promote balance between life and business.
I have been able to quickly achieve financial freedom and a fulfilling life by following these laws. I highly recommend this book, it's very engaging and interesting.

Great!

Finding a good balance between work and personal life is not an easy task, especially for entrepreneurs because they don’t have specific work hours and they often take it to their homes.
Aaron Marcum is the author of EntreThrive, a book for entrepreneurs in which he shares advice and “laws” to develop a good life while gaining financial freedom. The good thing about these tips is that they are based on his own experience and learning.
I liked it not only because it has interesting information, but it can also be a great guide and a tool to apply daily. Although I am not an entrepreneur, I found useful tips for my life. 5 stars!

Marcum’s book talks about how entrepreneurs don’t need to choose between their work and personal life, he talks about that in order to be successful entrepreneurs, we need to sacrifice everything to have it.
By sharing his own journey and struggles, he shows how readers' life could look like if choosing that belief or going for the positive psychology.
I like that besides sharing his 8 principles to help everyone reach their potential, he also shares tools and a lot of strategies to apply to start getting control of the journey.
Overall, an easy to read book full of very good information for entrepreneurs who are feeling a bit overwhelmed.

EntreThrive is a book that teaches how to achieve a healthy work-life balance and thrive as an entrepreneur without neglecting family and friends. Aaron Marcus shares his own path and the changes he had to make to regain control over his life, putting together 8 considerations applicable to everyone.

I find some of the teachings helpful, others don´t apply to my particular case, but overall, it was an insightful read. I think this book emphasizes the truly important aspects of life, creating a balance that tends to be difficult to achieve or even maintain for longer periods.

Destined for the entrepreneur living an unhealthy life, and who wants to make the effort to change that.

Just Try it!

This book is the perfect manual for all those who want to dare to become entrepreneurs and for those who have already done so. The way Marcum presents the keys to be an entrepreneur is unique. He does not rely on the typical rules but always invites the reader to dare to do things differently and the constant and important invitation to never lose faith and never stop believing. In chapter 5 I wanted time to stand still, "your future is brighter than what you can see and feel" is a chapter that simply everyone should read! It is an amazing book and I would love to see a second volume!

I believe that all of us, whether we are workers or entrepreneurs, have come to think that we will never be able to find the balance between our personal life and our work. In this book, you will find the formula to achieve it. The author's story is very moving, going from having a very hard life where he only prioritized work, had no time for his family and had a truly sad life, but his life came to positive psychology and with the help of this, I made some laws that helped me find financial freedom without losing the most important thing that is my core and my people. It is an incredible book that will improve your life and will change remarkably how your day to day life develops.

I was waiting for this book to come into my life. As an entrepreneur, it is difficult for me to understand how to reach a point of financial freedom and personal fulfillment, mainly because there are many of the business principles that I do not understand, but the author has helped me understand it in a very comfortable way, and if it was for me, it will be for everyone.
