A rogue attack changed Tyson's life forever. Already frustrated at not being publicly acknowledged as the rightful heir to the Steel Pack, his anger grows when he's wounded in battle and left behind. Saved by vampires but unable to return to what's left of his family, he's wandered for years, plotting his revenge. The darkness inside him eats away at his soul as he plans how to get his revenge, reclaim his pack and find the mate he's been searching for since a chance encounter right before the attack. But when the opportunity he's been waiting for comes along, and he can't do all three, which will he choose? Revenge against the half-brother that stole his life or the woman who makes him want to be a better man?
A paranormal romance with wolf shifters, a vampire hybrid hellbent on revenge, hot and steamy fated mates, and a sibling rivalry that could destroy them all.
Reece is a steamy paranormal romance author writing wickedly wild romance. She is currently working on the shifter romance series, The Shifters of Grey Ridge and the Steel Pack Alphas.
She loves creating steamy stories about hot, growly alpha men and the women who love and torment them.
She writes for people just like her who love a little light-hearted fun with their naughty heroes and edge-of-your-seat storylines.
An other great book by this author! It flew by so fast! I really liked that Tyson got to redeem himself and that Mandy gets her HEA, she really deserved it. I could have read a bit more about their relationship, get to feel their chemistry, what they thought … it felt a little on the surface more than usual. And I definitely would have liked to know a little bit more about the brothers’ relationship, but the story was great and it opens the door to a future that I would love to read about. The boys’ stories need to be told and should be really interesting!

I enjoyed this book. I think it did a good job of redeeming a character that was portrayed to be a villain. Was it the best redemption arc ever? No but it wasn't terrible. It did have a vibe he's fixed cause he's in love which is one way to deliver a redemption arc. Not my favorite way obviously cause it has "a hot man will fix my problems" vibes. Overall, Mandy and Tyson's relationship was interesting to see develop especially with the dual POV cause they both made such incorrect assumptions about the other. It was honestly a little funny cause it would be Tyson assuming something about Mandy's feelings based on the way she was acting and then it would immediately cut to Mandy having the exact opposite feelings or vice versa. Overall, a good book and I can see the author's writing and world-building develop more as she has continued to write both series.
Tyson is the oldest brother of Blake Steel. Tyson has been confused for a very long time and he thinks that he deserves to have the pack that Blake has. He's misguided. He's been angry for so long. He's not sure which end is up, he just knows there needs to be justice. He still has nightmares after all this time. There was an attack on the Steel territory, and a lot of pack members were killed. Tyson almost died that day, and apparently a pack of young vampires changed his life after he was bitten. They bit him and then left him alone. With no guidance he had to learn on his own. A huge struggle since he also had to deal with the internal wolf that is a part of him. Before this happened, he had met a young lady who was running for her life, and changed her life forever. Killing her mate, After witnessing his verbal attacks and beatings upon her body. His mate. She should be cherished and loved. He's not worthy of her. Once he kills him, it broke the mate bond completely. He allowed her to run far away, knowing the pain will stop her running. He sniffed the air, picking up the fact, she was his mate!! He had no idea of her name, or how to even find her now. The search was about to begin.
I have been looking forward to this story since Tyson was first introduced, I am a vampire girl after all and yet again Barden did not disappoint, bashful misses need not apply....I do hope that this is not the last we see of Tyson and Mandy. I also hope we hear more from the boys in later story's as I can't wait to hear what antics they get themselves up to. I enjoyed the electrified tension between Mandy and Tyson and of the course the inevitable mating had Barden's usual flair. In typical comedic fashion if only Tyson had bothered to ask her why she was blocking her door in the beginning maybe he wouldn't have had to suffer as long as he did. But men never think to ask.
....and now I must wait until the next book......oh the mindless torture.....
This is book nine in the series and I am reading all the books. This book focuses on Tyson and how he has lived through the past sixteen years with his turbulent history. There is Mandy, also, who has suffered abuse at the hands of her supposed mate Lee. His father the Alpha and Lee enlisted their friends in the awful treatment of Mandy. The scene where Tyson helps Mandy escape was so good; I feel like that moment ensured that Tyson did not turn totally dark and evil, because he knew that Mandy and her baby was out there safe. Bringing Tyson and Mandy together is a wonderful story. These two deserve a second chance at life and love. There is a happy ending. Read On!
Despite skipping the second book this was easy to follow. From reviews of book two I figured I'd missed a bit going into this one but it was easy enough to follow considering it mostly centers around Tyson and Mandy and her past which was shown early in the book.
Overall it was an interesting read. Maybe a little shallow in areas that had plenty of potential to be deeper and more fulfilling.
Tyson was sooo fascinating and I wish we had had more insight regarding his transition into a hybrid after nearly dying other than the handful of references that were given. If anything disappointed me it was that. And maybe the epilogue not being what I hoped it'd be. 🤷🏻♀️😂
Mandy has no other way but to leave with Tyson, Blake's evil hybrid brother at the end of The Hunt, protecting her son Noah and hiding from the past that haunts her.
Soon she finds out the real reason behind her attraction and more about Tyson's vampire side and what truly happened to him. Tentatively she grows closer to him, as Tyson's plan unfolds.
I would have liked to see more of their relationship. Their backstories are so interesting and with Tyson’s dark side there is definitely more to explore.
Tyson & Mandy I absolutely love Tyson. He was a great MMC. Mandy was OK. She was a strong mother, but a doubtful mate. I would have liked them to have more relationship building in the way of conversation and truth telling and sharing the plans. She doubted him at every turn. I would also like to have seen a better reconciliation and rebuilding of a brother relationship with Blake. There was very little of her son in this book and I think he should’ve been more incorporated into the story and building a relationship with Tyson.
I 100% enjoyed this book. I was completely immersed in how Tyson and Mandy came to meet. Tyson wasn’t who you thought he would be and neither was Mandy. I really liked that as the story wasn’t predictable. Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. I was sad to get to the end and in fact I was so engrossed that I would have been more than happy to binge-read and continue straight in the next book, if I could and continue reading about this world that Reece has created!
This series has been an awesome ride with Tyson and Mandy's story topping it off beautifully. They have a complex beginning starting way back and finally Tyson's stalking/search has paid off. He's found her. Mandy, is a mix of emotions and sometimes I wanted to just give her shoulder's a shake! I did love the chemistry between these two and made the book engaging to read. Hopefully we will see them again through other books at some point. I'd love to see how things are with them in the future.
Ugh! Loved this. This is what the story line was building up towards. I enjoyed the flash back, and Come on let's go now knowing how Mandy escaped and how Tyson fit into it all. How he looked like the bad guy, well ok he did say and do some bad things, but it was all part of the plan to finally get his mate and to give her what she deserved.
I loved Tyson and Mandy, Noah, seeing Blake and Zoe. Also Lucien & Seth? And how sweet and protective they were.
Wowzers, it took me a hot minute to get through this one. All the other books in this series I devoured so quickly. For some reason starting out I had a hard time getting into this one. I’m not sure why I struggled like I did but I really did. The storyline was good and everything kept me interested when I was reading it. Maybe I just read all the other books prior and was burnt out so that’s why I was having a her time getting through them?

This was such a good story! All the twist and turns! The cloaks and daggers! The plot twist! The spice! I truly love this story. Tyson ended up being one of my favorite characters of the whole series. And Mandy is just amazing and I love her so so much. And I love the community in the family in the story the whole family even the boys that Tyson took in and loved is his own. I just can’t get enough of the story.
A quick and easy read. I loved getting the next chapter in Tyson’s story. I’m always a fan of a lovable villain and was happy to see him get his mate back. The story was cute, easy to follow, and filled in any questions you could have about what happened to Mandy and Tyson in the past. The only thing I can say now is I can’t wait to hear what happens with the 3 boys.

Seriously Tyson is like onion with all of his layers and I absolutely loved him in this book. I do recommend reading the bonus chapter it kinda feels like there is more coming from Nathan. This book had me frustrated and then laughing. Honestly I buzzed right through it, I enjoyed it that much.
Tyson has a good redemption arc and is really sweet; Mandy is strong and perfect for him. I also liked that the boys fit immediately so well with each other: they were robbed of 16 years together but when they finally find their way back to each other her boy, his boys and the two of them just fit perfectly together
Was there no editor for this book? My goodness, the amount of misspellings, missing words and grammatical errors throughout this was astonishing. None of the other books in these interconnected series were this poorly edited. I enjoyed all of these books in the series, but it was a jarring read to get through this one with all those ridiculous errors.
What I liked: 1. Vampire wolf hybrid 2. Mother who has put her child first 3. Zoe and Blake going strong 4. Teens wolf and vampire getting along as best friends 5. Super hot intimate scenes with a couple who have been kept apart for 16 years 6. Continuity of the 2 series combined.
Once again, I am so glad I found this author and the Alpha Steel series that goes with the shifters of Grey ridge. I love all the stories that entwine with each other. I also love we get even more snibets of smaller stories you would want to know!!
Amazing read with fantastic characters whose story pulls all the punches with emotion, action, twists, pasts faced, and sizzling chemistry for these mates. Can't wait for more.
Great book I just hope that there is another one that tells us what happens with the alpha trainer and how the new Luna does,,,, Really don't want to be off hanging like others writer's have done.
Enjoyed this. Was hot & steamy! Great to see all the pieces fall into place. Over all I’m happy to see Tyson wasn’t the Villain he was made to be. He had a softness to him only reserved for his mate.
I love these books! The world she's created with all the spin offs and the Grey Ridge series is so well crafted. I would love to see these turned into a tv series. Until that happens, I will keep rereading her books and getting lost in their fascinating world.
Wow! Just wow! I really loved this book. You can’t beat being taken by surprise and the plot twists were delicious. Could easily read more about the MMC and FMC and the Steal Pack Alphas in general. Highly recommend.
This book is perfect. It's everything I could have asked for, for them! I cannot wait to see what's in store next!!! Definitely need the boys stories!!
