Books A Very Bossy Christmas“Sweetheart, I know exactly how to handle you.”Those eight little words whispered in my ear by my boss were my undoing. And what we did after he said them, most definitely landed me on Santa’s naughty list.
If there’s one man who can suck all the joy out of Christmas—it’s my boss, Damon Wells.I should have known when fifteen minutes into our first interview, he told me that nothing about me stood out from the fifty other applicants.
Yet somehow, I’m sitting shotgun in his fancy sports car on the way to my family’s house for the week.
He wasn’t supposed to pretend to be anything. He absolutely wasn’t supposed to stick his tongue down my throat when he promoted himself to fiancé in front of my entire family. And I sure as hell wasn’t supposed to enjoy it.
Suddenly, our fake little fairytale is starting to feel too real when Damon slides my grandmother’s diamond ring on my finger.
All I want for Christmas this year?To forget just how good my boss is in the bedroom before my heart starts to get other ideas.
Dashing Mr. Snow“Maybe we can be a little naughty. You want to be naughty for me, right?”
The last thing I expected to get for Christmas was being dumped by my boyfriend—after all, I’m always on Santa’s good list. But walking in on my naked boss and seeing his candy cane was an even BIGGER holiday surprise—one that has me headed straight for a lump of coal this year.
Alex Snow, the billionaire CEO of Snow Communications and the only living heir to his family's fortune, has a reputation for being intimidating.
So imagine his delight when I stumble into what I think is his home office with a contract in hand just as he emerges from the shower.
What I thought would certainly end my career at his company has suddenly catapulted us into an unlikely friendship. One that has me spilling all my secrets one drunken night when we end up stuck in an elevator. He pushes my limits, making demands of my body that have me begging to stay on the naughty list.
Suddenly, my heart and my head are in an all-out war.
One that has me questioning if my broken heart still pines for my ex, if this is just a game of forbidden lust, or if I'm already in love with my boss, the Dashing Mr. Snow.
Naughty or NiceDear Santa, I know I’m supposed to be nice, but this year, I need to be really naughty.Oh, and I need a BIG favor—Carson Wells, in nothing but a big pretty bow under my Christmas tree.Xoxo, Felicity
Look, I’m desperate okay.I’ve been the kid sister, sidekick, and friend zone queen since I was seven years old, but this year, that all changes.
Alexis Winter is a contemporary romance author who loves to share her steamy stories with the world. She specializes in sexy billionaires, cocky alphas, brooding bad boys and the women they love.
If you love to curl up with a good romance book you will certainly enjoy her work. Whether it's a story about an innocent young woman learning about the world or a sassy and fierce heroine who knows what she wants you're sure to enjoy the happily ever afters she provides.
When Alexis isn't writing away furiously, you can find her exploring the Rocky Mountains, traveling, enjoying a glass of wine or petting a cat.
I loved the first 2. I love grumpy bosses. I can't get enough of them... Plus these two bosses in the first two stories were grumpy but awesome. They were lonely and on the outside hard and crunchy but on the inside oh they were gooey and sweet.
Story 3 didn't feel the same. Childhood bff. Small age gap. She's loved him since she was 7. He's protected her every since she befriended him when he was new & alone and sad. Years later they get a chance to be together and yada yada yada, lack of communication-when they have always had great communication skills, and some misunderstandings after they finally hook up. And there is drama halfway thru until the end. Lots of flashbacks, maybe more flashbacks than present time..I found myself skimming thru to get to the HEA to be done.
A Very Bossy Christmas: Kate's day starts off badly when her car won’t start after picking up coffee and pastries for her boss' important meeting. She eventually grabs the box of carbs and a coffee urn and takes a taxi to the office. She manages to spill most of the coffee on herself before making it to the conference room. Her car has been towed by the time she returns to where it had been parked and she’s splashed with roadside slush to add to her woes.
She returns to work, is criticized for her appearance by her boss and borrows an ugly and ill-fitting outfit from a co-worker. Unable to get her car released she finally unloads on her boss. We discover that he’s been crushing on her since their first meeting so he has acted like the world’s biggest ass to maintain a professional work environment.
Feeling guilty, he offers to drive her to her family home for Christmas and pretend to be her boyfriend when he finds out that her cheating ex-boyfriend and his fiancée are welcomed into her family’s festivities. Things go from bad to worse during their stay with occasional glimpses of what they could be like as a couple. He pretty much destroys any progress they’ve made before returning to Chicago.
The man knows how to grovel and confesses the agony that Christmas causes him. Kate is left to decide if their fake relationship is worth salvaging ino a genuine one.
Dashing Mr. Snow: Almost immediately there are commonalities between this story and A Very Bossy Christmas. Alex Frost is the billionaire owner of the company where Sadie is employed. He becomes hyper aware of her at employee orientation. She works apart from him and two years pass with hardly any interaction until they are stuck together in an elevator and share a bottle of spiced rum.
Just like Kate, Sadie has three besties, the difference being these three and her family have always disliked her cheating ex. The four friends meet for their annual holiday bar crawl. She had informed Alex about this outing during the elevator interlude and is shocked when he shows up. He also reminds her that she had invited him to spend Christmas with her family.
Alex seems to be genuinely the nicest and most considerate guy you could ever meet. It’s just my personal history but so much of what he tells Sadie made me squirm because it's exactly like what a guy I met would say. He had me and my friends convinced that I was “the one.” That was until I was ghosted for no apparent reason. Anyway, I’m very happy that Alex was the real deal and that he and Sadie get their HEA.
Early in the story it was explained that Alex’s so-called friends had been users and hanger ons but it still seems unusual that he would not have kept in touch with someone from school or made friends with a business associate.
Naughty or Nice: No boss/employee relationship here. Felicity and Carson meet as children when his family moves in next door. He’s 10 and she’s 7 and since there are no other children nearby, they're pretty much forced to spend time together. Once puberty hits she becomes obsessed with him and makes several attempts to catch his eye. Unbeknownst to her, she has always captured his attention but he doesn’t follow through for several reasons. He comes home for a visit after she graduates college and they finally succumb to mutual lust. She comes unglued when he tells her he loves her because she thinks it’s only because they slept together. Emotions are eventually sorted.

Inside this box set are 3 Christmas-themed novels which are so entertaining, light-hearted with some banter & hot romance complete with a HEA. Each story is different with hopes & dreams of the characters getting their heart-melting first Christmas together. I have previously read each of these ARC novels & these are my individual honest reviews.
Naughty or Nice
Re: Being Naughty is More Fun!
Felicity is pulling out all the stops at being a naughty girl when trying to get Carson to go the next step from long-time friends to being in a relationship. This little vixen keeps pushing the envelope, getting what she wants & no one else is going to stop her from getting Carson. They go through up's & down's, second-guessing themselves in whether they are doing the right thing or not. A nice Christmas love story to enjoy!
A Very Bossy Christmas
Re: Christmas Memories – Damon & Kate
He's the boss who has been tormenting & bullying his assistant, Kate. She is witty & is quick at throwing remarks back at Damon. He loves everything about her especially when she stands up to his constant teasing but one day, everything is going wrong for her & has a meltdown. Feeling really bad for going too far, he offers to drive her to her parents' home for the Christmas season. One little white lie leads to more, snowballing into what was initially supposed to be a fake relationship, is feeling more real as time goes on. Damon feels remorseful for his behavior as her boss but when the truth is revealed, will she be able to accept the reasoning on why he kept belittling her at every opportunity at the office? He showed his vulnerability & his true intentions were exposed. Definitely a first Christmas to remember! A great story to read, leaving you with the good feelings of a second chance romance novel.
Dashing Mr. Snow
Re: Dreaming of Candy Canes
Full of chuckles, fun times & embarrassments at Sadie's expense. Love the banter & lightness surrounding this story line. It was love at first sight when Alex first met her at the New-hire Orientation meeting. They work on different floors & their paths have not crossed until the day she had to go to his penthouse to get his signature on a contract. From that embarrassing moment, he's always around her. Sadie has mixed feelings towards her boyfriend of 4 years who wants "space to find out what he wants". Alex steps into her life, her circle of friends & joins her family to enjoy a Christmas he's never had. He wants her to be much happier, have a fulfilling & beautiful HEA with him.
This is more than just a family Christmas story. You can feel the love flowing from the pages. He is so tender & loving towards her, her heart melts for him as well as mine! A HEA that ends with fond happy memories of them as they enjoy many years together. Needless to say, the candy cane holds a very different meaning now & this love story will always pop into my mind of how they met.
This was three Christmas novellas and, as usually happens with anthologies, some were better than others. The middle story was the best. It was so well done and paced perfectly and the spice was ah-maz-ing.
The first one seemed a little fast, and maybe a little quick going from “boss I can’t stand” to “guy I’m actively fucking” but I was able to get behind it for the most part. My biggest hang up was that Damon kept doing shit to dig her deeper into their fake dating scheme without ever talking to her about it.
Carson and Felicity’s story was actually the hardest to get through. Felicity was super whiney, Carson just needed to man up, and there reasons for not being together were all over the place. Their fights and conflict felt so superficial and were, frankly, annoying.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 Plot: ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️/5 Christmas corniness: 🎄🎄🎄/5 (all three novellas take place over Christmas and Christmas is mentioned a ton, but it didn’t really mean into the theme, per se.) Best line: “I’m going to own you, kitten. I’m going to fuck you so good, so thoroughly, there won’t be any doubt in your mind who you belong to when I’m through with you tonight.” Worst line: none
This book is s collection of three Christmas themed steamy romance novels by Alexis Winter. I really loved books 1 and 2. They offered solid plot and relationship development, along with delicious amounts of spice. I would absolutely recommend the book based on those two portions.
Personally, I did not care for the third story in the book as it was mostly flashbacks to a time when the characters were children or teens. There was too much back and forth for me.
The first two stories were easily 5 stars, and as stand alone novels, that's what I will rank them. The third story gets three stars from me. I read the entirety of the collection for the purpose of review, but wouldn't read that story again.
3) A Very Bossy Christmas - 3 stars. This one is cool, Damon is just such an unnecessary jerk in the beginning.
2) Naughty or Nice - 5 stars The best friends to lovers story if Felicity and Carson is adorable. They both have always wanted each other since they were kids but are afraid to make it real.
1) Dashing Mr. Snow - 5+ stars Sadie and Alex’s story is my utmost favorite. Off the charts steamy romance between these two. I might run this one back next Christmas.
obsessed! All My Hallmark Christmas movies came to life but she made it spicy!
I couldn’t find a Christmas romance with great spice this year until I found this anthology and I binged read it and fell in love with Alexis Winter’s storytelling and characters. These three stories are great! They’ll tug in your heart, make you laugh, and turn you on. A Great Christmas book that will have you in all of your feels this holiday season.
I love holiday stories. This collection was good. I especially enjoyed the second one. I think.the fact that he was alone tugged at my heart. He was willing to step into another family and enjoy what they did no questions or attitude about any of it. That made me root for him all the way. When I think of all the people who are alone it just makes me want to have a big gathering for them. Merry Christmas!
It’s like visiting old friends for the first time!
To explain that headline, I own the first two of these books individually and loved them immensely! The last one was a bit of a surprise and loved it just as much. To be honest, I have absolutely adored every single word Alexis Winter writes! Thank you so much for your talent, Ms. Winter, and happy holidays to you and yours.
A wonderful Holiday-themed collection of books by Alexis Winter !
As always those 3 books are so very well written: full of great characters and strong and captivating storylines that made me smile, laugh and swoon; also with some drama and lotsa steam ;)
Highly recommended read; will certainly read it again !!
Alexis Winter is a new to me Author and I have to admit this was a cute unexpected read. Three short romance stories under on cover and all three were complete reads. I loved them all. Lots of feels, romance and a little bit of angst LOL. Always need the angst. I will pursue this Author's other books.
These were 3 independent stories. Not connected to each other. They were cute with some steam to them. Only complaint is that last story dragged out with the main characters constantly being at odds with each other. I was ready to go in the book and smack them upside their heads lol Otherwise a sweet read :-)
It's impossible to select a favorite among these 3 stories. As I read each one, that one was my favorite. Lol. Now that I've finished reading all 3, they're all my favorite!!
Honestly, the first story wasn't that good. There were funny parts but the character development wasn't there for me. The second and third stories were much better. I'd give it 3.5 stars but I disliked the first story enough that I didn't feel like it deserved 4.
Read the 1st and 3rd. The last one was sweet but also irritating. At first I liked the heroine and then she became too stupid to admire. At first I was frustrated with the hero, but then he turned out to be a sweetheart.
I thought all 3 stories were cute. They were spicy but all relatively different. I think they could have also been done not around the holidays and just been a series of regular stories. It seemed like adding the holidays was unnecessary. Overall enjoyed but not sure if I would recommend.
All three stories we different but all great. True love never her dies. They all go through their own adventure and excitement along with many emotions and lots of strong chemistry.
Thank you Alexis for great Christmas stories. Enjoyable.
Three short stories in 1. Nautyhy or Nice was my favorite of the 3, as I am a sucker for childhood friends turned to lovers. The other 2 stories were your typical bossy, dominant billionaire stories. A pet peeve of mine is a weak/ whiney FMC- and I felt the first 2 stories had weak FMCs.
The stories were good. The last story, even though it was a romantic plot (next door neighbors fall in love), just seemed to drag on. My favorite was the second story. I liked how the FMC took a step back to make sure what she felt was real.
I enjoyed this collection. Each story unique and fun. The second was my favorite. Miss Emmert and Mr. Snow. It's sexy when the guy is doing the chasing and and friends and family are around to watch.
Three stories in one! All the smushy Christmas romance that have an HEA with a few dips in the snow 🤣 before we get there 🎄🎅🏻 Puts you in a wintery festive mood.
The first 2 stories in this were actually not bad, but the third one just wasn’t it. Life is too short to force yourself to finish a book you don’t like. 🤷🏻♀️
