We do care about our financial situation, and sometimes, it is too hard to get good advice. I enjoyed this book because it approaches one of the biggest problematic situations in the financial sector: the industry tends to focus more on performance metrics instead of the person. I love how the author criticizes the current approach and invites people in the industry to think about the person. If there is a good relationship between the advisor and the client, it will be a key factor for success in terms of financial well-being.

The author is very wise, and he not only stays critical of the situation but also provides a 4-step approach to work closely with the client and build what he calls the “Total Relationship.” He aims to provide an approach that will have a long-term impact on the goals, which is very interesting. You must read this book; it is a valuable resource for the finance industry and also a way to recognize that, no matter the industry, a client-centric approach will be key to success.

This book changed how I see financial advising! It’s not just about financial advising and money talk; it’s all about creating real, strong partnerships between financial advisors and their clients. The author gives a clear guide on how to break away from the traditional way of doing things and build trust and connection.
What I loved the most is how it focuses on people first, and then numbers, not only on a financial focus. It’s about understanding clients clearly and working together to build higher incomes and wealth, not just financial but also personal and emotional connections. If you’re a financial advisor or want a clear perspective on managing your money with purpose, this book is definitely worth reading. It’s practical, inspiring, and brings a new meaning to what a financial partnership can be!

I just finished reading this book because of a recommendation from a friend. The Total Relationship is without a doubt a different book; after reading it, I have a new vision about the relationship between financial advisors and customers. Ray, with his personal and professional experience, proposes to build a relationship of trust and collaboration between the advisor and the client.
One of the most interesting things about the book is that through four key steps, the author guides us towards a healthier and more effective way of managing finances. I recommend this book because it has something to do with creating "true wealth" that ultimately translates into a fuller, more satisfying life.

The book offers a fresh take on financial advising that puts the client relationship and trust at the center. I think what I like the most is that the author’s writing is straightforward and simple, which is great so anyone can understand it. It also gives real-life stories and steps to help those advisors focus on the clients needs and their long term goals.
I think advisors are going to take a lot from it to help them do their job better and inspire people and clients to learn their financial status.
An insightful read for anyone in the financial industry that is going to help create a supportive client connection.
