Unfortunately, her angry, homesick brother - desparate to finish high school and move back to Regina - gets involved in trouble he should have known to avoid. Is she able to help him? Or forgive him? Will tall, kind Peter Bryant be a true freind to her brother, or to her - even when life gets difficult?

in search of life and the whole series by Anna Tikvah about Verity Lovells search for the truth was absolutely beautiful and inspiring. As a christadelphian teen I have grown up with this series as a staple in my bookshelf and it has really made me appreciate the goodness of God's truth and the wonderful plans he has for us. Christ is coming!!!!!! and we need to be ready for it. Verity's struggle to find the truth was dealt with fantastically and the use of scripture and explanations of the bible and biblical concepts were clear and concise, explaining the beliefs and the hope of Christadelphians very well. Anna Tikvah has done a wonderful job at bringing verity's search for the meaning of the bible to life. I recommend this book to anyone who is confused about biblical concepts, needs to be encourage or reminded or wants to start their journey to the kingdom of God.

I liked this book for all the wonderful scriptural exposition and descriptions of The Truth. It all seems so easy and logical to those of us who have had the luxury/gift of being around it for so many years. And, yet, it is also so frustrating when it all seems so simple to us, but not to someone else, especially someone we care so much for. If only people were as eager to seek and to find and - more importantly - to listen so open-mindedly and to learn as the main character.
To me, the story-line read a little to much like a Christadelphian fantasy novel. If it were that easy to convince someone and then have their friends so eagerly follow along, i would think there would be many more Christadelphians in this world.
However, this book isn't about the story as much as it is a means for laying out important scriptural principles in such a friendly, easy-to-follow, well laid out manner. There's isn't any real strong opposition, so it all reads pretty simple and logically. I wonder if it reads to easily to others, however.
I give it mediocre marks for storytelling (tho, i admit that i did get caught up in it towards the end) and high marks for scriptural exposition and readability.

I read this book a number of years ago and it's definitely always been a favorite. I can definitely relate to the unanswered questions the Verity had and her search for answers.

I recently picked up it's sequal, and although it doesn't necesarily pick up where this book left off it has all of the same charectars, and it's now 10 years later. To be continued.

Although I am not religious, I read this book as my Mum asked me to, so I could understand in more depth what she believes in. It may not be the best written book, but I found it to be really insightful and I will probably continue to read the next book in the series. If you are interested in learning more about the Bible I would highly recommend this book :)
