Great and useful information. Held my interest from start to finish. Generated some behaviors in me towards my wife that have produced results. A lot of girl code has been shared here.
Highly recommended.

When I started reading this book I was a little put off with a woman writing to husbands about how to treat their wives. True, women know how they want to be treated but telling a guy how to do it seemed almost like badgering. Just being honest. Thankfully, the author finds a happy medium between good advice and careful prodding.

TerKeurst strives to show men how to love and cherish their wives the Biblical way. She delves into topics like caring for your wife spiritually, communicating with her and encouraging her, and even how to fill her emotional and physical needs. For only being 130ish pages, this book is crammed full of information for the oblivious man. Almost too full in my opinion. The book could have been longer so the author could expound on each topic more thoroughly. As it is we are left with only a taste for the subject matter. Thankfully she gives the reader an extensive book list from footnotes so we can continue researching the topic.

The most useful thing about the book is not really the text. After each section Lysa gives a helpful hint on how the husband can use the knowledge they just acquired to their benefit. Something as simple as writing a note to your wife or making a list of things she is good at. Whatever it is they are great suggestions on how to take the books material to life application.

All in all a good, quick read for the husband who is just starting to explore the subject of how to treat his wife. There are definitely better books out there, but this is a good place to start.

I received this book from a friend. In fact my wife got the "His heart" copy and I received the "Her heart" copy. This book has allot of insight in a small package. I appreciate the written prayers and have incorporated the language used in them into my own prayer time with/for my wife.

Eye opening...

It was a good book. It made me face some weaknesses in our relationship that can be fixed. I look forward to "Capture His Heart".
