Hayze has been cast out of a world that makes no sense yet holds the only thing that ever felt right.
Aura.
Getting back into the Elemental Games would mean helping her survive when so much is stacked against her. But it would also mean leaving behind everything else…
Aura is trapped and the one person she was never meant to trust has been torn away, leaving her to fight the Elements alone. Harnessing her powers has never been more important. Her life depends on it.
Is Hayze and Aura’s forbidden love their destiny or will it be their downfall? Because when the lies outweigh the truth, their enemies are about to become the only ones they can trust.
An intoxicating thrill ride packed with twists, romance and nail-biting action! Lovers of Maze Runner and Hunger Games will devour Elemental Uprising. One-click your copy now.
Heidi Catherine writes fantasy and dystopian novels, which gives her a chance to escape into worlds vastly different to her own life in the burbs. While she quite enjoys killing her characters (especially the awful ones), she promises she’s far better behaved in real life.
Other than writing and reading, Heidi’s current obsessions include watching far too much reality TV with the excuse that it’s research for her books.
Elemental Uprising is the second part of The Elemental Games series by Heidi Catherine and Tamar Sloan. The first part was really enjoyable, however there was something missing. I was curious about Elemental Uprising. Can this book bring the missing pieces together? What adventures will await?
This book is a lot of adventure and just a bit of character development. In my opinion there could be more character development and maybe a bit humor, since this story feels a bit blunt or forced. Don’t get me wrong, since I enjoyed reading this story, I just don’t feel like this book is the best one of these authors.
Here we go! Now this is the kind of story I'm used to by these authors. Lots of action and the characters are starting to make an impression. Looking forward to more.
In a future world destroyed by climate change the hope of survival rests on the shoulders of eight teenagers. They need to learn how to master their elemental powers, but to succeed they are forced to go through life-threatening situations - and without knowing why.
Since this is the second book in the series I can't reveal much if I want to avoid spoilers. The first book ended in a cliffhanger, and Elemental Uprising takes off right there. We certainly get a lot of action and surprises in this book as well, and we keep getting Aura's and Hayze's POV's. We get to know the characters better, which always makes me feel more engaged. We also get leaders who take for granted that their way to handle things is the right - and only - way. And what does that usually lead to? Resistance and revolution. This book also ends in a cliffhanger, but I've got the third book lined up!
* I received an ARC from the authors and I'm giving my honest review. *
The second in the Elemental series maintains the flaws that haunted the first book. The lack of editing (not to be confused with copy-editing, mind you) means this story is about 60 pages too long again. The 'romance' here is clearly designed for the tween audience, and some of the writing from the perspective of the two main characters indeed seems to have been done by tweens. The story repeats the first story for the most part, which is somewhat criminal... We still get very little understanding or information about what is actually going on or why the 'Elemental Games' are required, apart from as a brief aside virtually at the end. A 3-star rating is being generous, realistically. All in all, if you want to read something with a suggestion of some quality by these authors, you are far better off going for their series about deadly bees.
The game continues, and those caught in it are fighting for their survial, but there is more to these Elemental games than they realise. Is the challenge too much for these teens, especially with those they have lost along the way? It seems like Aura has lost Hayze, although she doesn't have time to grieve for the games have moved on. Hayze is determine to make his way back, can he beat the odds? I loved the action, danger, drama, suspense with a dash of romance that this story has. I am looking forward to the next book, and finding out what happens.

The games continue and Hayze will do anything to get back to Aura. This story was full of twists and turns and surprises. The teens that are left in the game are continuing to try to gain control of their powers, while trying to survive the tricks and traps that continuously befall them. This was as action-packed as the first book. Kept me reading to find out what was going to happen next. Looking forward to the next book.

This is an amazing book, with a fast pace and a lot of unexpected turns and twists. Nothing is as it seems. The only real thing is love between Aura and Hayze - and even this is put to test. Also, the love of Pace for Tempo is a constant - even that he know the truth about their past. The strugle not end here, and I don’t know that the game ended. Can’t wait to read the next book to find out!

Elemental Uprising is the Second book in the fabulous 'Elemental Games' series. It continues straight on from Elemental Games (book 1) and does have a cliffhager ending.
This is an action packed book that will keep you reading until the last page and leave you wanting more. Great characters and a good storyline keep the book moving at a brisk pace. I thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.
This was fantastic! We jump back on this incredible ride as we rejoin our characters in this incredible world. Action packed and brimming with adventure, romance and twists and turns galore, our characters are trying to control their elemental powers whilst in the games and survive. The world building is so descriptive and you find yourself totally immersed and in the games with Aura and co and after that ending I cannot wait to read the next book.
As the games continue, the surviving contestants begin working together until Skylus learns to fly and goes rogue. Pace and Aura are still caught up in the other's memories, not realizing the element they think is theirs is incorrect until Hayze turns up again and shows them the truth. This story is full of action and unfortunately ends with a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.

If you loved the Hunger Games or Maze Runner you will love this series. These chosen ones are learning about magical powers and the stakes are deadly. Foes become friends, upbringing and everything you have been taught is turned upside down. Who will survive this literal baptism by seemingly natural disasters. Epic fantasy that keeps you turning pages.

Elemental Uprising is the second book in the "Elemental Games" series. I really liked the first book, but this book is an improvement in the narrative, especially because of the action packed scenes. I can only recommend this series.

This is an interesting YA elemental series, but it ultimately isn't for me! I'm glad I gave the series a shot as I love books by these authors, but this one wasn't my favorite. The series has great Hunger Games vibes and an interesting premise!.

The authors have pulled off yet another outstanding novel that I have enjoyed indubitably and could not put down. Did I read this way too fast? Yes! And no! I could not have read this book fast or slow enough for how good it was. With just as many (if not more) twists, turns, deceit and romance as the first novel, I cannot wait to begin book 3.
Hayze and Aura has so much chemistry and belief in the other elementals that you’re on a roller coaster ride from the start. The world building from these two authors is amazing. I am totally hooked on these two authors and you will also.
This is a really enjoyable second part to this elemental fantasy, dystopian series! Great ideas, a good group of main characters & lots of action with a great pacing to the story! A really interesting fantasy read!
Fun series! Good action and interesting story with that sweet dash of romance! These characters still find themselves in a dangerous situation with mysteries still unfolding. An entertaining book 2 for this series, looking forward to the next one!
Now THAT’s what I’m talking about. So much better than the first book and all your questions are answered, while you’re thrown some new curveballs as well. I enjoyed this so much better than Games and devoured it more quickly. Starting Wars as soon as I can!
Absolutely astoundingly incredible as always 👏👏👏 Heidi and Tamar always do such a fantastic job at keeping you interested and on the edge of your seat. The ending was insane, as always and I need more NOW! Onto book 3 😏
Wow enjoyed quite a lot, but is similar to the Hive books. Wish I did not have to till April for Elemental Wars, because I am looking forward to the continuation of story.
