Oxford Readings in Philosophy

Political Philosophy (Ox Readings Philosophy Series)

Rate this book
The aim of the Oxford Readings in Philosophy series is to bring together important recent writings in major areas of philosophical inquiry, selected from a variety of sources, mostly periodicals, which may not be conveniently available to the university student or the general reader. The editor of each volume contributes an introductory essay on the items chosen and on the questions with which they deal. A selective bibliography is appended as a guide to further reading.

Berlin - Two Concepts of Liberty
Schumpeter - Two Concepts of Democracy

Apparently these are very good. Or at least, both are cited often. Would help if I understood more of it, but from the rather limited bits which I do, seems to be something interesting there.

Berlin - positive and negative liberty
Schumpeter - eighteenth-century of philosophy was a bit stupid (implied that everyone would come to the same conclusion, barring stupidity or anti-social interest).
