Kai Serrano, Hollywood director, needs a Navy SEAL to be a consultant on her next film. What she neither needs, nor wants, is to be distracted by him, even if he is every woman’s ideal military action hero.

Waters is a man with no identity. Even if someone knew his real name, it would only lead them to a dead man. He cannot afford to get distracted by an attractive, sassy director. Relationships are not allowed, even if he wanted one.

Kai and Waters work well together, but there's trouble brewing on the set. Items are going missing, accidents are on the rise, and Kai’s office and living space have been broken into. To top it all off, now her brother is missing, but it's unclear if he's been kidnapped or hiding out. It's clear Kai is in danger, but from whom? Is it her executive producer who attempts to belittle her at every turn? Is she leverage in her brother's disappearance? Or does she unknowingly have something she shouldn't?With the stakes this high, are Kai and Waters good enough to figure out what’s going on without falling for each other in the process?

Good Enough is Book 1 in Thea Deadman's Tribe series and also a debut novel....This was such a great read and I can say I am already looking forward to more from this author and series. I love a good romantic suspense story that give me the twists, turns and drama with some sizzling moments. The author delivered of what I love in reading a story like this. A hot Navy SEAL and a very strong leading lady full of sass as well as the connection and chemistry between Waters and Kai is truly undeniable. Danger, intrigue, romance and the banter!!

Kai is a strong, independent film director with no filter and holds nothing back. She wants to direct a film that is accurate in details and hires a Navy SEAL to consult with. Waters is not initially looking forward to being the Navy SEAL to consult with over a film, but as Waters gets to know Kai on a work level, he is quite impressed, but he will always be a protector with his radar on high alert at all times. Waters feels like he is on alert knowing that Kai may be in danger, especially when her brother is missing.....what happens next and will Kai ever feel like she is good enough...

I do not want to give spoilers but this is a great read. There is so much details that has you at the edge of your seat turning the pages to see what happens next in the story. I love the dual POV in this story and I cannot wait to see what is next!!

Be aware that this story could cause triggers. It contains a violent assault.
Good Enough is Nicole Craig’s debut book and the first book in the romantic suspense series Deadman’s Tribe. This is one author to look out for. I see good things for her.
It is great start to what promises to be a great series. I do love me some good alpha sexy military-security Navy SEAL men stories. Nicole seamlessly weaved a fast-paced twisty plot and multiple storylines that leaves you breathless right the way through. The story flowed effortlessly and seamlessly show casing just how good this author is at telling a great story.
Good Enough is filled with intrigue, danger, tension and suspense that jumps from the page leaving me engrossed with every twist and turn.
I loved the fully developed, complex and well written strong characters, the alpha men of the Deadman team, the loyalty, the comradery and banter and the strong heroine often had me laughing.
The story is engaging is at times heartfelt, heartbreaking and heartwarming. I am not giving away any spoilers I want you to discover Nicole’s work in all its glory for yourselves.
I can't wait to read the next book; I am addicted to the Deadman’s Tribe!

Wow this blew me away.
I do love Military/Security genre and this did not disappoint.
It started strong and remained that way all the way through.
The characters were wonderfully thought out and strong, I loved Kai potty mouth.
The team were a well oiled machine, they gelled well, knew each other to a fault and ribbed each other like real family and were loyal to a fault to one another.
Kai was the sister of one of the men’s former teammates so they were obliged to help, she thought they were purely there to help her with her job on set of a movie based on military, her brother said he couldn’t help as was working but called in a favour.
The men thought Kai was in danger due to her brothers work so watched her as well as worked with her. Her missing brother was a concern to the team and tho it took time as he was skilled and hid the clues rather too well, but Kai remembered information that led to huge breakthrough.
I loved how Waters behaved, loved the thoughts he randomly thought about Kubrick smelling of lilacs for example, for a military guy it showed his inner soft side. He fought his attraction for her safety after a loss he was emotionally drained and it was so heartbreaking. ( I won’t spoil with more deets )
Sometimes it’s small details in a book that make it from a good read to a fantastic book that stays with you long after you finish reading it.
This book is full of little details that show care in the storyline bringing it together, for example
All the pencils are used and blunt, chapters later when being used again it’s commented that Waters sharpens them all. It’s a minor detail that isn’t important to the story but the fact the author drew our attention to the fact makes it gel and all come together. I loved this fact.
So much heartfelt moments that isn’t often captured, Waters has been through so much trauma it is heartbreaking but true military dangers.
A few things are left open which I’m not a fan of but I’ll have to try to be patient and hope book 2 will answer those questions I’m left with.
I definitely recommend this book
A fabulous debut book.

An entertaining and engaging romantic suspense novel which had me hooked from page one. Hollywood director Kai Serrano needs a Navy SEAL to be a consultant on her latest film, but she wasn’t expecting ‘every woman’s ideal military action hero’, Waters. Neither of them are looking for a relationship and Waters, a man with no identity, isn’t even allowed to have one. Waters realises that Kai is in danger when her brother goes missing following trouble on the set, including break-ins, thefts and accidents. Waters needs to figure out who she’s in danger from if he’s to protect her, and one suspect is her belittling executive producer. However, she could be leverage in her brother’s disappearance or she could unknowingly have something that she shouldn’t. As the couple try to figure it out they can’t ignore their mutual attraction and the growing connection they share. This is a fast paced, action packed story with plenty of drama, suspense and of course romance. The chemistry between Kai and Waters sizzles off the page, and I love how their relationship develops throughout the story. The storyline had me gripped and the plot twists kept me guessing as to the outcome of the story. This is book one of a new series and I look forward to reading book two.

Wow! This might be the first book this author has published, but you would never know it by reading the book. I had to read it a second time, it was that good! I loved the characters and all their hilarious innermost dialogue. The plot was developed and with all the suspense, I couldn’t put the book down.
“Ohmygod. He needs to talk more often. Every time he speaks, his voice reminds me of hot fudge sliding down vanilla ice cream.”

Kai “Kubrick” Serrano was sassy and full of life. She had me rolling with some of her “Kubrickisms” and her take-no-prisoner attitude. Waters might have been indifferent when we first encountered him, but he definitely came out of his shell with Kai. Their chemistry was explosive.
I love this book and waiting until August when the next book will be released will be so hard. I am so glad I discovered Nicole Craig and loved her writing style.

This book was such a struggle for me. I wanted to put it down so that I could savor the story, I wanted to binge read it because it was so good. I stayed up late, reading long after I should have been in bed. I had to leave all Kindle devices away so that I could focus on the other responsibilities of my life because I was so wrapped up in Kai & Taylor’s story, I knew that I would get nothing else done.
Kai is a wonderful producer and very great at her job. With a smart mouth and her creative cussing, she was easy to related to. Taylor is the best at his job, which is secretive and nobody really knows what he does, unless he wants you to know.
There is everything in this book. The romance, mystery, suspense. All the things that keep you turning the pages as rapidly as you can.
Honestly, is it August yet? I’m ready for book 2! I want to know more about everyone.

This is a great way to start a series. I am all for the protective male lead and being in the military is a plus. This book is more than just a romance book, it has action, suspense, romance, twists and turns, and over all just a fast paced page turner. It draws you into the story and then keeps you hang on the words at the end of every page. I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it in one day. This book is one where you just snuggle into a comfy blanket and spend the day swept away by the words on the pages. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one in the series. I have a feeling that the character developments and story lines will only get better and better with each book.

Good book

Kai was a movie producer and wanted Tribe to provide someone help her with movies about Navy Seals. Waters was sent for the job. Kia's boss was a real prick, but she held her own. I loved Kai attitude.

Read Trigger warnings! There is an assault that is pretty brutal and could be triggering !
I really loved this book, and the writing style.
Loved that you had closure but they left one story line going into a second book. Not a huge cliff hanger but enough to keep you waiting for August to hurry up! Loved the connection that Kai and Waters have right from chapter 1. Watching them evolve and their relationship and characters develop was actually really fun and kept me wanting more.
This is also the authors first book, so she set the bar pretty high!!! Waiting for more!!

This is a new author to me but I'm definitely keeping tab's after reading her debut novel.
This story was a well thought out plot, different to the military service romance I've read before.
It has a great storyline and really engaging characters.

I kept my emotions together till 90% in... It starts at We beseech thee...
Boy the tears were 😭.

The story kept me hooked and I would sneak a read every chance I got to keep up with what was happening.

It's not often I give 5 star's to a new author/ 1st book but it's definitely one of my Top reads of this past few months. And the way Ms Craig hooks you for book 2 at the end... Well I can't wait for book 2😁

Nicole knocks it out of the park with her debut book. I couldn't get enough as this story captivated and intrigued me. Instant attraction, but Kai and Waters fight it until they can't...then the sparks combust. There is a lot of emotion amongst the mystery, danger, and twists and turns. I love how supportive the Tribe team is off Kai and her relationship with Waters. They're the kind of friends every one needs at their backs. Kai is a super independent, strong, fiesty woman who doesn't let societal definitions of how a woman should be and what she 'should' do corral her...otherwords a kindred spirit. And Waters loves that about her and supports her need to be that woman while also being the protective alpha...such perfection with this couple. I absolutely cannot wait to see what Nicole has in store for us in Book 2!

Good Enough is the first book in The Deadman’s Tribe Series by Nicole Craig. We follow Kai Serrano. Kai is a Hollywood director who needs consulting from Navy SEALS. When her brother calls in a favor she ends up working alongside Waters. Soon they find themselves wondering if Kai’s life is in danger and does it have anything to do with her missing brother. I thought this was a pretty good romance suspense. Plenty was going on to keep you guessing and clues to keep you intrigued. I enjoyed the dynamic between Waters and Kai. There was good chemistry. They were fun. I thought this was a really good start to the series.

Kai Serrano is a movie director.
Ka Bar is Kai’s brother.
Waters works for The Tribe.
God is The Leader of The Tribe.

Waters and Kai meet at her trying to hire The Tribe ( security firm) to help train the cast on Navy Seal tactics and training.
Along the way their chemistry is an explosive ascending and descending roller coaster off the charts.
Incidents keep happening and Waters and his team try to keep Kai safe and get to the bottom of the incidents.
Can Waters and Kai have a Happily Ever After?

This book has an edge of your seat suspense, intrigue, drama, danger, and a chance at love.

Great Job Nicole Craig !!!!

I love a good romantic suspense story that can pull me in from page one. This story had it all action, drama, romance and characters you can connect with easily. This author is new but I’m already excited for more. The characters pull you so completely into their world making it almost impossible to put the book down until the last page. It’s got a fast pace with a lot going on but the author does a great job of keeping it in a very clear story that makes you sink into it. I know the year has just started but this book is already in my top reads for it. Five stars and can’t wait to see where this author takes us next.

If you’re looking for a good mix of romance, suspense, alpha H, and stand her ground h, this is the book for you!
**
The details in the book do an impeccable job of drawing you in and the characters personalities keep you hooked. (The editing is also exceptional!!!)
**
Kai is an established producer who wants to ensure accuracy in her upcoming film about military seals. So when her subject matter expert tells her he can’t do it but recommends a group to call, she sets up the meeting. From the first meeting, Kai (who soon becomes known by a nickname/call sign) stands strong against the pushback she receives and makes an impression. With her take-no-prisoners and her potty mouth, she continues to railroad over any obstacle put in her way.
**
Waters, a prior SEAL who now works for a security company, is coming off an injury and is tasked with meeting — and then assisting — Kai. She catches him off guard in the best way — though it takes him a while to admit that he’s drawn to her in a personal capacity, because he just doesn’t do that. The angsty romantic tension stretches out for a whiiiiile before there’s resolution. Some hard decisions are made but, in the end, they both find that love prevails.
**
With a few unexpected turns, the reader experience the highs and lows anticipated in a romantic suspense! Kudos to the author on such an exceptional first book! Deadman’s Tribe books will now be one-clicks for me.

Well when I was asked if I would like to get an ARC copy for debut author I was a little worried as some times they can be a little loose then when I saw the size of the book approximately 410 pages I was like well lets hope its good or this is going to be a drag I shouldn't have worried at all this is a tight well written suspense story with multiple storylines and a engaging cast of characters that take you along for a fast paced ride that had ne reading into the early hours of the morning. Kai Serrano is a kickarse heroine who takes no guff from anyone and her comebacks to the man that tries to talk down to her will have you chuckling When she needs help her brother send her in the direction of the tribe where she has an initial meeting with Waters with voiceovers from God. From the word go he is deeply attracted to her but he is a man who believes no woman is safe if she gets close to him as his past has shown. Soon he is her shadow has she directs her movie but there are many hidden undercurrents not only between them but also on the set He may not want to get involved but he is unable to resist even if he knows that both their hearts will break when he has to walk away because after all a dead man cannot have a relationship. This debut novel has whetted my appetite for the rest of these dead men walking and I can't wait for more

Spunky movie director, Kai Serrano, seeks out a Navy SEAL consultant from The Tribe. Even from their initial meeting, sparks fly with Kai and ex-SEAL Waters. When she becomes a target, Waters goes from consultant to protector. This was a fast-paced romance story and I immediately fell in love with Kai and Waters! The story is wonderful, as are the characters

While I was hesitant about this one after the beginning I ended up loving it! Kai and Waters are wonderful characters. They made me laugh and cry! They both are deep and have a lot of secrets between them. Not only are these two unforgettable characters but the author created a team that hold up to the high standards of the two main characters. I enjoyed my time with them and seeing them work together was great.

This is a incredible first book for this author. The story is well put together and moves along at a good pace. It enthralled me and kept me engaged. This has a lot of cute little pieces that make this enjoyable as the author carries them throughout the whole story. Example: backpack of death or the list of creative words. Thinking of those just makes me smile.

Overall this brought me much enjoyment. I look forward to more in this series and from this author! But I really want all these boys..Ahem men to get their special someone.

Kai and Waters

Good Enough is the debut novel by Nicole Craig. Ms. Craig is a new to me author. I am happy to say, this book was a great read. It is the first book in the Deadman's Tribe series. I can't wait to read the next book! What do you get when you combine a head strong, beautiful, and smart director with an overprotective Alpha male? Fireworks...Kai has come to the Tribe for help because her brother sent her. He is nowhere to be found, and she has a movie to direct, on time and under budget, no less. Sparks fly as Waters lays down rules, and Kai doesn't do well with a man telling her what to do. The road to their HEA is fraught with secrets and danger. Will they succeed in winning the HEA they deserve? Get this book ASAP and find out. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.
