E.M. Shue is an Alaskan award-winning romance author. She writes in many different sub-genres but always features badass heroines in gritty situations. If you love mafia short stories with a man who falls hard for his women and will stop at nothing till he claims her in all ways, then read Artfully Bred.

For this being a short story, I felt like it told a complete story and it only left me wanting more. Spencer falls in love with Vittoria but her dad tells him that he isn't good enough. So Spencer leaves to prove he is, by making sure he can support her and by making a name for himself.

Vittoria doesn't know this and assumes he just left her. So she loses herself to her art and tries to ignore her future of having an arrange marriage since her family is in the mafia. But, times up and her dad has promised her hand to another and now she is left trying to figure out how to get out of it. In walks Spencer out of the blue and all hell breaks loose!

Read this now to found out what happens!

I couldn’t put this book down! Such a page turner! Short story, well worth the read. Spencer and Vittoria really have that spark that is electric!

Vittoria’s dad is wanting to marry her off in an arranged marriage. She just wants to marry the man she wants. Spencer, who her dad doesn’t approve of is that man. They had a special bond until he left, but why? Wait til you find out! He has left for two years, but is now back. He’s bound and determined to make Vittoria his. Will she want him back after their time apart? Can Spencer stop Vittoria marrying who her dad wants her to? What lengths does her father go to make her do as he wants? It’s a race against the clock, but Spencer more than shows he will do anything to not only protect Vittoria, but be with her forever. What a perfect ending to an amazing story!

I devoured this book! Vittoria lost her heart to Spencer a few years ago and then he disappeared. Her heart was broken, but she tried to move on. Spencer loved Vittoria the moment he met her, but Vittoria's father was never going to approve the match of his daughter and a bodyguard. He may have spent the years away from Vittoria in the shadows, but when her nuptials are fast approaching to a man she does not know, Spencer will make his move. I love these stories where the main character is so obsessed with his partner that all he can think of is getting her pregnant. It's an exciting story that involves the mafia, bodyguards, true love, betrayal and ends with a happily-ever-after. Definitely recommend this book.

The mfc's age changed a year in 6 pages without a time jump. It's a fast-paced book, more full of action than I expected. The mother didn't surprise me. That last chapter was a nice addition.

Brutal betrayal

Vittoria has grown up a mafia princess so she knows all about the shadows and the darkness that surround them, but selling her to the enemy is betrayal at the highest level. Thankfully she is feisty, strong and determined to claim her own future, even before Spencer swoops in to claim her. Spencer is everything she wants and everything that has been forbidden to her...but not any more. It's dark, dirty and very dangerous but it's also delicious, I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

A great way to start the year with is a book that has all the things you love! Ms shue brings you a man that falls hard for his woman that to keep her, he has to bred her!! Yaaasss daddy gimme! Spencer and Vittoria are made for each other. They knew that they was meant for each other, but her dad is stopping them from being together. I really enjoyed this book. Vittoria was being forced to marry her family's enemy by her father. The only man she ever loved had disappeared from her life. On the night before she was to be married he shows back up to protect her. This story had secrets, betrayals, actio, danger, and steam. It was a short, enthralling read. Love E.M. Shue's stories. Can't wait for the next one! I received a review copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

This one sitting, hot as you can get was a spectacular read. I found all that I wanted in this short one sitting read with Spencer and Vittoria. As an alpha, Spencer delivers, and Vittoria knows what she wants and will follow her true love anywhere. Definitely took me away into a wonderful universe of intense attraction and love.

I loved how I was draw into the book on the very first sentence and I couldn’t put it down. The way it’s written you are drawn in, you can connect to the main characters, and you will definitely be scared when they’re scared or cry when they cry, feel when they feel!

Unconquerable devotion! Spencer was not going to give Vittoria up without a fight and he was not afraid to do what it took. I love the devotion they had for each other. This was a short story that was full of action and undeniable love. I am looking forward to more of these stories.
